is vietnam safe to travel to? Im kind of afraid of all the possible mosquitoes that can give you all kinds of virus. But my friend at the nailstudio told me that vietnam is a great place to travel to for warm weather and great food thats very cheap.
@@feyrune3205Vietnam is really safe for travel. If you intend to visit big cities and enjoy Vietnamese food, don’t worry about mosquitoes because there’re so little of them. If you go to the forest or to the sea, bring your mosquito repellent. Your friend is right. Vietnamese food is amazing and healthy. You can eat a lot without worrying about gaining weight. 😊

So glad Vietnam is opening up to tourism again. I was due to go last year but Covid put paid to that! Hoping to go in November for at least 10 days. One of the attractions for me is the food, and I can't believe how cheap it is. Gonna spend more on my air fare (Qatar, Business Class) out of London Heathrow than my hotel and everything else. Crazy. So looking forward to exploring beautiful Vietnam!

I am not sure what 'westerners' you know but Asian food is popular throughout the world. I think you are holding onto a stereotype. I don't know a single 'westerner' who dislikes Asian cuisines. Vietnamese food is famous the world over. Perhaps revisit your opinion on 'Western' people and actually talk to some real people- don't make assumptions or push stereotypes.
@@SaigonBrit Not really stereotype, I have had an experience with some tourists. I was eating snails with my friends and they passed by, one of them literally said: "Eww, how could they even eat that". They didn't know that me and most of my friends could understand them I think.

The Scots eat sheep's stomach, the Swedes pour elk fat into their coffee and eat Reindeer soup. Each to their own. There is no such thing as 'Asian' food or 'European' food. It’s very easy to make - search for “how to make kho quet”. It’s used as a dipping sauce for finger-sized steamed veggies as well. If a kid is a picky eater who hates carrots or radish or okra etc, give them some kho quet, they will be cured.
The thing i love sonny is not that he wants to just find an expensive restaurant or expensive food but he actually put efforts in finding good food that actually is worth the price.

The super iconic, beautiful, lovely, delightful, delicious, tasty, and outstanding crunchy rice is SOOO GOOOOD. They add more flavorings to the crunchy fried rice. Like, soy sauce, pig grease that looks like a sausage, and the best part is the fluffy, cotton-like fish. The fish looks like cotton, interesting isn’t it? It just melts in your mouth….well not really. It kind of my spreads all the flavor out once it’s in your mouth. Next time, once you come to Vietnam, try this recipe. It’s like chef’s kiss.

Thanks for repping us! Most Americans only know us by the Holy 3 pho, banh mi, and cold premade spring rolls which are good but not even touching the surface of our cuisine. I'd recommend the crab thick soup, the quail egg dumpling, and yes snails!!!!, plum sausage, you can skip the papaya salad and the crispy rice. He should have also gotten the crepe, and grilled rice paper to really complete the street food experience
9:42 the reason why it is salty is that "kho" means braise (a method of cooking food), which is already salty itself. and "kho quẹt" is just a braised dish with some extra heat to dry up the water and make the sauce extra thick and salty
From Andrew to Mark to Sony I must say these guys have kept my exploration of new foods healthy. I'm such a picky eater and I wish I could eat whatever I wanted but that's not how my brain and body work lol. Picky eaters aren't by choice it's usually by factors. Mines I can't deal with certain textures or looks. My eyes eat first😂😂😂

I'd recommend the crab thick soup, the quail egg dumpling, and yes snails!!!!, plum sausage, you can skip the papaya salad and the crispy rice. He should have also gotten the crepe, and grilled rice paper to really complete the street food experience
9:42 the reason why it is salty is that "kho" means braise (a method of cooking food), which is already salty itself. and "kho quẹt" is just a braised dish with some extra heat to dry up the water and make the sauce extra thick and salty
