I want to let you know these daily videos are just what I need to help me stay consistent with my budgeting goals. It’s like having a friend keep me accountable. Thanks!
Going on a Disney vaca in a few months. Thanks to you I put money away each month in a travel account (and will continue to do it) for the sole purpose of paying it toward a trip. At the same time I used the envelope method for spending which I turned into gift cards so that way I don't use a CC. I've already planned out tips as well and will bring spending cash just in case. This trip is already paid for. Yeah me!
This is super helpful. I like how easy you made it to categorize the vacation spending. I thought that I had to break down every purchase which got to be overwhelming. I also used my debit card. Great idea on using my credit card for security and for simplicity as I didn’t realize it does all the categorizing for me. I will do this on my next vacation. Great video as always!
I don't wish you or anyone to be in debt! However, I wish I could see one where you WAS in debt and how you did it every month, probably no different than you do now. I've been watching some older videos to see but....
I've been doing cash envelopes off and on but I always quit because I haven't been able to find a wallet that works well for it. I just purchased and received your wallet and I've started using it and it's an absolute game changer!
Great information, Miko! Thanks for taking so much time to show it all. Seeing things visually with these videos helps me learn so much better. Love the idea of printing and color coding your credit card transaction sheets. Do you keep these on file til next year? You prob don't need them after categories get recorded in the workbook, right? Congrats on being UNDER budget 🏅💚
How do you track the coins in your cash wallet? When you throw them in your jar, you're not writing it on your cash envelope? I presume the coins come from change from using cash out of the envelopes? But wouldn't that put your totals out on your cash envelope tracker? I hope that makes sense
Hi Miko I’ve been watching you for years. You have always gone on all cash vacations for years why now the switch to credit card only? I’m a bit surprised by this change.
I know you like to round. When you paid back Capital One, I would assume you rounded up in order to record it on your expense tracker. Hardly anything comes back even like that. Did you actually pay Capital One $2,400 and some change and keep whatever change left over for your vacation sinking fund?

Have fun! Great job planning ahead.
This is what I was waiting for. I'm glad you made a video of it. Now enjoy your beautiful holiday together.❤

That is how she started. If you go back maybe 3 years or more you should see those.
Thank you Miko x

How did you replenish your checking account cushion please

Do you wait till the bill generates (to show usage)? or did you just use the card, and got home and got the money ready and just paid it off?

How would that credit card expense look on you expense tracker in your planner? 🤔
In my planner, or in my workbook? (which I show in the video)
@@thebudgetmom yes in the bbp 🙈 its because you have different categories you spent on so Im curious how you will do that 🤔
What will you be doing with the remaining amount you didn't spend? Will this sinking fund just carry over for your next trip?
You budgeted 3,000 what happens to the 600 residual
I’m in az and I’m hesitant to visit the medieval times here, how is it? I’ve only ever been to the one in California
Are you not neevous about $34 for food for the remainder of the month? October 24-31 is a long time, right?
Full pantry and freezer.
I'm afraid to use a credit card.
