I still don't understand how she didn't win.
Those high notes can't be pulled by most professional singers and she did it with perfection.
This just shows how much of Eurovision is fake
IMMI are you for real? She couldn't sing those high notes without almost choking. Her pitch was God awful and her technique is mediocre to say the least. Listen to Diana damaru, netalie dessay, Maria callas, to hear true masters singing high notes.

Therefore, in the case she would be the hard working chef who could've possibly spent hours a day trying to perfect a meal while you'd be the annoying customer who would demand absolute perfection in a dish that YOU haven't even attempted to make yourself.

As Italian, I'm flattered to see another country being represented by a song in my language.

Both Italy and Estonia sent masterpieces this year! I actually have more songs in Italian than in English in my top 5 (and this has nothing to do with the fact that Italian is one of my favourite languages)

Best vocals I’ve ever had the pleasure of hearing. This is by far the most entrancing, hypnotic Eurovision entry of all time. This masterpiece makes me not only appreciate but actively enjoy a genre of music that I haven’t ever really been into. This should’ve won, period.

I'm no fan of Opera but when I first heard this it gave me goosebumps and still does everytime I hear it. This was the underdog of Eurovision 2018 and despite it being 8th I'm glad it made it into the top 10 as I know this isn't the "norm" for Eurovision.
Granted it should've got higher or won but we know who the real winner of 2018 is, the underdog!

You're right there, it's not about talent, seeing as it is called the Eurovision Song Contest, it is a SONG contest not a vocal contest, people are supposed to vote for the best SONG and because most people don't particularly enjoy opera music, it was quite clear she wasn't going to win.
