i know this video is quite old but i still wanted to share my tips to maybe newer players since you probably are good at this by now:
the reason why you failed so many times is most likely because you used 3 wing flaps before flying away meaning you didn't travel enough distance and you dodged too soon/late to the side, allowing the krill to hit you
Instead of using 3 wing flaps, just use 1-2 max and then toggle your flight mode and use up most or all of your wing flaps on getting as far away as possible and when the krill finally strikes and is starting to get close (about halfway there), start to dodge to the left/right and you should be okay as long as you won't dodge INTO the said krill
and there's a second way to krill dodge, for that you need about 10 wing flaps, you just need to use them all up and fly in a straight line and even if the krill hits you, you won't take any sort of damage
i recommend krill dodging to the side if you don't have many flaps left/are in a pretty big place and krill dodging by dropping their aggro by flying too far away in narrow places, hope this helps! :)
I remember when I started playing and thought it was a peaceful game of collecting stars- the first time I saw a krill I tried to jump on it to see if I could ride it☠️

I think it's because in the beginning you're basically hyper vigilant about everything, when you start to feel like you've got it you start making reckless mistakes. It's the valley you get into right after you stop being a complete beginner at something because you feel too secure in your skills.

I love it when I'm in wasteland and I happen to spot sky kids krill dodging. It's truly the best thing ever!!! I just take a seat, eat my popcorn and enjoy the show! 💀🍿

I'm horrible at krill dodging, so the fact that you even avoided the krill at all is amazing. Those suckers are good at hitting their targets.

@@moygcc2980 Tip: As soon as you here the roar from the krill, turn (doesn’t matter what turn) You should dodge!
You need to boost at least twice while spinning. Only start spinning after the roar.
And you need about medium- long distance. I have done it from a very close distance before but only a handful of times.

krill dodging is my favorite part of this game tbh. the key is: have a lot of flight and start spinning one direction once you hear a roar. they are like a bull. once they roar they will charge and not change directions. the only reason its hard to do this sometimes is because they are so big LOL
Weird stuff I just did earlier when facing the krill for the quest. Was on land so I just ran away and I thought it will leave me alone until I realized there's no way to hide. Even forgot to use my table kek.
Just as it tried to eat me, I flew a split second before its face hit me and I just got thrown away lol. I never saw anyone in YT do that kind of krill dodging.
Tgc deprive our tricks to escape loosing stars and now we learn how to dodge krills. Anything for not escaping krills how it's intended.
Today was the Day I decided to try the art of krill dodging. I brought some friends for moral support and oh did we have fun! I really didn’t care about losing my stars because they’re temporary and you could always get them back. I had a lot of fun attempting to krill Dodge.
For anyone skeptical just bring some friends and have a good laugh. And maybe you’ll know a new skill for when you need it…
Advice:
When the Krill notices you, turn your back to it. Use one or two flaps, then as soon as you're in the air, activate gliding mode and do a barrel rolls up everytime you use a wing to get higher up. Try to distance yourself as much as possible during this step, and keep at least 2 flaps. Wait until the roar, when the Krill starts getting closer do barrel rolls on one side while using the flaps you saved up; avoid doing barrel rolls that would get you closer to the Krill.
By the way, avoid flying over a Krill's head, even behind; you might need to Krill dodge less.

Hm with you bouncing off the krill harmlessly I think there is a specific hit box that activates the event of losing wings. Though I’m not very sure. Also you start dodging as soon as you hear it call you were waiting a smidge too long :)

@@Onewithlight Well it’s been months since I deleted sky ( it’s because my phone is too weak to run the game anymore ) I’m still hoping it still works but the only thing I do to krill block is to fly in a straight direction. Even if you get hit...

You've gotta fly in the direction the krills looking at, and when it calls swipe REALLY fast
The game changer for me was to flap once or twice more after changing directions. It gets you nicely out of the way
I guess krills have certain hitboxes, which is why sometimes you only get yeeted, and not depleted?
Just fly straight you’ll get yeeted not depleted

@@m_pennanti I'm pretty sure when my friend and I were getting the crab call spirit people were doing it (intentional or not) but i could swear they saved us many times

I dont even need to spin to run away from em, I just instantly went straight ahead while keep boosting. Theres a chance the krill lost track of us with this trick. And if you are lucky enough tjat you run to the path you want to go(example: you are in Graveyard wanted to go to last area), you can use the krill as a boost... ofc the cons is, you run out of Boost quick. And if you are unlucky, you lose wl when krill hit you.
I’ve done that before, but I think spinning is a much more reliable option
@@m_pennanti yeah is it. Using Spin trick reduces the amount of boost you use and is a life saver if you react on krills too slow.

Oi, to avoid totally losing the level, you can close then re-open the app, and your winged light will still be there, still being the same level you started, and then you can go ahead to then keep trying

Welp, I remember that I was about to pass through the gate in the battlefield and a Krill spot me, so I run and run and... The krill and up buried itself and he didn't got me :v
I was sad cuz the potion turned me from an ikejou to a cute chibi but ever since I dodged krill 3 times a roll thanks to the small size, I don't feel bad anymore xD
