💗 I have been in my minimalism journey for a few years now so even though I have simplified and decluttered quite a lot of my possessions,I still need to do more ! It's a never-ending journey
I know what you mean about leaving without anything. I did that at this whole sale store the other day and was hoping the cashier’s didn’t look at me crazy. Then I said who cares what they think they aren’t paying for it.
I think they just want us too shop online and don't get me wrong I do. However, I like the in person experience that the store gives me. However, I can not buy nothing if I know not going to eventually use it. Also, most people shop for right now purposes, and I never been that type of shopper🤭😍
I am the same way. I had to give up my cotsco membership because I would find other things to buy. I am better off just staying home. I read, walk and declutter. I can not go into stores or else I always spend
No matter how much I "tried" to declutter my kitchen.. it felt odd. I have such a big family that gathers on occasional weekends. And I notice I need the extra mugs, cups, plates bowls knives.... but everywhere else in my home, the laundry is always the one that is crazy difficult
That’s how my mom and MIL feels too and I totally get that ❤️ if you want to live day to day with less you could try taking some out of the main kitchen cabinets and keep the extra in a spare closet ❤️
My “why” is the same. I want to feel peace in my home, not the anxiety I currently feel each time I walk through the door and see the clutter and paper piles on the kitchen island. That’s the big problem with open floor plans…you can see everything lol. You’re so right about “just start.” I’ve started in my master bathroom since it seems like the least overwhelming. I’ve decluttered over 50 items just from the drawers and cabinets. I’ve also started decluttering my clothing. I struggled with deciding if I should try to sell things on eBay and poshmark, but, like you, I just need the items out of my house. Too bad because I have a lot of Free People clothing items and lots of stuff brand new with tags, but for my own mental health at the moment I just need to donate it. I’m at peace with the fact that others can use it. Also, a win for me today…I returned items to Target and left without buying anything😊❤️
Awww that is such an amazing feeling!! Leaving target with nothing or just what you came in for has to be one of the greatest feelings of achievement especially for someone like me that used to be a shopaholic hahah Love this so much!!
@minimalease You made so many great points and issues that I am struggling with to NOT collect more clutter after decluttering. When I purchase items now, I feel guilty and overwhelmed about where to put it. I enjoy my space and not adding more. I am giving myself a waiting period before making purchases, which is helping. I truly don't want to deal with unnecessary items. That alone tells me that I probably don't need it. Purchase should be positive not negative. This is a complex journey, but less truly makes me feel better and happier.
I want to thank you, Becky, for your recommendation on the blue shampoo bar. I wanted to try them, but I have a lot of hair and I just couldn’t picture bar working for me. But you have a lot of hair too and so I gave it a try and I love it. I wonder how many shampoos this bar will last through?
OMG...Yes!!! I was the same way, whenever I would walk into a store. I just HAD to buy something, whether or not I really wanted or needed it, just to satisfy that urge to buy something. As of about 2 months, I am no longer this way, which is a big ordeal for me because I, like you, had a major shopping problem. I used to shop for fun, as a hobby. I wasn't satisfied unless I was buying more stuff. Now, I've changed my whole mindset on the matter and I can actually walk into a store and come out with nothing. It's way more of a satisfying feeling to me. I'm still in the decluttering process and I have been for years, but that's because I'd purge a lot of stuff, then turn around and buy more. It was a neverending cycle for me. I'm finally making progress and I'm seeing it in my house. It is the best feeling ever! Thank you for all the videos you make. You are so inspiring to me. It makes me want to keep on moving forward and not give up, knowing there are other folks out there, like me. ❤
Hi! I like to listen and watch your videos but it is some background noise (click click) that interrupted so much. If you would check on that I would appreciate 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I used to buy pens, not because I needed them but I liked something about them. Now I am stuck with so many pens, I will never use them. I don't want to throw them away. People I have asked don't want them. Does anyone have any ideas how I can get rid of all this pens?
If you know any teachers or school front office staff they always need pens at least I did when I taught hahah if they work you can also bundle them together and donate them I’ve seen them at our goodwill before and I thought that was a nice idea to get a bunch of pens really cheap when you need them
@@minimalease Good Ideas! I don't know any teachers or anyone who work at any schools but I will take them to the office. I'll put them in a big baggy (yes, I have that many) and save them since schools are already out for summer vacation. Thank you!
Uuh I have so many things in my kitchen that I would be so happy about if they combusted (I would declutter but other family members don't want to get rid of them until they break). 🫠
I get it! It took a lot of convincing on some things in the kitchen in order for them to go, but I am the main cook in the house so I have more say over what comes in ❤️
I just can't believe how much owning less makes life so much better. I can never go back.
Just to add: your car number plate was shown, for safety reasons please blur it out, you never know.
Thanks for sharing ❤️
@@minimalease No worries! ❤❤
