Tips for Hiding Sanken COS11 Microphones in Ties | URSA Tips & Tricks

The black paint used on COS11 caps can wear off quite quickly, this can make them difficult to hide.
Simon demonstrates his favourite technique using a Super Black Birchwood Casey pen to touch up the tips of COS11s.
Be careful when applying the ink from this pen - I always face the mic down when dabbing it on and leave it to dry facing downwards.

Good tips. Keeping the tie flat is a good trick, although creating a natural middle dimple is a win win for sound and costumes on most ties ;)
