Is there any way to combine versions from different platforms (For example Castlevania SOTN android and playstation)? Or is there some way to add an indication in the playstation version that the game is also in another platform? This could be useful to go directly to remasters/remakes instead of playing a little bit of the older ones and then discovering you have to restart.
How do you save games between multiple disc's, such as ps1? Retroarch saves a memory card per game I play, would like to know where to go to change the setting from per game mem card to one mem card for all games
After importing full rom sets there are plenty of region versions that I'm just not going to be interested in. One of the LB features I use the most is after I delete a game from LB I like it to ask me if I want to delete the rom from my drive as well. While this works great when roms are separated, how does it work when all regions are combined? If I only want the US and JP versions and want to delete the EU version will I need to separate them first to delete the EU one and then recombine the others?
Is there a way to delete the other versions of a game in launch box easily to create a 1g1r perfect set? If not can you guys please add this feature? Thanks
Ok but how to make all versions of the exact game visible? Let's say I have a Donkey Kong (arcade) and I wanted to be able to play all versions including modified (hacks) versions? I have a modified version of this game but it's not in any database and I don't know how to make it visible in LB (it is visible in MAME directly). I couldn't find the answer on LB forum.
During a MAME import, one of the options is to skip importing hacked games (by default that option is on). You would simply need to uncheck that if you are wanting hacks to be imported.
@@UnbrokenSoftwareLLC Are you talking about Import MAME arcade full set option or Import rom files option because the last one doesn't have such option? I wanted to add one (hacked) version of one game to my already imported rom set.
What with games with different names for different zones, like yakuza? Or Japanese names? Will they be merged in different versions? Or just the US/EU version that shares the name, and the JP in another entry?
When you select a version the options box is never wide enough, I have games that have several versions where the name doesn't differ till near the end which isn't shown in the narrow options box. Great feature but needs making wider or a tool tip added that shows the full game/version name
Better to just show all three of them and the version next to it. The rest is a useless hassle. Or just show the game once, and maybe hold L1,R1,R2 when starting the game to choose the specific version. It is faster and more convenient.
Cool vid, so I guess this was not a tutorial on m3u functionality, though I I guess it is related. Not a criticism, just an observation. You probably already made a m3u tutorial in the past.
You should just click on the multi disc or badges and more games shows up then click to pick. No need to right click and go to menu then more option. Too many unnecessary steps.
How about us free users that don't have badge support? Although tbh you are talking about replacing a click for a click, for a location not all of us have, in a place that a user wouldn't know to click unless they stumble upon it.
@@jakesmith5278 oh ok, because to me it sounded like you wanted it to be one click in the optional multi disc badge plus one click on the disc number, instead of one click on the game box plus one click on the disc number
While I can understand why you may want to watch this video. Not entirely sure why you commented on what seems to be a tutorial for new users to a product you do not use.
I didn't realize multiple versions/discs had badges. That's very useful.
Excellent. This software just keeps getting better and better.
I bought the lifetime license a view days ago and I'm just stunned about the awesome possibilities of LB/BB. Thank you!
YES!!!! Thanks!
Simple and clean. 👌

Are we able to launch the separate discs in BigBox when combined in this fashion?

Finally! I can combine all 1,644 rom hacks of Tecmo Super Bowl into one listing!
How are the badges accessed in Big Box mode with a controller?
How would you select the variation while in Big Box Mode?
The game details menu allows you to choose which version you would like to launch.

Does thus translate over into bigbox mode at all?
cool
how can see trailer game in details ??

Both ways have that option.
@@UnbrokenSoftwareLLC You're right, there is this screen with these options, i don't know how i missed it ;) Thank you! :)

If they don't merge automatically you can do it manually.
@@carlcouture1023 haha, that would be the problem, japanese names sometimes are really obscure, manually would mean I know what the heck the game is 😅

When I combine the three discs for Final Fantasy VII on PC and then export to android, does android also see it as one game?
LaunchBox for Android does have support for combining games in this fashion.

Ha to combine god of war with darksiders
We need launchbox on the steam deck. Emulation station is hot garbage in comparison
Nice, but I finally gave up on LB and went with Coin-ops/RetroFe. Not looking back!
Just curious, why did you switch and why is the other better?
While I can understand why you may want to watch this video. Not entirely sure why you commented on what seems to be a tutorial for new users to a product you do not use.
That's because you're OK with English, retrofe doesn't support Latin characters u_u
Booooooo
