Another excellent video!! I get so excited seeing the natural habitat, locality differences, geology, and those great vistas! Thanks for posting amazing content! 👍👍💚

Oh I really enjoyed this one Hunter! I have a soft spot for agaves and mamms Thank you so much for sharing this experience with us, a very special location and I found so many aspects very intriguing. Please keep sharing more from this beautiful part of our world 🌵
One day you have to make a trip to the Succulent Karoo in Namaqualand southern Africa! So many unique species of succulents, about 15% of the world's total
Nice to see Greg Starr in habitat. I wish I knew what species of Neobuxbaumia that was. The spineless condition has surprised me, although towards the end of the video the damage shown looks like it's caused by burning exotic grass.
Greetings from Australia! Great video. Keep them coming for we that will never get there... Really interesting to see that orchid (Laelia or Encyclia??) growing in such a dry area. I presume is the opposite during the wet season. And the gypsum! oh the gypsum... Thanks. I look forward to the next!
Very interesting Hunter😊🙏Yes, why do the cacti grow biggest on the gypsum? Could it be that seed germinate very easily anywhere, but because the gypsum is difficult for any other plants do the cacti easily grow and can grow bigger? Anyway, please enlighten me on my idea🙏I enjoyed watching buddy🤘😊
I don’t know that the gypsum causes them to grow large, those columnar Cacti have that programming for tall, gross coded into the genetics. Take the Mammillaria that was growing there. For example, it was quite small, so I really don’t know it’s intriguing to say the least.
Don't like the taste of tequila and now I know why. Agave is related to the asparagus and I don't like asparagus. Thanks for helping figure it out 😜👍✌️
Your thumbnail says this is part 2, and your description says it is part 3. Which one is this Hunter? I can only find 2 videos in this series. Have you published all 3? LOVE your videos!!!
As a lunatic, you are not alone! Love your excitement and enthusiasm!
Whoever the stewards of this land are, I appreciate them much. We all could learn a great deal from them.

🎉🎉🎉 that section of Mammillaria is nuts 😮
Thanks man
Whatever those agave are called, they're fantastic. I love that hard-grown, habitat look - such a contrast to my UK grown greenhouse specimens 😆

Nice variation of plants growing there; I was hoping you can include the opuntia cacti on your vlogs as well.

Besides the dog, did you see any wildlife?
Yeah we saw a mongoose actually but couldn’t catch it on film. Fish in the river and so many different types of birds lizards spiders.
@@CactusQuest how awesome! I hope that dog belonged to someone.
@@christinaeilers3562 yeah it was the dog of one of the land owners but certainly wouldn't be the first time to find a stray deep in the wilderness
