Biomass is a really nice idea, while i was rp in a small settlement (which is a fan faction) and the guards saw the biomass rper. He would start to yell and asking all the people to get their mask on. That was a truly immersive experience.
The fact that there is a "call of the void" (in which one has an unexpected urge to jump from a high place) for mutants with the Biomass is terrifying, I'm assuming it means that you'll *feel* its presence and be attracted to it, and the fact that you have to *CONSCIOUSLY* fight back the urge implies that this is not just a "I could just.. jump" feeling it'd would be like fighting somewhat feral urges to NOT go towards Biomass, scary! and possibly great for conflict in roleplay! I just wish they made that slightly clearer so that more people would know it, cause with it being just a little thing tagged on at the end It just feels likely it'll be overlooked :p
I've been subbed to you for a while but I hadn't noticed you played so many bangers such as zomboid and starbound. Thanks for the guide narration I was too lazy to read it when it came out.
lol I think I made the starbound videos when I was 9 but I’m glad you enjoyed them. I live zomboid though, I had a video idea in the works where I compare zomboid to Thoreau but that’s a megaproject so it’s still in the early stages. Thanks for being a mushreem vet!
I love taking muh game with "all new lore" and then adding back old lore but making it more OP and just really obnoxious to deal with! Also, good video me like :D
about the highlighted comment, ATF wintertide is (i think) the only game to be set in a different universe, all the other games occur in the same universe
also, for a short time there was a plague that was like or was the bubonic plague in Alumni, I feel like this could have been used in a way that takes place of biomass making it much more interesting and better than just re-using content already there.. it doesn't really expand on the story and serves as just fan service ngl, it is getting the story moving though so :steam_happy:
@@theshrimpofhottakes I wouldn’t call it JUST fan service. The ATF8 universe needed a better universal threat than standard eldritch. You can hear my reasons on the ATF retrospective video.
@@mushreemman obviously there's more than just fan service, i find it interesting and it does progress the storyline. but the problem is and this is a issue across several other games not exclusive to atf but it doesn't invite something new. it just makes it feel like a polished over, changed faction and more aggressive form of atf7, and yeah i do agree SPS and Biomass became a universal threat to everyone, they wouldn't achieve the same effect with the bubonic plague
uhhh... not really? The unity was much more organized and had a super genuius figurehead, being the Master. Also the disease didn't spread through normal means, FEV spread through dipping people in vats of goo.
@@mushreemman The plot is of mutants believing they are inherently superior to humans, and are from a military base. They even were gaining the trust of the local populace as well.

This might actually bring me back to the game after 3 years
A urge to make a Biomass cult that hostile against everyone is getting bigger inside me...
So basically Southpoint? lol
South point but religious
Wow biomass came back after 107 years and became 2x stronger and scarier, lets wait for bargetown to become crateview 2.0

I like the rivalry that eldies and biomass eldies can have now, its the same sides on 2 different coins, they are related somewhat but not entirely.
nahh bro not the biomass event music. world class
i finally get to experience an infection in after the flash yippy
Its nice to listen to your videos in the background while I work on things, it would be kinda cool if you made a podcast
