    Hi.. is homogenizer a must? Can i use overhead stirrer instead?

    • @theinstituteofpersonalcare6401
      @theinstituteofpersonalcare6401  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you do need the homogeniser for the Sucrathix otherwise it won't work/stabilise the formula.

      @theinstituteofpersonalcare6401  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      PVC does not get used in make up; PVA may be used but may not be used also as there are many film formers out there. You would have to check individual ingredient lists to see if the particular product you are using contains this material. Many do not, and do not need to.

    very interesting recipe! can we replace the cellulose with carbomer? another question is if this cream needs a larger quantity of preservative, taking into consideration that sucragel contains sucrose and it is more exposed to bacterial contamination?

      We have a series of workshops coming out soon, so keep an eye out. In the meantime, our first workshop on preservatives has been released, you can find out more here. What about the stability of this cream? Can that be stable for one year? I made oil gel using sucragel and it separated after few days!!!! That was frustrating!

    • @theinstituteofpersonalcare6401
      @theinstituteofpersonalcare6401  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Dana you should get 3 years out of this formula. With the sucragel, if it separated that fast it wasn't mixed properly. Sucragel formulas, when prepared properly, will last 3 years also. There are a few ways to broaden your searches for raw materials:
      • Visit our global suppliers page: createcosmeticformulas.com/IngredientSuppliers/cosmeticingredientsuppliers-897/
      • Join our Cosmetic Raw Materials for Small Brands facebook group: facebook.com/groups/1734896293290235/ here you can split packs with others to access materials from large suppliers
      When you are a student with us, you also get access to our raw material database, which has 1000’s of raw material details in it, along with supplier details - so you can access this info, get in touch with suppliers and ask for samples (they will provide our students samples) and/or seek minimum pack sizes (or consider purchasing and splitting packs on the Small Brands facebook group above).
