  • Producing vocals doesn't have to be hard. In this video I share some simple tricks I use to make vocals pop out of the mix and deliver emotion and vibe, using Ableton. Some...pizazz! This isn't meant to be an in depth vocal mixing tutorial, it's a walkthrough featuring some special techniques you can use to add some life to those vox! Chop them up and add some life to your productions.

    96khz or 44.1 for your session?

      48khz! 44.1 is also fine, but more labels ask for 48k. IMO there isn't any major benefit to working at 96khz.

    What was your bass setting?

      The bass was DI through an Avalon M5 into an 1176, I used guitar rig (bass pro) and decapitator to give it some crunch, along with some EQ 😀
