Thank you!!! I’ve been trying to figure out which one to get!
Any suggestions or preferences for lighting? Ring light or otherwise?

I used a 12" ring light for a long time and now have an Elgato key light. My main recommendation is to use soft box diffuser, especially for a ring light. They can make circle reflections in your eyes or on your glasses (if you wear them). I link to mine in my video descriptions, the diffuser is just $40 or so, not too expensive.

I've never heard of the Lark M2's before or considered a mic of this quality. I'm wondering how well they cut out background noise like mechanical keyboard sounds, pets, outdoor/road noise, etc... I don't work in a quiet studio and am often typing while in meetings etc.
I don't like using boom microphones as I find them cumbersome, get in the way and don't allow for head movement. I am currently using a gaming headset as the mic is close enough to my mouth to largely cut out background noise. Sound quality isn't great though but miles better than my old webcam which is terrible and picks up everything.
The Larks are much more expensive than what I'm used to but if It would save me from having to buy overpriced gaming headsets, it may be worth the investment.
How do you think the M2's would fair in this regard? Or the PowerDeWise if I were willing to put up with the cable?
Also, thank you for your videos. They are well done, clear and comprehensive!

Thank you. I've been impressed with the sound quality. I primarily use them indoors, so I haven't done any real outdoor testing. They do come with a dead cat wind cover and built in noise suppression software filtering. I'm usually not as fond of the digital noise suppression, because you can really hear it and I'd rather hear the wind a little bit tbh. Sound quality does rival some of the more established brands. I was able to make this mic match the sound signature of an $800 Sanken COS 11D wired lapel mic (it was my only option at the time for a talk track edit) and it's unnoticeable where I did it and I didn't EQ it either.

This may be a bit off topic. But can the Hollyland receiver be used with an iPhone 14 pro max with a headphone and charger combo adapter? Using a cage and it appears the lightning adapter the comes with this would stick out too far from the lightning port hitting or blocking the cage.

I'm sorry, I don't know that. There are options though, first inexpensive USB-C extenders that bend and add 3-4 inches. Also Hollyland makes a combo with a camera, Lightning and USB-C receiver, or you can just get the Lightning one.

I love the Hollyland lark M2 that I just purchased on Prime Day. It's one of the best purchases I've ever made, especially for the great price. The sound, imo is just so clean and natural and just sounds professional. The only thing I absolutely strongly dislike is the wind muff. It's so frustrating trying to put it in and then remembering where the actual mic is to speak into. I think they should have done better with that.

@@TheCosmicRealm3 are you holding it or clipping it near your collar?

@@DeployJeremy No, I'm talking about fitting the mic into the muff.

@@TheCosmicRealm3 gotcha. I haven't used it outdoors with the dead cat, but use it a lot inside. I'll try that.
