I used to play the violin and cello in high school. I kick myself I did not continue after High school. This was my father's favorite hymn, he past last March and I wished I would have continue with music.
Great ,I can now play this song so wonderfully thanks to your awesome tutoring ,God bless you so very much and hope to see you resume online classes on TH-cam
You rock. I am getting into third position, but I want simple things I can practice to get cozy with third. Scales are good up to a point, but who wants to play scales endlessly? :). I like having some third position material in this piece, which I know well. I sure wish I saw more videos from you!
Thank you so much for this tutorial!!! I am absolutely in love with this hymn, as well as your teaching style!!! Your tutorials have really helped me with my 4th finger, my intonation, and my playing overall....you are a true gem!!! :) Please keep them coming!!!
Wow! Thank you! It's so nice to be appreciated! Even better that you are having such success via my tutorials! Congrats and thank you very much for your lovely comments!
PS: wouldn't another option be to finish the piece in 3rd position? Instead of shifting back down to the F#, couldn't you do that in third position with 3 and 4 on the A string?
