      Hi I am looking
      for a E-scooter foldable , dual motors, 40 inches long, under $1000 or a single motor as long as it can climb hills. I live in Harlem NYC where we have some deep hill but not like San-Francisco. I would use your links if you can help me. My head is hurting looking at videos. I need it 40" long to fit in my car.

    The unagi model one doesn't suit me because of it's range. Sometimes I skip a bus transfer and just scoot to my destination instead. I can't do that on an 8 mile battery and expect to make it home.

    • @ScottXiong
      @ScottXiong 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@carrickdubya4765 Nope, just once during initial setup.
      You can also cheat it, keeping it stationary, like I did.
      Fold the scooter, with the rear wheel raised off the ground, then roll the rear wheel to initiate push-start, and then press-down-and-hold throttle.
      With the scooter folded, it is easier to reach/spin the rear wheel with one hand, and push the throttle down at the same time with the other hand because they are in close proximity, I just raised my foot, keeping my heel on the ground, below the deck near the rear wheel to keep the rear wheel above ground.
      When it reaches top speed, and isn't in e-save mode (28 km/h with KQi2), you're done.

      @@ScottXiong Trying to picture that but okay.
      So I will look at the max but really want something faster closer to 40mph to keep up with regular/busy traffic if the need arises.
      The MAX does 23.6mph but is still too slow for my 30mph neighborhood streets and too fast for sidewalk

  • @Sunny8888
    @Sunny8888 2 ปีที่แล้ว +27

    Good choice for the top 5.
    The improvements on the TurboAnt are a plus but the original X7 Pro was pretty good to begin with.
    The only complaint I had with mine was that I had to add Slime to the inner tubes . . .. They didn't come pretreated like on a Segway Ninebot Max.
    Also I think the position of the valve on the front wheel, at an angle, is awkward. I noticed that after I added the Slime I would occasionally get a "ticking" noise from the valve cap hitting the fork on each rotation.
    It's not a big deal, and it didn't do it when it was new out of the box.
    That said I find that pressing the valve closer to the rim will create enough clearance for the interference (ticking noise) to go away.

      @carrickdubya4765 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Maybe for a smaller and svelte person but for a Big Dawg the Unagi looks puny. Also the online pricing is tricky and they charge extra for features it's supposed to come with as a rental. So I'll keep utilizing the friends and family program and borrow cars when I need to get around and run errands.

      @@carrickdubya4765 And not only that what you wrote about Unagi being uncomfortable for big people but I also found it uncomfortable being a puny small guy at 5"1 with it's rear solid tyre making good ride quality at paved tarmac roads.
      But the solid tyre making noise especially noticeable at night riding. And don't even get me started on bumpy roads and uneven surface where tiny hills like surface appears or road being uneven.
      Then you can feel the wheels shaking the whole scooter this is the part many reviewers don't review or don't go around riding on uneven roads. They all make videos riding on good paved road not the bad roads with uneven surfaces. And it doesn't even have a proper suspension for the price it is asking.
      And the lack of proper disc or drum brakes makes this scooter quite dangerous when you stop urgently while trying to cross the road when a car speedingly goes straight at your path or decides to make a left or right turn.
      And the lack luster range does not justify the high pricqe it is asking for. This scooter is either aimed at hipster trying to be cool or some rich people like it is aimed at!

    Nice video. Definitely very informative. I recently went with the Turboant M10 @ ←$400, and as a new scooter owner, I enjoy it very much. ~19mph, air fill tires, lightweight, portable, and simple.
    Definitely wish it had more perks and range , but for someone starting off definitely recommend it for less then $400.

    Got my Kqi3 pro for $550, the build and ride quality is really good! App setup is mandatory, but it is not THAT annoying since it is a one time thing for about 3 mins. The real cons is the push start system. Even a slight press on accelerator before you push would stop you from starting the scooter. Need some time to get used to it.

    • @alan5245
      @alan5245 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@linnicole588 Yea I know it’s a safety feature, just wish there is a way to disable it. Or even let you press the button first, then push the scooter, that would make it easier to start. Currently, you really have to start pushing, then press the button to start which is a bit annoying.
