I have a 24 manual. I heard of like 2 or 3 faulty transmissions. Like someone said first year problems. I haven't heard of any engine problems. 5700km and I think it's the best Tacoma out of the 6 I have owned. This one is a manual base offroad and still think it's a nicer truck then the 3rd gen Pro I traded in for it
I've had my 02 4×4 single cab , longe wheel base Taco since it rolled off of the lot 23 years ago, and I wouldn't sell it for anything. An additional 10k in mods over the years and sitting at 223,458 miles , normal oil changes, and tune ups with almost no issues . The new one just doesn't do it for me.
Goodness, I love my Toyota Tacoma. She is just an SR5, but I call her my "Sunday Pickup"! Yes I do have 3 older restored Jeeps that I drive, but Toyota has a place at my table. Carry On Toyota!
had a 1998 4cy 4x4 Manuel single cab , 2008 pre runner one the last single cabs, now 2019 Tacoma 4x4 v6 sr sx access cab , still miss the manual transmission and just simple utility if was buying one id go just basic sr5 4x4 extra cab no opts I like the 6' box
Until the engine blows up. I hope they fix that for the 2025s. I'm not hating; I'm just stating the facts. I love Toyo! I had a 2022 Avalon Hybrid I loved, but I traded it in on the 2024 Crown Max and love it even more. Toyo makes excellent vehicles. Unfortunate the engine problems on the Tacoma the last few years.
Got a 2009 base single cab now has 150k miles on it. No stuff I like. Did get the 4 speed auto transmission 😊. Note it will out last most new tocomas and tundras with turbos 😅. Million mile class of pick ups. Oo there cheap 2 certainly easy to work on. Don't forget there 🎉cute
@@bx_718stryker7 the transmissions are failing at a very high rate. They will eventually be recalled like the Tundra. And there is no reason for the price hike. It's made with cheaper materials.
@@nathangibson2114 I'm not disagreeing with you at all. As soon as I saw about 5 reported transmission failures last week for the Tacoma I knew to just keep my 2020. I also don't see how they can justify the price of the trd off roads and trailhunters, which is what I was looking at but not anymore. Prices aside, the few lucky ones that have not had transmissions issues are loving the extra power and interior updates
@@bx_718stryker7 if and when they get it fixed, I’ll definitely look back at them. But between the Tacoma tundra and grand Highlander, I’m not sure the current leaders at Toyota know what they’re doing

Are you a Toyota Tacoma fan?!
Latest sales figures show a huge drop in the 4th gen sales. These things will NOT hold their resale value like the 3rd gen and below do.
Taco transmission problems and fear of engine failures like the Tundra, might be the problem.
Yes, they will they’re having first years production problems.
These things are already having engine issues. SMH

I machine those blocks. Literally employed by toyota lol. The 2.4t is an amazing engine.
Toyota has really changed, and soo many other company's killing off some of their best cars! Our world is literally different without them 😢
Criminally early, good vid boyz

Lots of heritage in them Toyota trucks!

I’m considering a new truck, but it’ll probably take me a while to figure out what options I need and another semester to get them to work. Help!
I think i know what an ideal truck could be...
2009 2x2 single cab so small so fun bad mpg now lol
Hilux > Taco
Too bad we never get those here
I would rather have my Ranger , not as trendy but just as good or better .
I have an 08 Ranger 4×4 and a 2002 Taco 4×4 and I won't sell either one .
Sad to see it go but with the market it had to go

How many Gs on the skid pad did you say....?
good truck
What is “cheap” about the 2024 Tacoma besides the quality?
All the ELECTRONICS is a big part of the lost mystic. Too much can go wrong and most of it is so they can jack up the price.
Why are you calling it the death of a legend. It’s a model That’s still being produced. And please stop saying Up To speed. It’s so crass
Don’t tell me you’re quitting ideal too
My neighbor have 1 for sale it's the blue one,x, runner
Most of us dont want a 4 cyl. Truck!!!!
Sure never hurt those first Toyota trucks having a 4 cylinder. Some of us want a smaller truck rather than a bigger engine.
These trucks are junk.
They screwed it up.
trucks are fine. Nothing like the old v6's obviously, but it's the price that's terrible to get one of them

Hilux is the king hahaha tacoma is just the king in the US. Hahahaha
v6 XRunner is Awesome and I would buy it if Naturally Aspirated or Supercharged, Not Turbo anything Lived with it and they only last 39,000 miles
No thanks!
