Damn, the most Hakosuka's and Kenmeri's I've seen in one sitting. And Fairlady's too. But loved that City II Cabriolet! By far, your best video yet, Dan. Love it!
really cool video gives you a great sense of what the car culture is there. the styles the wheel choices the fender flares not too different from what we do here in the States. I noticed camber is not a big influence there like here. But I definitely see where we get a lot of our jdm style as far as wheel fitment. you have opened up a whole new world to me as far as Japanese vehicles. I hope to one day be able to purchase an somehow bring one of those classic beauties here for my driving enjoyment

The Skylines at 2:15 and 7:05 sound SO GOOD. Is it the S20 itself that gives that sound, or specific exhaust and cam choices that do it?

It certainly has been resprayed but I don't know the original colour. I'd say a very fresh resto. Also, the rear wheel arch lips are flat-topped on the original cars, but these have an actual arch. So, it has received body work.
Awesome vid. Kind of unusual though. I didn't know the japanese were so rowdy when leaving a meet. I thought they were always sensible until it was time to race. lol

57 VS 33 without paper and only counting the cars exiting. Yes this is quite different that your usual videos.
That also brings up the question whether you generally see more Nissans or Toyotas at car shows? And is there a difference in attitude of the owners?
+banpeinet Nissans dominate. They do at every car show I go too. (They even pop up at Toyota Celica events). I wouldn't say there is an attitude difference between owners. There is definitely an attitude difference between modified and unmodified car owners though. Zokusha owners tend to make noise which gets events cancelled the following year. There's a bit of tension.
Thanks! Nissan partycrashing a Toyota meeting would be shenanigans here. Most people will not mind, but some do and they will bring havoc on those Nissanians. ;)
The zokusha are more or less like the dirfters/stanced cars here: they make lots of noise and people complain about it. One of the biggest stance meetings here is quite successful though and they almost never get complaints: they simply organize the meeting on a Sunday in a mall parkinglot. Of course they do check with the shop owners of the mall first.

This video just made me appreciate the 280zx... I always seen the 2+2 that everybody agrees is ugly most of the time...and for me it was just a defigurated 280z... but the 2 seater version is not so bad... and they are actually way cheaper than a 280z
Occasionally I do see good-looking 2+2's. Some combination of wheels, wheel flares, ride height, body colour, etc... that makes it look good. I don't know the formula, but I know it when I see it
