❤❤❤Out of all the minimalist channels I’ve watched, yours is by far the most relatable to me. Your approach is attainable for any of us and it makes this journey a lot less overwhelming. I love that you have a “regular” life and a “regular” home. It makes me feel like if you can do it then I can do it. I’ve been watching your past videos as I go through the decluttering process to keep the momentum going. I dropped off 4 bags of clothing and a full carload of donations at Goodwill on Saturday and I’m just getting started. It feels so good to be getting my home back to the relaxing and comforting place it should be. Thank you so very much for the ongoing motivation. It’s truly changing my life for the better…honestly😊
Thank you so much!! That is so sweet and means a lot to me ❤️ I try my best to be as honest as possible because I truly believe, as you said, if I can do it anyone can and it makes a world of difference ❤️❤️
There were two things I saved from decluttering when I became really sad as I packed them: a doll and a leather jacket that I no longer wear. They both remind me of happy times.
Thanks so much for sharing your experiences with us ❤️❤️
I agree, we have to check with ourselves and delay the decision if we are not ready. It’s ok. We will do what we need to do when time comes. Everyone has a different story❤
Love that! Everyone has a different story ❤️❤️❤️
I once “decluttered” my first baby doll. It was a vintage Vogue baby. And I had saved it well into my 30’s. It was only about 10 inches long, and wasn’t taking up much space. But in a fit of decluttering, before an out-of-State move, into the bag it went.
It’s one of the only things I’ve ever really regretted getting rid of.
Thanks so much for sharing that with us ❤️❤️ I wish you all the best!
♥ Ugh, I recently gave in and bought a massive pack of Lysol wipes from Costco and I hate them because they shed and leave lint all over. The one area that is hard for me to declutter is linens. Junk towels always end up coming in handy. For example, our kitchen sink recently had a leak so I was glad to have some older towels around to deal with that. Old fitted sheets have been great to protect our fabric sofas from shedding animals and old flat sheets are great to use as drop cloths for painting instead of plastic. I even have some old comforters around for sleepovers or to line the truck bed if we're moving furniture.
I did a big use it up challenge at the start of 2023. There was some shampoo that I tried as body wash but it was too drying so I used it to clean the shower. If all else fails, any liquid soap can be used to scrub the toilet! Pretty much the only secondary use for conditioner or lotion is as a shaving cream (since I don't use fabric softener in the wash) but I have downgraded some expensive face products to moisturize my hands with good results.
We do have a few extra smaller blankets we use all around the house when it’s cold so I definitely understand that! Linens can be so helpful! For me I just figured out I don’t buy or move furniture very often so to keep extra linens just to move things doesn’t make since for me, but when we do we use our few extra blankets and so I feel like they get a lot of use in our house also we use the blankets as couch covers for the dogs and just wash them
What works well is to set a limit on extra towels and sheets. Keep a few and the rest you can donate to your local animal shelter.
Yes, same here Libraries and most optometrists will take glasses. Check the closest optometrists office.
Great idea! Thanks for sharing ❤️❤️
I'm in the process of decluttering my flat at the moment 😊💕
Love it!!
❤Some great ideas! Still decluttering, slow process.
Thanks so much!!
I love that you made this video because many people say they had no regret. Who does a huge project and ends up with NO regret?!
I bought the earrings you were on the fence about because I saw them in your video- they are SO cute! Keep wearing!
Thanks so much for sharing! And it’s so true! Who does a huge projects and never regrets or reflects back on anything
You can use shampoo or conditioner in place of shaving cream too, it works well! Loved this video!
Great idea! ❤️❤️
I decluttered my attic yesterday and feel like a weight has been lifted. Another great video from you ❤
That’s amazing 👏👏
❤️❤️im in the process of decluttering right now....
That’s amazing 🤩 keep it up ❤️❤️
My daughter wasn't interested in my wedding dress, so I donated it. I saved my lace wedding gloves, as she said she might want to wear them or use the lace for a bouquet stem wrap. It felt good to know someone else will use it.
Love this!! ❤️❤️❤️
♥️❤ My husband hates when I want to declutter his tools 😂. But he started hoarding those mini Allen wrench screwdrivers that came with every furniture piece that requires assembly.. he was up to about 20. Then I saw some minimalism video where they literally threw away all those “extra” pieces like screws, Allen wrenches, etc (that will only fit that special item you already put together and will never be needed again) and it made me motivated to so the same. My husband was holding on to it for “someday” but that day never came and we have not missed it. He just has one bag of tools 🧰 now which is great. However we need to get him an electric drill and your husband’s nice drill set is motivating me to buy him one 😂
Hahaha I told my husband Jordan he needs to start a TH-cam channel showing his tools and how he builds furniture hahah
@@minimalease yes! That would be awesome!
♥️you got a laundry rack for your birthday😀I’d be so not happy about it😅
I asked for it 😍 one of the only things I could think of I needed hahah
My house is very declutterred except for my husband’s office, he just won’t do it . I just close the door so I don’t see it
😂 I can relate to that
I can relate to this so much! I can’t declutter my husbands tool area or his wood pile 🤣 every once in a while he will do it and I’m so grateful for that! Haha
Only two places in my house that aren't decluttered are the office and entertainment unit lol guess who's in charge of that. 😅 we will tackle soon
❤️

Just beginning to watch this video, and have to say i disagree , sorta, on your two first points 😅 because some people may never get rid of the anxiety if they dont push themselves out of the comfortzone. I really think that sometimes its better to just close the eyes and put everything in the bin.
Secondly, I actually decluttered alot of literal trash like ruined plastic bags and broken things from my parents place when they where on vacation, with my brother, alongside alot of our own old shit (our mother had picked out of the trash)… she was mad for the first month. And we did say sorry we did it without asking, BUT on the good side she has thanked us for doing it later on, AND it did start a process in her- and shes got rid of alot. No longer keeping literal trash ( iknow your view, my view ect is different BUT… you cannot tell me old ketchop bottles that are sawed in half are anything but trash) the line is there somewhere. 😂😂
Thanks so much for sharing your experiences! My mom one time decluttered my grandfathers room (it was a huge mess mostly papers all over the floor) after she decluttered it he was furious and very mad at my mom for about 3-5 months, but he moved on and my grandma was grateful. It’s hard to know what’s right in those situations or how people will react. ❤️❤️❤️
I demand your husband to make a video about orginizing his toold and his garage))) Looks neat
Hahaha I’ll ask him 😍
I have hoarding tendencies and a lot of times throwing things away makes me anxious. I hate it! I used to be super organized and decisive. Does anyone know of a supplement that helped them?
I don’t know of a supplement, but for me I became less anxious about getting rid of things over time and I kept pushing myself slowly out of my comfort zone and now I find decluttering relaxing ❤️ of course if you are having anxiety I’d also talk to your doctor or a therapist who can help you work through it ❤️❤️ good luck my friend
If you don't have any paper towels, what do you use to clean up vomit or other bodily fluids from pets or humans?
Rags/towels if it’s gross I’ll Clorox them after. It’s how my mom always cleaned things before paper towels really became a thing so I was always used to it ❤️❤️
Paper towels are by far worth the money because they’re far more hygienic!! It’s not a saving to use cloth, then use tons of water to get the vomit etc etc off of them then to disinfect them then wash them then dry them….. NO!!!! Paper towels are one of the best most hygienic things ever invented!!!!
I keep paper towels on hand to wipe pans that have grease in them. My house is old and the pipes are not going to handle any grease going down the drain. I wipe it out and throw away the paper towel. Most other things I uses rag and toss in the washer.
I keep a pretty paper towel holder with paper towels in my bathroom for guests to dry their hands. I have an autoimmune disease and am immunocompromised. Plus I'm 69. Paper towels are more sanitary and easier for me.
Wow you are amazingly beautiful
Aww thanks 😊
