Took Keiths Advice today, printed off some business cards at the local office depot, and bought the exact tools he told me to. I was only able to canvas 6 stores today but got 2 out of the 6 stores to book a window cleaning with me!! Never despise small beginnings! I appreciate you Keith You're out here saving lives!!

I just graduated and brother i want to thank you. You were my Alex Hormozi before he took over the internet. I stopped my window cleaning business because i told myself i didnt have time i had school i had training i was busy. Your business and insite has been in the back of my mind for over 2 and a half years now. I forgot just how possible this all was. Im in texas and i burn easily so im about to suffer all summer, but i know itll be worth it. Once i can hire someone to get leads once i can hire someone for fulfilment once i fet that referral system set up its over. I know youre in landscaping now but i dont doubt youll get super successful. See you on the top, you've done me a great service by providing the information you do

I started out with a 10/12 inch brush and squeegee combo(Ettore Backflip), a blue bucket , a squirt bottle , some blue towels, and some flyers that I designed in 5 mins. $70 approx for everything. I did a bunch of stores and bought four more different sizes of squeegee and brushes plus poles and a step ladder. Made $300 doing a house. It’s been 4 years since I took off on my own and now I’m working two good house jobs per day and eventually will make it to forming a crew and being able to hire people since I’m only a one man crew

How to Start a Window Cleaning Business - My Success Story
I was flat BROKE and literally got my window cleaning business off the ground with less than $50.
My back was against the wall.
I was so desperate to pay my rent that I SOLD and BOOKED 42 biweekly and monthly recurring accounts in 48 hours.
Literally running door to door at local businesses with a stack of business cards and a smile.
    You can do this too.
    Oh yes it's scary....
    But...
    So is getting evicted. lol
Discover in this video that it doesn't take a rocket scientist to clean windows.
High profits with almost NO Overhead!
$20 for a Squeegee, Scrubber, Dawn Dish Soap and a Homer Bucket.
Once you get going, you can purchase a Water Fed Pole or "Reach & Wash" System. That's where it gets FUN
I purchased mine from Mike @
    Detroit Sponge in Wixom MI.
all the blue huck towels, surgical towels, microfiber towels and blue "booties" shoe covers you can get from www.DetroitSponge.com
Special Thanks to Dan & Scotty of

A lot of the other graphics I got cheap from Fiverr.com
    The music selections are from
    Sophonic Media.
Your can learn more about the window cleaning game through
    www.WindowCleaningResource.com
    #Windowcleaning #waterfedpole #wcr #squeegee #ettore
If I can do it, YOU can totally do it.
Finally, I'm humbly here to teach you the methods I learned
to end the suffering and start your own damn landscaping company.
    The Landscaping Employee Trap
Whether you dream of starting your own lawn care, snow removal or landscaping business. It's all a lot easier than you think.
You don't need $20,000, a big bank loan or 5 start credit.
All you need is a will to win.
With a basic understanding of even shrub trimming, tree service, horticulture, garden maintenance, arboriculture, flowers, botany, gardening or any of the above combined with a will to succeed it's all very possible.

I used to work for a guy who cleaned windows in my area, just a business not a company....he was a bit lazy and didn't want to work much, a retired guy. Now watching your video makes me think about what we could have been if he would have been a little more motivated to work. I was always ready to go early in the morning and always came to work ready to work but he didn't share the same enthusiasm. We were making probably...on a busy day...$300 to $400 a day. He was paying me 10 bucks an hour and most times never worked more than 30 to 35 hours a week. I really wish he would have shared the same attitude I had, I would be in a lot better place right now. He's doing fine...he owns the business....

Great way to do sills. I recently started using a hand-held steamer along with a small wet-vac to do sills. It gets in those hard to reach areas, takes about a minute or two, and fetches about $2 extra per window.

Keith, you are the man. I love watching your videos. You've given me inspiration to start my own business. What I like about your talks is that it's all 'Real Talk'. Even the 3am rants :) I think the thing that weighs on a lot of new contractors is just putting yourself out there and really facing your fears. That is the biggest obstacle and I think you address that in a lot of your videos and so I (and a lot of others I think) can really relate to that. Keep up the solid work man, I'll stay tuned into your channel. Cheers from Canada.

    Nice video.
I'm based in Perth Australia and have been doing window cleaning for 30 years. Over the last few years I have used internet advertising solely and completely dropped Yellow Pages and newspaper ads.A lot of the time I'll get a call from someone I attended a couple of years ago and they have googled me. I use a blog and a static one page web which I got a friend to set up once and am unable to alter. I am working on a video at the moment.
Your advice on customer care and attention to the small details is spot on and I really need to look into water fed pole systems.I've been lucky with ladder work so far.
I also clean screens with the applicator but I use a much soapier mix and then hose off and leave to dry. This is fine for the hot,dry environment I work in, was that snow I saw in your video?
Anyway back to advertising, a lot of work in window cleaning becomes regular so less and less advertising is needed, during our winter which is June/July in The Southern Hemisphere there are virtually no new calls yet I was paying for print advertising during these periods and during summer/Christmas periods which are mad I would be deluged with calls I had once again paid for but was unable to service, a lot of these callers were also asking for the free quote which everyone else on the page offers. I find internet callers are on the whole more serious about getting the work done.
Anyway thanks for the video. You gave me some new ideas.

The real thing window cleaners dont want you to know is that getting into Water fed pole can be cheap... I bought a 24ft Gardiner for $300.. and 4 gallon backpack hudson battery operated for $120.... I don't us any RO/DI tank.... I go to local water supplier and get Distilled water (0 TDS) for $0.27 a gallon in a 65 gallon tank. Fill up my backpack with that. Most jobs I use 10 gallons on and charge min $120... $2.70 in material. I only do exterior as an add on though for after a house wash. But for some window guys wanting to get into WFP it can be done cheaply. Sometimes if I dont want time I will go to Menards and buy distilled water for a job or two.

Hi Mr.Kalfas, just curious if you guys did window cleaning on plaza shops because where I live it doesn't rain much but when it does it seems that the overhang on the shops prevent the Windows from getting wet..so would you recommend talking the customers into getting their Windows cleaned during the winter months?

    • @keith-kalfas
      @keith-kalfas  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

+Greg Aaron Greg absolutely yes. Window cleaning is huge during the winter because there's salt film on the glass that needs to be cleaned.

    Hi Keith.
I am thinking about starting a window cleaning business and I have a question about business cards.
When you first started your business, you stated that you got customers by undercutting your more established competitors.
When you had your first business cards made for your window cleaning business, did you put your physical address on them?
I am semi-paranoid about angry undercutted competitors showing up at my house.
    Thanks for your help.

Like your screen cleaning method, I've done it that way for some time. I have however just started using a low pressure electric pressure washer with a rotating nozzle that I got for $50 on Craig's List. I've cut my screen cleaning time for an average job from one hour down to about 10 minutes.

That's my story too... My church buddy got about 30 store fronts and left em to do floor waxing.. He hit me up $350 you can have em all, he was down to 20 customers because he wasn't doing em anymore but I took over and all the cash I made, bought my carpet clean equipment, extensions poles, ladders and trailer etc... Next came phone book adds ( it was a different tyme ) After a while I didn't care about the store fronts I did em on my off days just to get customers for residential... Pass out my card right there on the street, put a card holder inside the store by the register. Althought I always did $10 a window for residential, I could do it for less but I told them it wouldn't be fair to me... No house has less than 10 windows, 2nd story usually has 20... Imna re-launch and start new where I live now and go the internet route too... Also carpet cleaning but the equipment costs have doubled but so has the quality tripled...Your very encouraging and remind me of a younger me ! God Bless You
