My husband and I took our first vacation without the kids and we decided to go back to our love of Belize! We were in Caye Caulker for the first 3 days then traveled to San Pedro for the last 3 days! We can’t wait to come back with the kids next time 😉

Zoey Zone we are going in September for our 35th Anniversary. How did you like the hotel?
I thought it was perfect for the price and it was right on the water. Walking distance to bars and restaurants and just a quick golf cart ride to the shopping area. All that matters to us in belize hotels is AC, WiFi, and a fridge for our water 😆
Omg I went to that pupuseria in San Pedro. The lady is so nice and the food is delicious. She also makes lobster that is awsome. I fell in love with San Pedro and thinking of going again.
That is so awesome that you went there too!!!! We are actually heading back this summer and cannot wait to go back to get some more delicious pupusas.

Where did you guys stay and what are some things to do with kids with you
We stayed at the Ocean Tide Beach Resort and it was a perfect little place on the beach and wasn’t too expensive 😉 I wish we would’ve bought our kids with us on this trip because I think they would’ve had a blast! The “Truck Stop” has a pool for this kids to play along with corn hole and ping pong. They also show family movies out by the pool on certain nights. Secret Beach is another nice place for the kids to play and snorkel in the shallow and clear waters. I know mine would have also loved the golf cart rides through town to get around 😆
Nothing. It's boring. Stay away from Belize. High crime, tourist are being robbed and sometimes killed. I'm belizean I would never go to visit.

Sorry I just saw this. I think it was $150 USD for the 2 of us. The price definitely beat the 1.5 hr rough water taxi ride back to the city 😆

Do you absolutely have to get a golf cart, or can you choose to walk.
The island is pretty big and populated so if you are wanting to venture out like going to Truck Stop or Secret Beach you will need a golf cart 😉 if your hotel is in the town then you can definitely walk to bars and shops! There are also lots of “taxi” drivers that can take you where you want to go 👍🏼
Yes. Everyone is issued a golf car on entry to the island. It's the law.

Can anybody tell me the best ways to get from Belize city to San Ignacio? Also from san Ignacio to San Pedro! I’m having trouble researching it
Rent a car. Take a regular city bus from the bus terminal, or take a Maya Air plane (they should have regular flights).
Unfortunately we’ve only gone from Belize city to caye Caulker or San Pedro and have taken the water taxi or maya air or tropic air. Not sure if that helps any 🤷🏻♀️😉
Secret beach is a tourist attraction, they send you out there when you misbehave.

Did you feel safe while on vacation in Belize ?
Yes we absolutely feel safe and are actually going back this summer with our kids! 😁 we do however only stay on the islands of Caye Caulker or San Pedro because they are our favorite!
Corey Holmes. I stayed in San Pedro and also went to Caye Caulker. The islands are so chill . It's safe and you get to feel that island life experience. Renting a golf kart is the best because you get to explore the island of San Pedro and the views are beautiful. After my trip I can't stop listening to Madonnas LA ISLA BONITA cuz it takes me back to San Pedro 😍

The island of ambergris Kay is extremely safe. the people are so nice. We never spent any time on the main land of Belize. also you can jump around to other islands. Kay Cauker was fun. I cant wait to go back.
I was born in Belize. Its horrible, high crime, boring. San salvador, Costa Rica, mexico and even Guatemala is a much better place. Trust me. San pedro is just as bad as the so called belize city. Belize has become worse that Haiti.
