I'm going to Miami in about a 1 week and I want to know if the tamiami canal is freshwater or saltwater, because I will be fishing at palmer lake right behind the element hotel and I wanted to know if it was saltwater or not?
It's so funny to see how all these youtubers who fish up north find it so awesome to catch peas and chiclid but all us who live in Florida just walk out of our house catch a few and go on with our day.
My Lady just pointed out to me.."JoJoBarz has the best videos, even before it was googan squad" lol for real, each video gets better and better. the content is so very well put together and sensible and clean... the effort and passion truly shows
Aside from all the awesome Fishing you do, the editing of your videos is what keeps me hooked. You have one of the best editing and camera quality. Keep em coming!
The fact that you caught a fish on the fly shows you have potential, I'm glad you like the fly and I'm looking forward for more fly fishing in the vids. great job!
Hey Jon really liked the whole video. Gorgeous fish, the drone shots were really great, and the underwater release was awesome. Clear water. Great editing.
Its amazing... Jon B has been to 2 places that i live in withing the past 7 months. When he broke his rod while in orlando, that was the community i live in, and before i lives there i lived in palmetto bay florida for my whole life. The bridge with the prom proposal was the bridge right next to my house. It really hits home when i see that bridge. I just moved to orlando back in the summer. Enjoy the peas they're my favorite fish to catch!!
Hey Jon if you love being doubled up you should check out speckled trout fishing down in Louisiana during may. Also redfishing in Louisiana is unlike any other type of fishing you'll ever experience. There's a reason Louisiana is known as sportsmans paradise! Come visit!
Love your video's, you should come to The Netherlands to fish for zander, perch en northern pike! I would love to see you fishing for those fish! especially Zander!
Love your vids you need to book a trip to Brazil for these guys big brothers. I've been several times now and still can't get enough of it. Nothing like throwing giant topwater prop baits for giant Peacocks the strike is amazing and they pull like a train. If you decide to go for it hit me up I down for another trip south. Stay cool and keep fishing and oh yea you need to hit the stick marsh in Florida for a new teener PB bucket mouth.
I hate it when my fly snags on stuff in close quarters, but I've learned how to roll cast since and it's really effective. It allows you to forward cast w/o any back cast. Saves you so much time and you'll have a lot less headaches. Definitely worth learning.
It's pretty funny seeing you guys freak out about the iguana! Those things are everywhere here in Miami, pretty invasive as well. I fish for peacocks all around Miami and they are so much fun to catch, especially with a light rod!
hey Jon, I know you mainly a bass angler, and me too but I stated fly fishing for trout after watching you picking it up. and all your frustration I completely understand. Now fly fishing is a passion for me and I see myself switching over from bass to trout. but I will still go for the good old bucketmouths when I can of course
Add another one to the list of species. Cool looking fish. Drone shots were mesmerizing, the view of the canals and boat action. Sure beats cold and snow, huh?
Jon I love the video so far and you and mikes channel inspired me to start bass fishing and just today I caught a half pound large mouth it doesn't sound like a lot but it was my first bass and I took a lot of the tips you give to catch him. I live in Louisiana and I was fishing in Kincaid lake and you should fish here sometime we have 12 lb bass, big gar, bream, and catfish so I think you would enjoy the fishing here in Louisiana. Thanks you are the best
This peacock bass, or as we call here in Brazil, tucunaré, are just amazing! Unfortunately, our rivers are too dirty, and it's not easy to find them near cities.
Hello Jon B., here in Brazil we have a lot of these Peacock Bass that are called "Tucunaré", you may have listen about the "Pantanal" where we can fish a lot of different species of Peacock Bass, it seems they are the bigger kind of bass.
Jon don't try to set the hook by raising the rod tip, strip the line with your left hand and keep the rod tip pointed at the fish through the hook set, then raise the rod tip to fight the fish
Jon, you'd really benefit from using a longer leader with your fly rods. Get yourself some 7.5 foot 0x or 1x leaders. Having a little more length will help turn over those cone head streamers you were throwing
Hey u should get a polarized lenses for your chest mount so we can see in the water because I can't see anything
Gotta love Miami Peacocks one of the most beautiful fish out there! Nice video!
It was awesome having you and Chris out here dude! Looking forward to the next trip. The video came out perfect!

Yes you do Michael!
I'm going to Miami in about a 1 week and I want to know if the tamiami canal is freshwater or saltwater, because I will be fishing at palmer lake right behind the element hotel and I wanted to know if it was saltwater or not?
It is mostly Freshwater.
It's so funny to see how all these youtubers who fish up north find it so awesome to catch peas and chiclid but all us who live in Florida just walk out of our house catch a few and go on with our day.

This peacock bass, or as we call here in Brazil, tucunaré, are just amazing! Unfortunately, our rivers are too dirty, and it's not easy to find them near cities.
And btw, they can be found at other places, now only Amazon and Miami. I used to fish peacock bass in São Paulo.
When are you coming back down for more peacocks?
Yeah bro I noticed you were setting the hook like a bass but u corrected and pulled the line towards you like you should great fish love seein it!

Now that Casey stopped vlogging you are the best vlogger on TH-cam.
Jon, you'd really benefit from using a longer leader with your fly rods. Get yourself some 7.5 foot 0x or 1x leaders. Having a little more length will help turn over those cone head streamers you were throwing
