Ideas behind the questions, What is your greatest strength and what is your greatest weakness? #lawenforcement #police #policejob #interview #interviewquestions
With the agency I want to work with, the hiring process is about to be completed for my third time through; each time has been a learning experience. They commented that I didn't sell myself well the last time, a few months ago. They also said that throughout the oral questions, I came off as standoffish and defensive A candidate packet that consisted of six handwritten essay questions was also assigned as part of the pre-hiring process. The oral board based some questions on answers I gave in the packet and some of the questions you have covered in other videos. I've been viewing your videos, and I think they'll be helpful for me in getting the job. Thank you for making them!
Your funny and special talent to say it’s a good thing after three interviews and something else that caught my attention was referring to your candidate packet that consisted of six handwritten essay questions I agree with all of it and found your defense to proceed forward after many attempts! Good job and congrats on so far so good luck
Thank you for the great info that you're putting out. I just discovered your channel and have been binge watching your videos. I recently discovered that volunteer policing is a thing - I'd always heard of volunteer firefighting - and am about to start a part-time academy with the hopes of becoming a reserve deputy at my local sheriff's office.
I want to do the same in my local community and make an effort at 49 years old I see how committed YELP and local businesses have strived to meet demands and development needs to standardize their resources and relationships it’s just important for small businesses to always have the best possible strength to achieve their highest revenue streams without having to attempt law enforcement themselves and publicly address pressure or any stress free environment to situations like these everywhere
You offer some interesting insights on how you prep for this quiz in to the job I know quantics and based on the salary I would expect to drive a squad car as well as very confident around people peddling a bicycle
😊I am a qualified person in traffic control on a bicycle lane so I want a position for a cop on a bike that is my strength in a traffic unit with a fellow police officer on duty pedaling around and helping on a schedule
Can you post a video on the polygraph? I want to apply but I’ve used weed before and the issue I’m having is about drug use in my past.. should I tell them everything or should I just not apply and not be humiliated afterwards
I’ve already went through this interview with the department of corrections at my state prison. I decided not to move forward because I did not agree on the shift that they want me to work now I would like to get into law-enforcement typically a road guy I used to work for a cop a while back ago, he owns his own landscaping business. Other words I’m saying I’m used to discipline.
do you say your greatest strength or can it be what are some of your strengths? Because for me, I'd say communication, hardworking and motivated so would it be frowned upon to come up with more than one. Should I just say for greatest strenth - communication and then when they ask me about what I've done in life/past experience, when I'm meant to upsell myself, that i worked at [...] and i was very motivated to do well and this job has allowed me to be a hard working person and work with a team? wydt?
I would say if your "greatest" strength is communication with other strengths being hard working and motivation, then answer communication and then through in how your ability to stay motivated to doing well and being hard working contribute to you communicating. Something like that, communication is huge in police work, motivation to do well and hard work is keyed towards being knowledgeable, your communication of your knowledge is what will make you good. Little confusing, but hope it helped.
Let me ask this question, if I don't have a 12th grade diploma, can I apply to become a police officer? My question is really stupid. I'm really sorry🙏😢
i dont let my emotions get in the way of my job or personal things that have me in stress stress affect my job perfomance. can i say that as a srtength?
You can, as long as it has been truly tested. You will need to give an example. Officers are cussed at, threatened, spit on, have things thrown at them and so on..... Come up with an example that shows you will not take someone spitting in your face personal.
Sorry my response was delayed, hope all went well. When you get a chance let us know how it went and if there is a new question we can cover here. Good luck.
I have considered law enforcement for over 9 and a half years and in my teens I am 49
In the oral board process now. I appreciate you making these videos.
Thanks for the comment. Good luck.
Early, early phase of hiring process, this video has lifted a lot off my shoulder. Thanks!
I appreciate this because it’s eagerly anticipated for potential future investors in a demanding job such as police officer jobs!

i have my interview in one week. heavy preparation starts now!
Good luck, be sure not to stress yourself out. The folks on the other side of the table are people too.

my greatest weakness is that I care too much. I have big heart....
To your knowledge Are jailer , detention officer ineterviews the same as police officers ?
It's a panel board and a PTO test where I interviewed. It sounds pretty much like the questions I was asked.

Sound quality on this one is a little low.
My oral is tomorrow . Wish me luck. Could I use my lack of a 2nd language as a weakness ?
Sorry my response was delayed, hope all went well. When you get a chance let us know how it went and if there is a new question we can cover here. Good luck.
@@InPursuit360like this person said can a 2nd language be a good one for a weakness?
