For anyone actually interested in doing this swap, Im here to say it is easier than it may seem. I ST swapped my fiesta sedan. I wound up swapping everything over. Dash, harnesses, engine, etc. Doing it that way, everything was plug and play essentially. Alot fo physical work, but not fabrication required.
@@AlexCruz-dn9kq i cant see why you wouldnt be able too, however keep in mind that I had a donor car for my swap. I swapped all the eletrical harnesses and modules from the ST into my sedan. If you want to swap JUST the motor, it may be complicated to get the ST engine to pair electrically to the rest of the car. It wont be plug and play, at the very minimum youd need to get the instrument cluster reprogrammed to recognize ST engine module for the antitheift immobolizer system to allow you to start the engine. There may be other electrical differences aswell.

Ford dual clutch don't take 30 seconds to shift. I got a Mexican 2014 Ecosport driven from Dallas to Puerto Vallarta, Dallas Chicago, Dallas El Paso many many times no issues. I also have 2014 fiesta se no issues..
ST commands 20k plus and the S model with blown motor 2K. Buy a ST engine & gearbox (who cares about the aesthetics it's about going fast!) drop into the S model with big turbo and E85 fuel system. 11sec sleeper for under 10k. Yeah that's why it makes sense 😃👌
@@joshuamorganii7694 I investigated this a couple of months ago. Nothing's impossible but the most practical way to achieve ST performance in a base model is by finding a complete ST wreck and transferring all of it over. This has been done by a Fiesta specialist in Brisbane
The only reason why I'd swap is to save money on insurance lol. Plus, it'd be a pretty cool sleeper. And if I put all that work into it I'd probably never sell it either so getting my money back on the swap wouldn't be a big deal.
There are more people with automatics who want the power of the ST but don't want a manual transmission... Ford now offers a new model called ST Line which looks just as sporty as the ST it just needs the Turbo with it's automatic transmission. A real question is can you convert a naturally aspirated 1.6 to a 1.6 EcoBoost???? If so make that video, layout the build, the parts list, and the total upgrade cost.

Swap the engine in the SE for a 1.6 Ecoboost, on the ST engine remove the transmission. Much easier and less consuming than worrying about forging the naturally aspirated 1.6.
so far from the research i've done I'm 90% certain the ST ib6 and axles will slap right on the S/SE. my plan is to install the woosh 4.3 final and lsd, then slap that on the SE. the 1.6 ti-vct is actually a really good engine to daily and even with the stock gearbox it isn't horrible, but it really could use both tighter gear ratios and a lower final drive. this should be very rewarding with the suspension bits on my list. I simply do not want another turbo car for a daily as I already have a fbo fxt swapped 02 wrx with a 4.44 final drive.
@@JonnyBarajas so the standard engine is 120 hp, and the se hatchback is 123 and it said thats because there's a turbo in there. I was wondering if that means you can fit better turbos in there or if I can only do air intakes and exhaust upgrades for more horsepower and performance
@@thellord9360 You might be thinking about the 3-cylinder turbo. Air intake and exhaust will get you a combined max hp of +15 if that. the Mk7 ST with the 1.6L 4 cylinder has a tiny turbo making 196hp. A GTX2860r gen 2 with supporting mods got me to 400whp.

This is literally impossible. Btw you can’t flash a base model fiesta to even accept the motor. It would retard the timing if it even started.

I didn't have this issue, but on most cars the traction control is handles by the abs system, so it could be something going on there.
I have a 13 S sedan and put ST logos on the front and back just for fun. Got me an extra 5 HP or so LOL
