LV is like your low maintenance best friend. You can go for a while without without seeing each other, but once you got together you'll know why you love it in the first place.
Very true. However, IMO the only high-end brand, apart from current Loewe, with really many many innovative designs and the bags do hold their value. Great videos❤️
I feel like for me one or two monogram is enough for me . I sold an almost all of mine last year. One of the main reasons is because so many of the bags are so heavily counterfeited they no longer felt special to me, even though I knew mine were authentic.
You make a good point! I think there are so many fakes out there that I dont want to be lumped into that same category and it's not special to me anymore. But I guess you can say the same about chanel bags Maybe that's why I'm more into vintage chanels with the 24k gold hardware? I've slowed down on buying chanels too.
@@Somehowadulting exactly because that’s what makes them unique is you’re not seeing a copy of them every way you look! That’s why one of the only Louis Vuitton pieces I kept was the Eva clutch. Because that is rarely copied. Also, what I have found is it very hard to wear the monogram prints with different outfits. If you understand what I’m saying, it tends to look a little bit too busy for me right now.
black Birkin bag, which was the first good choice I ever made. I can afford a Kelly bag in any color. If I were 25, I'd probably buy it. But now I consciously don't want to associate with a woman who has a Kelly and a Birkin. I have no interest in spending $40k on a bag (a piece of leather + labor = up to $1000) Imagine spending $39k on this brand. Totally unnecessary.
Your video about your Louis Vuitton collection was really insightful! I appreciate your honest thoughts on the brand and how your style has evolved. I completely understand the feeling of outgrowing certain pieces and wanting something fresh. Looking forward to seeing more of your content.
I’m getting bored of monogram and DE canvas from LV. Brown just isn’t my favorite color to wear. I would love to add a bucket bag from LV but I haven’t found the perfect one yet. You have a great collection! ❤ that red lip looks amazing on you.
I agree! LV at the moment is re releasing bags with slight tweaks ie adding a charm or strap here and there and then charging a ridiculous amount for it. Not feeling inspired or engaged with it at all! Nothing on their website/in store makes me want to add anything to my wish list…
I feel the same way. Louis Vuitton releases so many pieces….its hard to keep up. I also gravitate towards simpler, less busy designs now. The focus seems to be on trendy pieces rather than classics.
It comes down to personal preferences and there is still space for trendy pieces. I will say we still need LV to come out with new design innovations. If every brand is like the Row it would be quite boring too. I still enjoy looking at the new releases LV comes out with but I just won't spend the money myself. If that makes any sense.
I can totally relate to your story. During covid I bought several LV bags and I rarely use them know. Especially the monogram. I feel like it's too loud and I am kind of over it. But for some reason...I have a hard time letting them go 😊 Probably because I started my luxury collection with LV. I think you will let go of the Delightful and the Neonoe.
I agree. Most people start with LV when buying their first designer bag. I actually did end of up letting go both the neonoe and delightful. Both went to my subbies and they are loving their new bags!
I love my neonoes, I have one in mono and one DE. if all my other LV were to disappear tomorrow I'd be okay if I just had Neonoes, I'd add a DA print and be done.
Louis Vuitton is one of those brands that never do a sale or a discount, so the only way to get them less than retail is to go pre-loved. However, there are so many fakes out there in the pre-loved market, I don't know if you can in good conscience recommend purchasing there. Maybe you don't get excited about LV because it doesn't go with the messaging of your TH-cam channel? It's become one of those brands you see everywhere, so it doesn't feel unique to me.
@JHT99 If you go on 24S you do see some pieces from LV go on for a discount. That's very specific pieces only tho..Yea you address a good point that I thought off but did not articulate in the video. Subconsciously I dont want to wear the same bag as every other person out there! Especially the fakes out there.
My first LV was the speedy 30 in monogram. Almost chose the Delightful, but it was my first high end bag and wanted to go classic. I would have gotten much more use of a Delightful. But here I am 9 years later still holding on to the speedy. I’m not a top handle girl, but like you, I’m having an internal debate. Fashionphile just gave me a good offer on it, but I’m struggling to part with it so I guess I’ll hold on to her. Funny how some bags we get a bit attached to.
I think I was still in my big bag era when I first picked the delightful. I think you and I need to talk each other into letting our first LV bags go lol
I have one monogram, one damier ebene, and one epi leather. I don’t feel the need for more canvas. I’m interested in empreinte but I also like too many other brands. Louis Vuitton’s prices have gotten insane so I probably won’t get an empreinte.
Ohh that lipstick is a great colour for you, looks fabulous. I’ve 6 LV bags but only 2 in monogram and both are small, I’d feel too conspicuous with a larger bag in it. I can go a year without using a particular bag because I have no brand loyalty 😂 but each one has its place, it’s just I sometimes get a bit bored of them which I think is only natural. Both mono ones definitely have their place and I still love them - I just love others too.
It's interesting how we find our signature color and stick with it! Brand loyalty, now that you and I both brought it up, I think that's a interesting concept. Might be a video idea 😉 yea I think I've come to the conclusion that I only need two monogram bags.
I am like you, I don’t buy the monogram anymore. I do have several pieces in it. Now I do carry some of my more secured bags when traveling, even though they are monogrammed. I am careful where I carry them because of judgy people. Ha My go to bags tend to be on the designer quieter side.
I think a lot of us are trending that way for more quiet bags. Now that I'm thinking about it even more. I do love their designs. Just not the mono/DM as much anymore.
I still have lots of vintage pieces i want to collect however the bag winnie B LV unboxes was soooo cute!!! I just did a video about all the LV bags under 2k and realised i liked a lot of mens pieces!
I recently went to the LV store and I was eyeballing the east west empriente pochette metis. The interior gold foil stamping words all bled into each other. I showed the SA and was like wtf? He didn't have anything to say except "I'll get you another one if you're interested" I'm like eh. It's ok. LV definitely needs to have better quality control for the prices they're charging
I know I just went this past weekend and I wanted to see the neverfull demolition spec Omai God it was like a piece of paper at pure garbage. I could not believe the bad quality of this item should I wrap it up for you? I'm like no it's like garbage.
Glad you enjoy that shade! Looks great in you 😍 Regarding LV, looks like as you are ramping down, I am ramping up 😅 I enjoy seeing everyone’s changing phases! 🌛😂😃💸
You DO have a classic LV collection! I especially love your bucket bag with red. (For me it's always a case of 'You had me with the red.') I get it re your feelings about the monogram. I'm guessing you'll let go of the first bag that slides off your shoulder. Another fun video.🤗🌻
I do have a weakness for red bags. I use to have so many more but now I'm more into the beige, caramel and browns. I think it suits my skin tone better. But so does red!
Thanks for sharing. Totally agreed with you. I also sold some of mine and gave one the Neo noe for my mom to use as I am not reach for it as much. I recently got a speed 25 emprentine in a beige color. I like the functionally of the bag and I definitely like it more cause it is more low key. So including that only 4 pieces from LV now and am I am content about that.
The 1st one & the 3rd the NeoNoe I don't think you wil miss much. 1st one is outdated n nothing special & the NeoNoe that bright red-orange is very hard to match & in your face. The reverse Metis & the empriente OTG is timeless. Those 2 look expensive n it will be more expensive in the future!

I love that Neo Noe for her whole aesthetic. Contrast red piping and interior, unique strap and classic silhouette. Keep
We shall see if I keep it 😃 But yes that's exactly why I wanted the red contrast one. It gives it a different vibe than the usually monogram print.
