  • The Polish state disappeared from the map after the third partition of the Commonwealth, but this is not where the story ends. Follow me as we delve into the Polish view of Napoleon, occupation, and WW1.

I apologize if the audio in this video is a little off. I tried to fix it, but since this was recorded on 2 different microphones and Premiere Pro was acting strange. Anyways, thanks for watching. New content will be out ASAP.

The spoken audio is not the problem; it's the seriously intrusive piano music. There's no reason to have the volume up so high relative to what people actually want to listen to.

Hey, I was recommend your channel by @Artur M. and, from one small history TH-camr to another, really have to appreciate the work you put into your videos - we've actually got a two-parter on the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth too! Anyway, just subscribed and looking forward to what comes next on your channel.

A very good video about a topic that is certainly not covered enough. Thank you!
I especially liked the part about the November Uprising, although it was also the part where I noticed a mistake. The Uprising was started by the young officers and kadets in Warsaw, not by the students of the Wilno University. Wilno (Vilnius in Lithuanian) was the old capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. It was not within the borders of the Congress Kingdom of Poland but the city with its University reminded a major center of Polish culture. Persecution of student associations (which weren't even that revolutionary) by the Russian authorities occurred there in 1823, causing outrage in the Congress Kingdom, and was a major part of the rising tension leading to the November Uprising (I guess that the source you were using probably mentioned it in the same same paragraph or something, not clarifying it enough).
I'm sorry for dwelling that much on this one inaccuracy. As I said, this is a very good video overall. Of course it's just an introduction barely scratching the surface. Hopefully it will get some people interested in the topic.

The two left hands at 4:36 give me a really creepy vibe. Whatever they're doing, it's probably nefarious.

In your next video, should talk about the Polish soldiers that were stuck in Siberia during the Russian civil much like the famous Czechoslovak legion.

The Germans have always treated Polish people as lesser. And I continue to treat us as lesser. That's why Poland will never give up. Because the people surrounding us historically have always felt they needed to conquer us or control us
