Love the setup with the bag and sponge holder. My Art Toolkit palette is one of my absolute favorite art supplies. I ended up with a different business card holder that didn't have a lip in the mixing area. I buy the GUM Soft-Picks dental picks. They come with a little plastic holder that is incredibly handy. I started attaching it to the lid of the other palette with a tiny clamp. Liked the way it divided my mixing space into two sections. I also use it with the Art Toolkit palette. I added a sticker as well as miminal contact info on the top of my palette. Helps me to know which side to open. Haven't done a lot of TH-cam lately. Your videos are ones that I've missed.
Thank you so much for the tips! I haven't tried the Gum Soft-Pick before. But now I am interested in seeing what the holder looks like. I really appreciate your comment. It is nice to know you enjoy watching my videos.
@@bettysweet9644 Hello Betty! This is the Towers Overlook at the Breaks Interstate Park. This part of the park is in the Breaks Virginia. The other side of the park is located in Kentucky. I'm not sure how far away the Smokies are, but it's probably 3 or 4 hours away. But if you do get the chance to come here you won't regret it. It's as beautiful as it is rugged. It is very isolated, but it is a hidden gem. I hope you have a great time painting the Smokies!
If I want to make a watercolor journal with good watercolor paper. I cut the paper to the size I want and then I sew the papers together. Sometimes I add a cover, sometimes I don't. For this one I created a hard cover with the back board of an old watercolor pad and covered it with pretty paper. I may make a video showing the process the next time I need to make another watercolor journal. Here is an old video where I made a watercolor journal without a hard cover. You can use the same process to make a journal or sketchbook in any size you want. th-cam.com/video/w9Cun1D1QUE/w-d-xo.html
Excellent demonstration of actual plein air use of your setup. Too many show n tells are made indoors, and do not show how hard or easy it is to have everything at hand, laying in your lap or too large to hold in one hand without spilling your water container.
Wonderful set-up. love the mixing tin with the blotting cloth.
Thank you S. Maskell! So happy you like the set-up!
Very calming video 🙂
I’m happy to hear you found this video calming! Thank you for watching!
Love your little plein air setup!
Thank you Jaclyn Cage! I'm glad you liked it! 🙂

Thank you Ginger! It was easy to carry and set up. That’s important to me.

How did you make your diy journal?
