Looks like a nice, modest celebration. The bridge architecture is something I’ve never seen.
When I was a very young child, a Soviet ship visited our city. It was a celebration of some sort but I was very young so I don’t remember exactly. The captain gave my father and I a tour of the ship and then I took a picture with the captain. I still have this picture frames today.
He also gave me two pins from USSR. They say “Peace to world”

So if Crimea is Russian then Moscow would be Polish - we were there just you were in that peninsula.

Lisa theres nothing wrong in celebrating your own military forces.You are Russian and of course the Ukraine situation is not a good thing,but nothing wrong with giving a thought to your own forces.I actually find it interesting,to see all the ships of various types etc.As always a very absorbing video.

Beautiful Lisa, I love your videos of daily life in Russia as it helps to open minds. Technology is great to allow us to communicate and understand each other. It's so sad and deeply unfortunate that the world is returning to the old Cold War, because back then, every person had to decide which side of the Iron Curtain they physically want to be on. As borders close, and new curtains go up, families will be separated, as people are forced to make their choices to live in the free or unfree worlds. As citizens of the world we all need to be proactive and reject such divisive ways of thinking. I hope one day we can return to a world where we are all friends again and don't call each other 'enemy'. It takes good people on both sides to reach out to the other and reject obsolete thinking.

Lisa, I think you are awesome! You are brave to mention the unfortunateness at all and you shouldnt do even that little bit because of the possibility of reprisal and persecution. All we can do is hope the good guys win, and hope there is a fair and moral resolution and pray for that, but yes, dont talk about it. I am so sad about the people who protested and ended up in prison!! For 10 years or more!! Protests wont help when the response is devastating! Sad that billions are spent on warships and there is nothing left to help the suffering people!! Fortunately there is no actual external world. Its all an illusion. Its a dream world. The only thing thats real is love.
It's a complicated situation. Nothing about it is okay. There are always other and better options. My great grandfather would roll over in his grave if he knew the sacrifice he made did not stop people from doing this to each other still. Thank you for showing this side of things Lisa. Well, of course, it's not usually people doing this "to each other". There is always an aggressor, and someone at fault, and we know who that is in this case.
It is very valuable to get these insights into how Russians on the street live their lives. What you say/show even without comments, matches my own pictures of the whole, which helps to verify what I have taken in elsewhere. Thanks for your reports!

Just a few pointers: 1.) a ship is called she/her never "it". 2.)the exception is a submarine because it is a boat, unless you are a crewmember. Then it is still a boat but you refer to yours as she.
3.) As a Navy Vet who did a year in Iraq, I agree with the soldier (if he wasn't lying about his service) you will NEVER understand.

That's a Kirov class cruiser, carrying Moskit missiles with terminal hypersonic homing capability. Far East fleet has regular joint military exercise with China in the sea of Japan.

I am an American that served in Iraq. Although I strongly support the Ukrainians, at an individual level I support the veteran as what you encounter in a warzone really is a different world that civilians generally can not relate to. I also, generally do not like to talk to civilians about things in the war because frequently something that made sense to me at the time would not make sense to a civilian and it would take a long time to explain it all. While explaining it would also just open other things that made sense to me but would not make sense to someone in the civilian world. It really is a different world. As someone that has spent most of my life as a civilian but also served in a war, I can see it from both sides but there are major differences.
