Great to see Laila Starr getting some love. My favorite read of last year. I was also blown away by Wonder Woman Historia. Definitely worth it. I think the DM edition has a little something extra on the inside of the dust jacket, so might be worth going for that one if still available.

AE Supes for All Seasons might be the BEST Absolute Edition that DC has ever published. The presentation and aesthetics of it is amazing. And it’s a beautiful tribute to Tim Sale.

My top six collected editions of 2023: Many Deaths of Laila Starr Deluxe (great premise, story and art) Eight Billion Genies Deluxe Edition (really fun; nice use of time jumps) Bogie Man: The Incomplete Case Files (exactly what Kickstarter is made for; amazing to see this lost John Wagner classic in HC) Year of the Lettuce (the third set of Roger Langridge dailies) Sentient Deluxe Edition (clicked with me, despite its wobbly bits) Snow Angels Library Edition (much the same - more Lemire!) HM to the Gwenpool omni (which didn’t reach the UK until 2023, but was a 2022 book and so technically shouldn’t be in the list). However, expanding out to the best book and presentation of _any_ comic I bought this year, that has to be the Mick McMahon Apex Edition - even thought it was released in very late 2022. But it’s making me really want to grab the two 2023 Apex Editions… Happy New Year, Omar!

Great list. I would love if Dark Horse continued the Badwordboy Monster-Sized editions and show BPRD: Plague of Frogs and Badword on Earth in a nice oversized format.
Great video. I got that Wasted Space edition and am still a bit torn about it. I really liked the story. I like Michael Moreci’s writing in general, so that part delivers as usual. It’s just the art that I’m not wild about. It looks to me like unfinished line work, but it’s obviously what was intended. I’ll revisit it in a year or two and see if the art hits differently. That happens sometimes. 😂

I do like Kelly Sue’s writing, but did not enjoy History Of The Marvel Universe. I don’t like that type of comic where it’s akin to reading a Marvel Handbook. That being said; would I still enjoy Historia?
Oh I’m enjoying he heck out of FF, Avengers, Cap, Moon knight and Ghost Rider. But when you can only choose 10 and with so many books. I mean Do a Power Bomb didn’t make it either. But these are also books released, not top reads. There are also top 10 marvel and top 10 dc Omnis released in 2023 videos.

Laila Starr was released 2 years ago, with a TPB in 2022. The Deluxe HC is a 2023 release. Oof, that pronunciation on 'Andrade'.
You have no idea how many times I say that about my own name. This was my favorite releases of 2023. So of course it made my list.
