The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a fantasy action-adventure game set in an expansive environment. The player controls series protagonist Link from a third-person perspective in a three-dimensional world.
Can’t believe the 3DS version came 13 years after the N64 version. Because next year, it’s 13 years since the 3DS version. I feel so old now😅
Same man
Hence why they need to release some shit for the switch and not just crappy emulator and totk

LITERALLY!
You have to lie, Barry!
I told him to stop lying 🤦♂️
The 3Ds version was the first one that I played and conquered. I was 9 when I played it 20 years old and i still love this game I’m currently playing it on the expansion pass on the switch still love it despite the n64 graphics
Kinda creepy because I’m the exact same age as you, played it when you did, and am playing it on the switch rn too 💀. Crazy how life works
@@harperelliott1209 damn nice👊
Damn I was like nine when I got it but my uncle somehow broke my 3ds and said he was gonna fix it but just took oot but I got me another copy and it's very fun
@@Chris-bz2rf yup I have an uncle who actually got me into the whole zelda series man I miss the old days

@@rulasmania I never beat Ocarina of time on the gamecube but i spent a loooonnnnng time working on it. I think I completed 4/5 of the temples. I was real young but that cemented my love of RPGs
MM lowkey better imo cuz of the potential ts had as a game
First game I remember playing at 5 years old (27 now). Can’t even count how many times I’ve beaten it. Best game ever
I'm 29 and first time I played it was when I was 5 years old too when it came out.
Wow
IT'S MORE THAN A GAME FOR ME, NO FOR EVERYONE WHO PLAYED IT ONCE
I could never beat this on the N64 growing up, then I finally beat it on my 3DS in my early 20s and I literally teared at the ending
The game came out when I was 14 and now I’m nearly 39. I loved Zelda and so was mega hyped for the game, maybe more hyped than any game before or since. I took the day off school to buy it and it ultimately became my favourite game of all time. It’s probably the most good a game has ever been relative to the time it came out.
You are so lucky to be able to play this gem for the first time, hope you have fun and happy new year.
I actually just bought a 3DS XL Tri Force edition and I'm currently playing thru Ocarina of Time for the first time! I guess it's not entirely my first time since I did play a emulated version of Ocarina but I didn't stick with it long.
I never owned a N64 as a 90's kid so I never got to play Ocarina of Time or Majoras Mask so I'm excited I finally get experience these games!
Bro i bought the same one also around that time
youve never beat a zelda game? well ocarina of time is a good place to start
I've only played botw and totk, been wanting to get into oot, wind waker, twilight etc. Not sure if I should play oot on the 3ds or the N64 rerelease on switch.
@@ahmeda47923ds oot
@@ahmeda47923DS version imo, for the water temple specifically
@@ahmeda4792exactly the same, did you play any yet ?
@@ahmeda4792from what I heard, the rerelease on the switch was terribly ported, idk if it still has issues. Imo, the 3ds version is more convenient.
Had a blast beating this one but haven't beaten the 64 version. The wiki and tutorial vids are your friend
HOWD YOU BEAT THIS BUT DIDNT BEAT IT ON THE 64? ITS LITERALLY THE SAME GAME WITH ADDED IN CONTENT...
if you have a computer ship of harkinian is an amazing port that adds so much i can’t even begin to describe it. i would 1000% recommend looking into that if you’re a first time player if ocarina.
and that was the game that got me hooked into video games and retro games
It took me eight years to finish this game. I got it when I was seven and I finished it when I was about 15 honestly one of the best gaming experience I’ve ever had in my life you know just a very poetic game.
This was my first Zelda Game 😍
I finished it at least 3 times and it's a masterpiece!!
I actually recently found a video on YT, where they explain how to play the N64 version on PC, with mods that makes more similar to 3DS graphics. I connected my Switch joy-cons (using a program) and it's so cool to re-live those emotions 😆
Ocarina of Time is the first one I beat, and I have multiple times now. It's such a good game, and still is my favorite zelda game! I would like to try the 3ds one sometime too. Anyway, I'm glad you're playing it!
I remember playing this game at school sneakily under the desk when I was done with tasks back in 2011. Good times.
Just beat this game last week after finishing link between worlds. Im a huge zelda fan now, next is oracle of ages
I just started a playthrough of it this morning and I’m already on the water temple. It’s genuinely one of the best games of all time.
Outdated? Are you kidding? Zelda N64 is an eternal legend kid and you're not ready for this conversation. 👍

I have the original, GC, and 3DS versions, and I'll admit that after playing the 3DS version, it's difficult to go back to the original. My only gripe with the 3DS version is the brightness to it, as it ruins some parts of it for me, such as the Bongo Bongo and Ganon battles! Apart from that, the game is gorgeous! However,I can't share my love of this port for MM 3D since Nintendo and Grecco went out of their way to utterly butcher the game! I feel if they just gave the game a facelift and minor tweaks like OOT 3D, it would have been just as good!
I literally just started playing it again so much nostalgia dude and I did beat it all the way in 2017-18
I was scared of the well in 96, going back for it now as I have never beat it. THE MUSIC IS THE GOAT
Haven't played this version but I got to give love to the og n64 version. Something about the nostalgic feeling of playing the same console and game that I played when I was a little kid. I go hard with my gaming and still have every og console I played as a kid.
“Lie - berry”
Little beans and whatnot have you. The
Delicious lie berries.
I gotta thank the gamestop employee back in 2011. i had just gotten a 3ds, I was 10. He said to my Mom “Just so you know there is a new legend of Zelda game coming out for it if you wanna pre order.” I said yes, I had played OOT way as a kid on the n64 with my cousins but the game got lost. I didn’t know it was Oot until my mom picked up the pre order. I spent all summer 2011 playing the game haha, good times. Wish I could go back and experience the game brand new again. :(
Look up ship of harkanian that is best available port if your eyes are too used to high refresh rates
interesting
Yea, but it still has those outdated graphics, and those hd texture packs don't help either.
Ok but it doesn’t cover what he specifically mentions in the video which is the outdated graphics which personally I can’t do the 64 graphics of oot either links eyes make him look like a crack head 😂
@@Dakayto yeah but because its a pc port its viable to mod so a ton of complete model overworks are in production. Imagine better those HD texture packs overlaid on complex 3d models rather than the simple polygonal walls
They're currently adding a 3ds models for all npcs and terrain, but closest we got rn is texture packs and SSBM Link model w items overhaul
I’m currently playing and trying to beat this game before my summer ends
Still, remember playing it on my old desktop like HP laptop Man i fell in love with this game so much. I couldn’t afford any Nintendo devices at that time back in Nepal but now I am a student currently living in Australia I did not think twice about getting an OLED switch and it's my ultimate Zelda machine, currently playing TOTK. Though I never get to complete Ocarina of Time I want to complete it from the beginning one day. Best Game ever
Nice
Oot on 3ds was the game that got me into Zelda, game on homie that game is so fire
I’ve beaten this game growing up and it is the reason why I am playing video games to this day
Did bro just say library
He’s gotta get outa here right now-
This was one of my first Zelda games I had ever played.I got it for Christmas when I was in second grade when it first came out And I have over 900 hours on the game
The best one to start is Link between Worlds cuz it's easy.
Helluva experience playing it with 3d mode on so beautiful just like playing using hologram.
My first time playing 3ds and get addicted using 3d on
I'm playing the PC port rn and It's an absolute blast!
The 3Ds version is the first zelda game I played, so it has a very special place in my heart... oot forever !!!
first experience with this game when i was 4 years old. didn't even know english yet atp but i was hooked.
I haven’t beaten it, but I just got Biggoron’s sword today, so needless to say I’m having fun with it
As a young kid I never beat OoT, MM, or Windwaker 😭😢. So I’m whipping out the Nintendo 64 and going to try to beat Occarina and Majora’s mask without using internet to cheat. Really want to play Windwaker again never beat it though I played it a lot.
@@wattsnottaken1 Same here dude I just recently beat OoT last year and Wind Waker recently, had them as a kid but always got stuck lmfao. Windwaker was the first game I got for the GC when I was 7. I need to beat MM now since I was always lost in that game as well hahaha
@@wattsnottaken1Majoras mask is better than oot in my unpopular opinion however oots dungeons and story are incredible in order to really play Majora’s Mask you have to 100% it’s very side quest heavy but that’s what makes it fun
I've played Ocarina of time and Majora's mask in 2023...on the n64 version
ew
@@Matthewpatelismysugardaddy tbh n64 version is better than 3ds version
@@Matthewpatelismysugardaddyew? Man N64 is still great, original and the Switch variant.
@@mariothegenius They’re both the same game just enjoy it
It's crazy because when it came out on this N64 I really didn't like the graphics I thought it looked outdated to me but on the 3DS it looks great
I've beaten windwaker with a guide book when I was 9 and it was a lot of fun.i wish I beaten ocarina of time but I'm going to be at both this winter 😅
Dam this nostalgia brings back memories I want to play it again but at the same time not cus I just want it to stay as a good memory in my head as it sits right now
I tried playing through this game on Switch Online but it was just too outdated with the controls for me to really be able to enjoy it, but at the same time my 3DS is broken and 3DS’s are way to expensive right now 😅
Yea I had a lil cousin that spilt apple juice on my 3Ds system 3Ds are crazy expensive
Yeah my 3ds is broken too but I don't have the right screwdriver
That's because the game was made with the 64 controller in mind the targeting System worked great on the original controller because of the Z trigger being under your thumb and your quick items being on the C buttons that being mapped to the right stick feels off
Never have beaten in the 64 as a kid but playing the GameCube version of it managed to pass it
Beaten it many times, and beat Majora’s Mask once. Then I lost my 3Ds for a couple years and figured I wouldn’t need it anymore but then my parents rediscovered it and gave it to me literally yesterday. Still in good condition and I can replay both OoT and MM :DD
I beat that exact game in kindergarten, I would play it for hours and hours. I didn’t even know about the N64 at the time, because I wasn’t born until over a decade later.
I was born in 2010, my first game I completed was OoT, on the original 64. Still have the cartridge for it. I figured out how to run open emus for this game, I love this game to death
That’s how a fan will speak I feel you Zelda is not my favorite game but the saga but especially Oot have something on my heart that makes me love the game more and more was the first Zelda I play and I am not shame that I buy it cause that game worth more than what most games now days have
got it today for my 2ds so will try it hoping i enjoy :)
As much as I love the original the 3DS remake is just so much smoother and easier and it looks a lot better. I hope it gets remade again for the switch.
Just so you know is not a remake is remastered but everyone call it remake cause it look better but is the same game same places nothing change just controls grafics they just fix what was wrong
I Play this Game First time on my 3ds now. After BOTW… iam 37 years old.
Its my first 3ds and i have a Switch Lite to.
otherwise I play on PlayStation 5 and high end pc. But for now I'm sticking with the 3Ds. because the games are so much fun. finished Luigi's mansion 1 and now it's off to the world of Zelda with Ocarina of time
3DS version isn't a port, its a remake from the ground up.
When I was a kid I beat Ocarina of time, Majoras mask, and a link between worlds so many times. I wish I still had my 3ds
Recently played through the n64 ocarina of time on my oled tv, yeah wasn’t the best graphics obviously but playing in original hardware just felt awesome
Fucking with the aspect ratio really made the game look great on my flat-screen, would've been awesome if there was a way to make it run wide-screen natively without hacks
@@MrFusionthe PC Port does native wide-screen.
My dad beat that game when he was growing up
I played the 3ds version last year actually it was a great for me to get into the regular format of Zelda instead of the open world breath of the wild
I’ve been playing this too. It’s awesome on the 3ds!😊
I’m playing it right now on the Steam Deck after OOT Majora’s Mask❤❤
This was how I beat OOT for the first time in 2016.
Lie berry.
Homeboy should be reading books instead of playing games.
Fr dog
It was my first 3ds game and first Zelda game
I still play it to this day
this is actually the first and only zelda game i ever beat, and yes on the 3ds
Current playing through it! Am at the fire temple rn
Oot was my first and i liked it so much that i now have a zelda tattoo!
LiBRARY. There are no berries.
There's actually people who say libarry instead of library
Best game of all time
Your god damn right 😅
Classic I still got my zelda collection on my gamecube. I want to get the ocarina of time on the 3ds.
I had all the 3ds Zelda games, the remakes for the 3ds are amazing tho nothing like it
i never played it before but i remember my mom always telling us this is the game she used to play when she was pregnant.
This game looks amazing if you can get it running on pc upscaled + texture pack 🤤highly recommend
I beat the og N64 version as a little kid/early teens and then I beat the game again and 💯% it on my 3ds when I was in my late teens and I'll probably do it all again if it gets reremade like the 3ds version. To say I love this game is an understatement, oh and good luck with the Forst Temple and Water Temple people tend to drop the game cause they kept getting lost so they never really experience the Masterpiece of OoT late game mechanics and dungeons.
I beat it growing up
take them socks off son
Last played that game in 2018 😭 i’ve refused to use that save slot just because i don’t want to loose that date
I've never played any Zelda games but I'm interested. Always have been but I always grew up in a sony home. The only Nintendo consoles I owned were the handheld. Never owned a Nintendo console until the switch and even then... It's just the switch lite.
Yeah, I remember playing this when I was younger
Have fun bro. 👍
I beat ocarina of time 3d, it was pretty fun I had a great time, enjoy playing

I got scared at the end as a kids the ghost down the well where just to much for me to handle , gave me nightmares 😂😅
Your in for a crazy story yo

OOT with a Gameplay I think I would call it an original legend of Zelda story
Son, you best beat that game.

Just started playing this game yesterday
Same, just got the time and want to experience these classic legends of the gaming industry.
Bro just play ship of harkinian. Full PC port with twin stick modern camera controls. Modern button mapping. Built in randomiser, and customisation options for everything
I was just playing it! I stopped playing, opened up TH-cam and saw this 😂

Bro the best version to 100% is the 3ds verison I played both n64. Verison my first consel was the n64 so when i got this game again i was going to cry bwcause how happy i was to play my first game again
I remember back in elementary school we had a field trip day to our local library and it was only my class cuz my teacher was specifically an english teacher we didnt have period classes but we did switch to the class next to ours because there was a door that opened to the other class so we only switched for 30 mins and learned another subject in my case science but if we managed to say library correctly we'd go but even though he would threaten us to not go we still went but he would tell us to learn how to say it right
