Devastating song. I always find it interesting how sometimes the saddest lyrics are disguised with upbeat pop/punk melodies. You wouldn't really think of this song being so depressing until you read the lyrics.
These guys are one of the few bands currently doing solid yet catchy pop-rock / indie songs. I love how they take post-hardcore / punk / Sonic Youth elements and transform it into a very catchy song.
Is it just me or people don't seem to have understood this song? Maybe I didn't but from what I see it's not about breakup or relationships. The lyrics let it clear that the author is talking to himself, about his past and what he did in the past (when he was young), about part of his persona that was left in the past for new ideas but the memories are still "haunting" him because that doesn't define who he really is. So the video seems correct, young innocent girls doing drugs/drinking and playing with thing they don't understand just for the lulz, that might remember this in the future not too proudly.

In the end, the chorus "I'm not you you're a part of me" is as if they're saying it in a mirror accepting the fact that they aren't really this person having fun but it is merely a part of them just like a work personality or a social (media) personality (The phones flying with Dylan's face) they aren't really truly you, they're just parts of you and these parts of you eventually make you.
The director of this video(and all the other cloud nothings videos) really focuses on making weird videos. And i think this is his best work, ive never felt so uncomfortable watching a video, and this is before the demonic stuff. Like hearing such a perfect song played over a selfie filled video is as hilarious as creepy. Also seeing Dylan Baldi's head on a flying iphone is the greatest thing i can imagine. 10/10

At least that's what I got from it, it's just represented through black "demon" eyes and illuminati symbols, which is kind of the same type of symbolism if you think about it.
