Lionel's words to Lana about being on the edge of a dangerous precipice and finding herself someplace very dark were not a threat, but a warning. He wasn't threatening her with something that early seasons Lionel would do to her, but rather a figurative warning about her own soul.
She crossed that bridge when she married Lex, she’s doing the same thing to Lionel that Lex has done to her and other a million times over. I think she became jaded and took ln those luthor traits in order to survive a cut throat “family”
I loved this scene. Lionel telling Lana to let go of her anger towards Lex, before she became too dark. And it worked. She turned out to be a hero in the end. Love Lana.
Which is weird because it was his fault she ended up marrying Lex and even needing to fake her death in the first place. Oh and let's not forget he threatened her that he would kill Clark.
@@Akechi_The_Phantom_Detective , if Linel knew that SuperGirl was on Earth then he would have formed a plan for Zor-El to being the vessel of the last Phantom instead of Lex, and he would have formed a plan where the clone Jor-El and the Lara from the Blue Crystal got their powers back by Clark pouring his blood into them, and then he would have formed a plan where Zor-El being the true vessel of the Bizzaro Superman sending that Kyrptonian to the Phantom Zone by having the help of Clone of Jor-El, Lara from the Blue Kyrptonite, and SuperGirl instead of relying solely on a Blue Kyrptonite Bomb instead, and they could have formed a New Fortress of Solitude with that piece of the Blue Kyrptonite instead of having Tess Mercer’s Piece of Blue Kyrptonite.
After the first few seasons, I couldn't stand Lana. When Clark got back with her towards the end of the show and everyone said she matured, she still irritated me.
Lionel’s facial expression showing that he realized he’d clearly underestimated Lana earlier as just another weak-willed woman. There’s a mix of awe in it, he’s realizing how much of a Luther she really is deep down and he probably regretted that she wasn’t still a part of the family
i like seeing lionel back someone in the corner and call them on there crap.i think when lionel say's stuff about letting it go he means her obsession for revenge on lex.i did not like lana during that season manipulating her own boyfriend just so he just would not find out how dark she was becoming but he found out anyway during episodes like wrath and possibly the bizzaro arc.
Get lost! Ironic how you see two dark ppl better than Lana, to excuse him for what she did, everybody used her as a vessel for their lies, yet in someway she shone out and bright
Cassandra765 Yes she was. She was always manipulating Clark as well as other people to do what she wanted and throwing temper tantrums when she didn't get her way.
I didn't see her as manipulative in the earlier seasons. A bit spoiled and too doted on, yes, but I never saw her actively being shady like she is here.
+Cassandra765 you're right she does not manipulate people and remember this just because she looks like she was married to lex doesn't mean she was really married to lex which realistically means she was never to married lex and also remember this an arranged marriage that becomes a forced marriage is illegal so when Lionel threatened her at that moment she was forced to pretend to be somebody that she never wanted to be which means you were pretending to be honest on the outside when in fact you weren't being honest
@Hector Barbossa Me too. Lana's fake smile and the whole "I'm innocent" act gets on my nerves. Lionel knew she was full of shit straight away because he's told so many lies and kept so many secrets in his life he knows when people are lying.
Once she married Alex, she took on alot of his traits, probably for the sake of survival in his cut throat world, but it never seemed to go away. She’s doing exactly what Lex has done to her a million times over. She’s no better than Lex, here.
I like that she is apart of the Luthors family tree obviously i don't like what they did but i like that she was apart of that family tree and tess i kinda like dark lana but i also like her storyline in season 8 her finding herself apart from clarke and getting powers
I Didn't Like How She Lied With I'm Innocent Face After Lionel Confronted Her But Can You Really Blame Her Blame Her Lionel Threatened To Kill Clark If She. Didn't Marry Lex And Lex Made Her Think She Was Pregnant
Sorry Lionel you’re the last person to be lecturing on morality. You had your own parents murdered, meddled in Clark’s life, Johnathon, Martha, Chloe, had her safe house blown to bits, etc. It was wrong for Lana to do the things she did but she really loved Clark and tried so hard to keep her darkness at bay. She really did make an effort to make Clark see the good. When they finally did Brainiac attacks her. Revenge is a dangerous path but it was a path Lionel forced her on and he refuses to acknowledge that. He forced her to marry Lex so Lex would be occupied with Lana and wouldn’t have time to look into Clark.
Lana > Lionel’s sudden goodness was so ridiculous while he threatened to kill Clark if she didn’t marry psycho Lex who injected her with false hormones. The whole lexana was gross in general. Lana didn’t do her best thinking here but I can’t blame her actions. Clark didn’t either.
I agree,Lionel is one of the most horrible, hatebale villians we've ever seen on t.v. Characters like him aren't meant to have retribution stories. He wasn't some likeable antihero where the lines were blurred. He was a pure piece of garbage as a human being. To make matters worst,he got retribution and Lex was made into a piece of trash.
Once he became the Vessel/Voice of Jor-El, he was always basically good, but he still had to keep up his appearances as well, especially around Lex, though I don't think much of Jor-El and him being "good" also.
"Oh please. That line stopped working the day you faked your own death." I LOL'd haha

Si perché lui infatti è un santo
KK was so beautiful in this scene.. 😍😍
Perfectly executed scene between Lana and Lionel which seem to be two of the most dynamic characters in SV.
Lionel Luthor is such a badass.
"Haha indeed I was. You." lol omg I LOVE Lionel! He is amazing.
Lana was so annoying in this scene.
After the first few seasons, I couldn't stand Lana. When Clark got back with her towards the end of the show and everyone said she matured, she still irritated me.
She was annoying but worse was how everyone worshiped her.

Exactly. I loved it when Clark told her, "I don't think it's ME you can't face."
Get lost! Ironic how you see two dark ppl better than Lana, to excuse him for what she did, everybody used her as a vessel for their lies, yet in someway she shone out and bright
Of course, Lionel could see through Lana. She kind of is what the Luthors made her to be.
Cassandra765 No. She was like that long before she ever got involved with the Luthors.
I disagree. She was not this dark and vengeful. Nor was she so manipulative before she got into bed with the Luthors.

Some serious balls on Lionel to get all hoity-toity about it
Anger leads to the dark side of the.... oh wait wrong franchise. LOL! But you get my meaning.

I loved her fake innocence, it was pretty cheeky lol (if I assume she knew Lionel wouldn't be fooled but just wanted to annoy him)
But Lionel Was Wrong About Lana And Tess They Decided To Give Up Their Anger On Lionel And Lex And Changed For The Better

Best scene
Lana been through a lot because of the Luthors. Lionel had a hand in making her that way by forcing her to marry Lex.

Yeah he had turned good at this point. He’s what Lex was in season 1-4.
