This is the very reason I have immense admiration for Sohyang: she steadfastly avoids lip-syncing, even when her voice is fatigued and not at its peak. Her unwavering self-confidence and deep faith in God, who she believes will never forsake her, are truly inspiring. It's a testament to her dedication to her craft and her commitment to delivering genuine, heartfelt performances.
Mariah did the same and damage her voice and now y’all be laughing at her for not sounding the same !!
Her arrangements of the songs in "Immortalized" are so different from the originals that they feel strange to first-time listeners, but with multiple listens, listeners soon forget what the originals sounded like and the arrangements start to sound good.
Even with a sore throat, her vocal performance was simply incredible!!
She doesn't swallow the sound in, nor does she push it upward; the sound is well covered by the hard palate, and her fine bel canto is well connected to her breathing, even if her throat is swollen and sore from a cold.
Really enjoy the reaction. It's so easy to be wowed by Sohyang's vocal feat and overlook the musical arrangement she brings to this kind of performances. She added grandeur and excitement to this Disney song that others don't see. And yet, hope she looks after her condition in her musical endeavors.
Sohyang did her best, despite the fact that Sohyang's neck condition was at its worst due to various schedules.
