  • As a homeowner, I choose to mow my own lawn. For the first three years I used a hand-me-down lawnmower, but it rusted out so much that I had to buy a new one! The model I bought is the Toro Recycler 22 in. smart stow (Model # 20339) with the variable speed front wheel drive.
    I decided to have a little fun and make an undressing and first touches video! I also start it up and mow some grass...you know...typical stuff...

    Hey man I just want to say thank you for making the video humorous and easy to understand. My dad and I bought one of these last winter and we were going to lauch her on her maiden voyage in the spring. But dad decided it was time to pass away before this great event. We just bought one of these mowers. I thought about my back when it came time to get it out of the box, so I cut both sides of the end panel of the box so it folded down to the ground and I rolled the mower out on its wheels. Easy enough - zero lifting. Putting it together was just as easy. The high rear wheels really make a difference - don't even need to use the front-wheel drive function. It starts on the first pull and is miserly with gas. All in all, a good mower, IMO. Thanks for the review. Cheers.

    We bought ours over 10 years ago and it runs like a champ if you do basic maintenance. I call bs on the "no oil change.." Every spring I sharpen and balance the blade, check air filter, clean the under carriage of cake on grass and change the oil which Btw the old oil is nothing but sludge. The machine starts on one pull and purrs like a kitten. I cut the grass every week for the whole growing season and this Toro is really a good machine just dont scalp the lawn or cut wet grass as it will bog it down.

    I picked one of these up yesterday..... was just gonna look, but tractor supply had it knocked down to $259!!!!
    Sold!
    Got her all set up out of the box, and it smoked when I first started it(I thought maybe that’s just a new engine?) Ran it about one minute, started to see little oil coming out of the muffler. At this point I shut it down and double checked the instructions, figuring maybe I missed something. The only thing I did not do was check the oil level after I filled it, which I really did not think was necessary.
    So I went back outside checked the oil level, which was fine, wiped the oil splatters of the deck, fired it up again, no smoke ,no oil, mowed the entire yard without incident.
    Has anyone else had this experience?
    Really loved the personal pace, got a really nice cut. And the all-wheel-drive made it considerably easier than my old rear wheel drive mower. My yard is about 70% hill.

    TIP for anyone who bought the newer 2020 model of this mower: Do yourself a favor and register your mower. When you do, you can check a box to indicate you want the (FREE) rear discharge chute. Just bought one several things I don’t love how you have to adjust the weels one by one them it’s front drive rather have self prepel with the back weels over all I do like it but wished it wasn’t fwd and the weels adjustment one by one sucks !

    I had a craftsman lawn mower which rusted out, reliable machine lasted 14 years time to buy a new mower, I purchased the same model as the one in this video, wow I'm quite impressed with the power never had a self propelled one like this.

    I dont like the new stuff it looks cheeply made rather use the older style mowers last a little lonnger like my 1999 yardman rear wheel drive with a commercial style briggs lasted a long ass time nothing went wrong with it the only i had to replace was the filter and blade

    • @LowkeyLawnCare
      @LowkeyLawnCare  4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have the non easy store version of it. Had it for about 3 months and I love it. It's fast, starts up most of the time on one pull, only complaint I have is the handle bar is a littel low for me. I'm 6 foot but overall it's a great mower.

    • @LowkeyLawnCare
      @LowkeyLawnCare  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I can see how that could be the case. I have mine at the highest handlebar setting and sometimes it feels even a bit low for me (5' 6").
