Der Central Collecting Point in München, 1945-1949 (Kurzfilm 1)

1945 richtete die amerikanische Militärregierung im ehemaligen Verwaltungsbau der NSDAP am Königsplatz in München den Central Collecting Point (CCP) ein. Die wichtigste Aufgabe dieser Kunstsammelstelle war die Rückführung der im Zweiten Weltkrieg durch das nationalsozialistische Regime im In- und Ausland entwendeten Raubkunst an die rechtmäßigen Eigentümer.
Iris Lauterbach vom Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte berichtet über die politisch heikle und bürokratisch penible Arbeit am Central Collecting Point, die Zeit der „Re-Education“ und die Gründung des Zentralinstituts für Kunstgeschichte.
In June 1945 the American Office of Military Government installed the Central Art Collecting Point in the former National Socialist Party buildings on Königsplatz in Munich. The most important task of this art collection point was to restitute cultural property looted by the National Socialist regime during the Second World War to its rightful owners.
