    Do you mean there is a different app other than Clarity on my iPhone that I should be using to track my dad’s sugar levels? Is it called “Dexcom”? Confused newbie
    Dr. said he can share readings with 5 people max. You mention up to 10? How do I add more than 5?
    Thank you- daughter helping Dad. We are learning together.

    I have two questions first question is I know you use a lot of Apple products but do you have any suggestions for an Android phone user that wants to use a watch a smartwatch to watch their Dexcom 7 readings second question is do you see any difference in your readings when you use your G7 on your abdomen

    Awesome video, quick question tho, on a android, does the media volume have to be up to be able to hear the g7 alerts? Like with my freestyle 3, I cld watch a TH-cam vid on low volume when I was going to bed, and if I had a low, the freestyle alarm would be loud "which is good for me" but the g7 alerts are low if my media is low😢

    Dexcom G7 is a good device. However, precaution on possibility of its 4mm probe remaining inside your arm. The last sensor failed to warm and Dexcom app flagged its failure and said to remove and replace. But its probe remained in my right arm, which I’m having surgery scheduled for its removal on Monday.

  • @fretless05
    @fretless05 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I do like having the Clarity data and GMI data, but understand that the GMI and a1C will be little different. My theory is that the difference comes from the Clarity app being a simpler integration of the curve of the data while an actual a1c test is time-weighted as the hemoglobin cells have a relatively short life, so more recent blood glucose is more heavily weighted in an actual a1c test. I'll have to check out the Clarity app on the computer, as it looks like it has all the reports on the phone app programmed as navigable tabs, which is awesome.

    • @timlist4173

      @@timlist4173 I'm actually suffering from that today! G7 keeps alarming saying I have a dangerous low and fingersticks continue to say that's not the case, but my calibration was rejected, so it keeps alarming and, sadly, shutting off the basal on my pump, driving my actual BGs higher. This is frustrating fo rsure.

  • @elizabethpladek220
    @elizabethpladek220 ปีที่แล้ว

    As a new user of G7, does making changes to the android phone app get sent to the actual G7 unit? Or, do I need to change both app and G7 to get these various alerts and calibration to stay in sync with each other? Also, I found that the G7 is reading 25 units higher than a meter.... When I change the sensor calibration, do I need to recalibrate with each change, or, is the calibrate corrected for all future sensors?

    • @diabe_tech
      @diabe_tech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Everything is done on the app. It is normal for there to be a difference in readings. All cgms are off a bit, sometimes. There is a margin of error up to about 8%. That said, calibrations can help, but there are no rules. Cgms help us understand how foods effect us and very helpful for knowing when we are rising/dropping and how quickly (in case we need to address). Also, cgms read your sugar levels from 15/20 mins ago, so it’s normal to be off if you are moving up or down.

    • @elizabethpladek220
      @elizabethpladek220 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@diabe_tech a consistent 26 unit+ seems like a calibration is in order. I get a 20/20 variation but if it is always 26+ then it seems time to calibrate for a closer reading especially when there is a level reading for over an hour (no food time period)

      @@bryandraughn9830 hahaha 🤣 I don’t remember my own thoughts either. I was probably doing a bunch of things at one time and hearing my daughter was in the hospital. It’s all good 👍 incomplete thought. INFJ thang! Hahaha 🤣

      @@bryandraughn9830 I remember now. On the I phone will the new Mobi pump operation be similar to the original screen? Will more settings and controls be available since the Mobi pump doesn’t have a screen? You were talking a bit fast for this old man I was asking you to slow down your speech. Will you be able to turn on sleep mode and exercise mode on I phone to have more control of insulin delivery on Mobi pump? Will you be able to use both G7 and G6 transmitters with the new Mobi pump and move back and forth between the two sensors? If I download the G7 to iPhone must I then only G7 sensors? Yes I had a lot going on that day! Daughters back at work thanks for asking. Love those that hate you!

    When you see dots all over the place and not in even pace you have a sensor problem. That first graph is all over.

    I’m using the DexCom G7. I’ve found that the 20 foot limit is more of an issue with the G7 then the G6. I like the G7 because it’s only one step instead of 2. But that 20 Bluetooth range sucks. I have other health issues that make me take it off the charger more then once during the night. Who ever thought of giving these devices a 20 foot Bluetooth range didn’t consider that a DexCom user may have other health issues besides diabetes. That’s pretty narrow minded. Also I find that if I get an out of range signal, I can’t do what I used too to get it back again. This part really sucks.

      That’s what I have and it works. Apple said you can’t roll back an update so I couldn’t. It works. Get the 7!

      That’s odd. Using the g7 app? I’d say after your next sensor, delete the app and reinstall.

    But how to turn off that GOD AWFUL pop up that continually keeps showing you that "these are insulin does" over, and over, and over again on the main screen?! #annoyingAF
