Lovely Skyline, it's a very nice example, and the purple looks very cool. The sound that the triple carbed L motors make is do die for as well. The rear panel appears to be a Kouki one, with some modification (removed reverse lamps and de-coloured lenses from the look of it), and I suspect the Datsun badges are aftermarket, as the Japanese C210's had Skyline badges (export 210's though said Datsun GT like this one).
If I was stuck indoors all day I'd watch videos, read, and sleep like I always do, and have a drink or two... Nice car, and that's an interesting paint color.
I want this car in this color. Love that grill Lately when i've been stuck indoors i've been playing video games or working on my Skyline. What's funny is I didn't like these until I saw you posting about them. You and this guy converted me. Just need one with a L28ET now lol.
What gorgeous specimen that skyline! I did the same on the tail lights of my 81 celica and it looks so much prettier that way. Nothing a good steady hand and spray can can't do. Keep at it Daniel! Can't wait to see what's up next! Peace!
Very nice car, years ago Renee and I very nearly bought one of those Skyline Coupes before finally buying the GTO, a mate bought the Skyline. On wet miserable days I like to try and work on my kitset models or waste time on my laptop watching videos on You Tube.
Great video as usual. Another stunning skyline loved the color and the mods done to this one. QOTD: I would just watch some TV and catch up on my sleep.
Whoa love it. Best C211 i've ever seen. And that bucket seat suits the car so well! What i'd do when i am stuck in my house for a day is hunt on the internet for a Datsun 240K GT. Looking on YAJ for car parts and chat with friends
Being locked up inside, I would sit behind my iMac, looking for car stuff (especially HONDA) on TH-cam, going through the good ol' Facebook and eventually watching a good movie from the 80's or so. :)
Very very nice! I do like both the old and the new look. The chrome is much more kyusha kai, while the new look is what I think a repainted original panel with his white washed tail lights. Very beautiful! QOTD: I would probably have a million things to go through, sort and throw away stuff. Both digitally (photos, videos) and IRL. About ello: didn't hear about it but I applied for an invitation. So hopefully the'll invite me. :D
This car was sold in the UK as the Datsun 240KGT and I think that is where the badges originated, though how the badges got to Japan is a mystery. A neighbour had one, new in the early 80s, bronze, automatic which I drove a few times. It was very much a boulevard cruiser, no sports car. The previous version was also sold in the UK, again only in hardtop form.
My dad's in the UK on passenger side rear it said Datsun GT on the drivers side rear it said Skyline GT , in the UK it was the Datsun Skyline 240KGT . Skyline at the rear under the boot above the registration plate , on the bottom of the boot lid on the right a tiny Skyline badge the Skyline S on the steering wheel and on the front grill. In the UK they had all round electric windows as I use to get the blame If either of the rear windows dropped off it's runner old man would say you've been playing with the windows lol. It had washers on the headlights and a rear window wash/wipe. My dad ordered his in May- June time it took just over 10 weeks from ordering it to collecting it at midnight.on the 1st of August it was just over £6000 in 79 or 80 . At 4 or 5 months and rust was showing on the chrome bumpers & the Datsun dealer Sandal motors said it must have been on an open deck and was from the sea air coming over in the ship from Japan . I can even remember the registration ACP 340V. When he went to see about part ex it for another Skyline he was told they were no longer been imported to the UK he said I'll never buy another Datsun/Nissan until they do. He sold it too a mate and bought a demonstrator Y reg 323i BMW.
I do manage to get out a little bit saturday and sunday, but if I was home all day I would be watching youtube and checking facebook. This can take much of the day so I would throw a few naps in there, and I do a hangout with Sara every evening.
What a beautiful car. I wonder if it ever smells of lavender on the inside. I hope it does. What would I do though? Play some racing games such as Gran Turismo 6 or need for speed because sport got delayed for all the right reasons and I'd cook some mad food.
I'm a fan of purple and that looks surprisingly fitting on that gen Skyline. QOTD: Locked up indoors....Hmmmmmm.....I think I'd be watching the rest of Initial D Stage 5, never seemed to get back to that series.
Is that the stock color? It reminds me of my fav color, used on 1965 Chevy Impalas called "Evening Orchid". My fav indoor activity, watching WasabiCars videos of course! LOL (hopefully scored some points). I usually work on my model trains, model cars and I do watch videos on TH-cam on a rainy day off.
So good video mate ! Then l an inside of my house. l play Gran Turismo 6. Yesterday l Drift old Nissan Skyline from 1962 too 1973 On the race track Tsukuba ;-)
Sweet car, the color is unique though the Datsun badge confuses me. As for the QOTD I would watch your videos or cooking videos, then maybe play some video games or watch TV. Not much to do indoors, especially since it's raining in California but it's nice to watch the rain.
on days that i'm locked up.. I watch wasabi cars!!! Daniel i have a question. What is the nicest, most natural looking area of Japan? And also where is there the most car culture? I'd love to live in Japan one day!
QOTD reply: Stuck inside all day. I would play Gran Turismo. Organize stuff around the house maybe clean up my tools in the garage. Build a Tamiya kit. Watch a movies.
love the ebay, bit of a shame to see the dual tip muffler replaced by the N2 style though. maybe in Japan it hasn't picked up the stigma it has here. as a Canadian I can't say I ever stress about spending the day indoors, temperatures outside can get to -30 for days on end during the winter months so anyone who prefers not to go mad is best served figuring out at least a few things they can do indoors for extended periods

It's clear that the owner loves this car and that's really matters, but it's not for me. Which hurts because I really love those cars. I actually had one back in the day. They were known as 240k gt over here (ireland) and one was my first 'big league' cars lol. Rusty as hell and painted a funky black and purple two tone. Mine had that GT badge but had rectangular taillights and a factory rear wiper. (sold it for a super clean 160j sss) Anyway I would have it dead stock. It looks like the owner is somewhat going for the look of a racing 1972 510 with the light delete grille, carbs and racing seat. Even the wheels are a nod to the earlier racers. Don't get me wrong. I'm not hating. I just like stock or resto mod.
I thought it was a datsun from the get go . I know for awhile when nissan first bought datsun some datsuns where badged as datsun and even some nissans where badged datsun . THAT MAY BE ONE OF THE MOST SPECIAL SKYLINES you will ever film if it is from that transition period because it may be one of the only Datsun skylines in the world that is a true deal . Would love to know if that is what the case turns out to be . Indoor activities. Well of course kranking up the surround sound and a good Godzilla or. Action movie, driving my wife up the wall, and of course playing Grand Tourismo games ... have a collection of skylines by the way :-) Be safe in the storm .

I didn't mean it like that. I meant, we need MORE videos of cars like these not those stance videos we have tons of, like do a whole video of a whole meet.
Alexandre Guilbault He's only got a personal page. But, it you go the Wasabicars page and look for the post with this car in it, you'll see that someone posted a link there.
Listen I'll become a patrion but mr Daniel you'll have to find me a first generation Subaru Legacy turbo once you do this I'll give you anything you want within reason
That's what I was thinking. I guess I may refer JDM a little differently than the typical "tuner" thing that goes along with it. I see JDM as just any Japanese car like WasabiCars.
Nice car, But the color ( *for me* ) is kinda meh! I would probably just be on the computer all day... I'm actually pretty good at doing that (Unfortunately!)
That seat and those speakers

Baka San Sorry for getting to your comment so late. And, thanks for the info.
If I was stuck indoors all day I'd watch videos, read, and sleep like I always do, and have a drink or two... Nice car, and that's an interesting paint color.
fehquig Sounds good to me.
I like the subtle side mirror relocation to the guards.
rm6330 Yeah, very cool. I think the brand is Albert.
That is really nice and unique! That color purple is very nice. If I was stuck indoors all day I guess I would spend it working on my Gundam kits :)
datto240z The model sections of hobby shops have been taken over by them here. Hardly any cars.
I want this car in this color. Love that grill
Lately when i've been stuck indoors i've been playing video games or working on my Skyline.
What's funny is I didn't like these until I saw you posting about them. You and this guy converted me. Just need one with a L28ET now lol.
It had Series 1 C210 tail light panels, with aftermaket blacked out lenses. It now has Series 2 C211 gray tail light panels with the same lenses.
hamcheesesalami Thanks for the info, man. :)
real clean, what i did all day indoors is checking videos, blog, comic and video games. i rarely watch news :(
Fancy Neko No news is good news. What they call news nowadays is is a pile of shite.
WasabiCars exactly. the only news i want to hear is which road is clear for me to go anywhere
70's and 80's Nissans are way, way better than the drab, boring Nissans of today. Love this upload. Thank you!
TEDdotcom I agree, of course. ;-)
What gorgeous specimen that skyline!
I did the same on the tail lights of my 81 celica and it looks so much prettier that way.
Nothing a good steady hand and spray can can't do.
Keep at it Daniel!
Can't wait to see what's up next!
Peace!
Mario Jose Gonzalez Thanks, Mario. :)
That bucket seat is RAD!
Great looking car.
***** Thanks
Very nice car, years ago Renee and I very nearly bought one of those Skyline Coupes before finally buying the GTO, a mate bought the Skyline.
On wet miserable days I like to try and work on my kitset models or waste time on my laptop watching videos on You Tube.
madpetrolhead Given the choice, I'd have gone the GTO, too. ;-)
originally in japan they came out with the circular tail lights
Great coverage in this one Danny Bwoy.
Great video as usual. Another stunning skyline loved the color and the mods done to this one.
QOTD: I would just watch some TV and catch up on my sleep.
ThatAverageCarGuy Lol. I had to say goodbye to those freedoms once I got married & had kids.
Very nice car. Good editing too. I would be here watching TH-cam video's / podcasts etc. Hope your all safe.
DirtMcGirt BBJ Thanks. Didn't turn out to be so bad actually. I could've done with the excitement.
Nice and clean. Looks like the owner has good taste. QOTD: I'd be stuck on my PS3 playing GT6 or FIFA15. Lol
01FozzyS You gamer, you.
Beautiful Skyline Dan! Thanks for sharing. Stuck indoors? Hmm let me think ahh yes of course - build 1/24 scale model cars of course! Hehe cheers!
GodZilla308 ;-)
Nice Skyline
C211 Skyline with C210 Tail lights and Grill and headlights
Datsun Nissan Car Club Of Queensland Inc. Cool. Thanks for the info.
Worked on a few of them , all had the 4 potter 1800 engine apart from one a 240 K GT which was on permanent hire to a bus driver .
bodgerd Cool
Whoa love it. Best C211 i've ever seen. And that bucket seat suits the car so well! What i'd do when i am stuck in my house for a day is hunt on the internet for a Datsun 240K GT. Looking on YAJ for car parts and chat with friends

Roy Brueren Sounds pretty good. :)
I often wonder about the suspension set up. Like is it a stock spring or some aftermarket stuff from decades ago...
This car is just brilliant! Thanks for the share.
Erick Thomas Thanks for watching. :)
In a storm I would sleep in and watch a couple movies. That's a nice car by the way it would be good to see some videos of it driving.
Hewitt Custom Millwork I'll keep an eye out for sure.
I would spend my day watching car videos
MrSlothymcsloth Cool.
Nice ! Different sometimes works well
Gecko True.
My jaw dropped. And now it hurts like hell. DAMN what a great car !!! A W E S O M E !

love this car, the colour is stunning, his friends have some tasty cars too :)
QOTD- i'd spend the day on the PS3 :)
great video dan.
funbus Sorry, I think I skipped through his friend's cars a little too quickly.
WasabiCars
no problem, i just paused the video to get a good look at them :)
I'm a fan of purple and that looks surprisingly fitting on that gen Skyline.
QOTD: Locked up indoors....Hmmmmmm.....I think I'd be watching the rest of Initial D Stage 5, never seemed to get back to that series.
Retr0taku Films Yeah, it looks like it should be that colour. :)
The ' before' tail light panel is C210, the 'after' one is C211. Both are aftermarket lenses.
Jason Lee Thanks Jason. :)
Less chrome the better.. She is beautiful :) and on a day like that I'd be watching WasabiCars on TH-cam :)

WikdSeafood You scored some points for sure. ;-) Don't know if it has a factory colour. I do know that it has been resprayed though.
What would i do if stuck in the house? Relive the old Wasabi cars videos moment
obviously!
netmatrix75 Noice!! :)
Beautiful looking car. :)
So good video mate !
Then l an inside of my house. l play Gran Turismo 6. Yesterday l Drift old Nissan Skyline from 1962 too 1973 On the race track Tsukuba ;-)

Normally not a fan of purple (unless its really dark) but that looks cool
NSXShockwave :)
I like this colour!!
Νεοκλής Παπαδόπουλος It sure is nice.
Sweet car, the color is unique though the Datsun badge confuses me. As for the QOTD I would watch your videos or cooking videos, then maybe play some video games or watch TV. Not much to do indoors, especially since it's raining in California but it's nice to watch the rain.
truemizou I wish we had California weather here. ;-)
Overseas it was sold at a Datsun 240K, it might have to do with that.
on days that i'm locked up.. I watch wasabi cars!!!
Daniel i have a question. What is the nicest, most natural looking area of Japan? And also where is there the most car culture? I'd love to live in Japan one day!
QOTD: I would watch some videos ( Wasabi Cars etc. ) or movies, laying on the couch ... could really need a whole day rest :/
The Sheepherd ;-)
Good Job👍
wow nice shape love the quad head lighs and wheels. do the trumpets on intake have filters?
JDMdrift toyota I didn't have a close look. That setup is pretty common here given their love of the 4 or 6 cyl engine. I shall look into it.
Sweet car! If I was stuck indoors, I would work on a plastic model ( Hint Hint) LOL.
Jonathan Milbury ;-)
QOTD reply: Stuck inside all day. I would play Gran Turismo. Organize stuff around the house maybe clean up my tools in the garage. Build a Tamiya kit. Watch a movies.
Roberto Buenrostro Sounds like a great day, Robert. :)
love the ebay, bit of a shame to see the dual tip muffler replaced by the N2 style though. maybe in Japan it hasn't picked up the stigma it has here.
as a Canadian I can't say I ever stress about spending the day indoors, temperatures outside can get to -30 for days on end during the winter months so anyone who prefers not to go mad is best served figuring out at least a few things they can do indoors for extended periods
modomofo Aftermarket parts trends are completely lost on me, I'm afraid. Yikes! Too cold in Canada for me to go there.
I would spend the day not locked up in my house but inside my car, getting sideways around country roads away from debris the typhoon might fling around.
looks Bamn pretty!
stiliqn007 ;-)
Rear huba were rusty now painted
Is it a L24 engine like in the 240z?
It's clear that the owner loves this car and that's really matters, but it's not for me. Which hurts because I really love those cars. I actually had one back in the day. They were known as 240k gt over here (ireland) and one was my first 'big league' cars lol. Rusty as hell and painted a funky black and purple two tone. Anyway I would have it dead stock. It looks like the owner is somewhat going for the look of a racing 1972 510 with the light delete grille, carbs and racing seat. Even the wheels are a nod to the earlier racers.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not hating. I just like stock or resto mod.
Gordy Hamilton Hey, thoughtful & reasoned opinions are always welcome. Thank you for
taking the time to explain. I need more subscribers like you.
Ooft! That's a modified car done right!
Lucas Scaife It's almost refreshing that it doesn't have over-fenders on it.
playing computer games or planning mods to my car (dreaming anyways lol)
I thought it was a datsun from the get go . I know for awhile when nissan first bought datsun some datsuns where badged as datsun and even some nissans where badged datsun . The car looks very much like a late 70s early 80s datsun ... Would love to know if that is what the case turns out to be .
Indoor activities. Well of course kranking up the surround sound and a good Godzilla or. Action movie, driving my wife up the wall, and of course playing Grand Tourismo games ... have a collection of skylines by the way :-)
Be safe in the storm .
peter sisco Thanks Peter. Yeah, the typhoon turned out to be nothing. :)
colour... no. the rest... SWEET!!! man, now I know why i like those cars so much, and if he left the factory steering wheel, he is the kind of people I like.
question of the day: well, I love old walkmans and I usually get broken ones, so I spend my time repairing them, changing belts, also, playing video games, I got stuck with the PS3 this year, but I used to get stuck with my old consoles, I miss warioware for Gameboy advance, I still have it, but I never play it. :'(
taunusv4power Yeah, the factory steering wheel is a nice touch. I used to have a 1972 Holden Sports steering wheel (probably a reproduction, but I loved it). Aftermarket ones almost never appeal to me. I used to have a super-cool Walkman too. (Not Sony, so not a real Walkman...) I got it in about 1989, it was slim and had tiny, solenoid buttons.
What a God damn beauty
Jason Pagan For sure.

Leeroy Jones I guess I see a few. I think Hakosukas would be much more common though.
Oh... I can answer this one yeah!!!
"I was beading :)"
Maiki Chen Lol. That IS a perfect indoor pursuit. :D
Not on that new network. And on days I stay I play World of Tanks or some sort of Video game. Maybe movies that sort of thing.
TRD83SupraDrifter Cool, and cool. :)

Sweet mother of jeebus, that's a pretty car.
I work from home so I am locked up inside every day.

Zachary Vigeant I did see some GT's. That's about it. I will keep an eye out, of course.
