I think their strategy is very good. They just cut out all "premium features" and instead focus on some important ones: touch sensory, water and sweet proof, drop proof, they enhance battery and gives some audio options. In general, by cutting all "flashy" features, they cut down the price while the quality is optimized. The same thing goes with a psychology effect call "choices paralysis" which means if you have too many choices and they are equally bad then you will be paralyzed and can't choosea proper one. Jlab instead found out that if they add low-optimized features, they actually make the experience worse. Therefore, they only added useful and high-optimized features. Moreover, no one expect anything like amazing microphone, or modern application control or somthing like that from a 20$ earbuds. This Jlab go air pop excels at what we need, and that's why I love Jlab.
Yooooo
Srsly?
It’s good but why this long?
I ain't reading allat we up tho 💯
How's their call/mic quality?
Nice article bro
It is just so impressive that Companies make such great pairs of earbuds at such low prices
They don't have a choice given the current economic situation we're all in.
They're honestly fantastic. The only time I use my Airpods Pro instead is when I need Noise Cancellation which is rare. Every other time I'm reaching for these everytime. They fit so much better than the Pros too.
@@ivanfreely6366 Its interesting to me, because certain electronic components are still very hard to find. They use them from cars, to computers, solar panels, and most disturbingly - nuclear missiles. The price of batteries and their components skyrocketed, this was worldwide. Maybe the market isn't too bad now and is getting what what buyers need in higher affordable quantities.
Airpods are over priced name brand scheme. Get some Tozos, soundpeats ,soundcores, taotronics.that were price amd quality is a STEAL!
Agreed I do telehealth for work with Chromebook and always use air pod pros but they just do not connect well at all so picked these up and was amazed by the sound and 200 cheaper they have great bass I’m really impressed.
I ordered a set immediately after receiving an email about the preorder from jlab. I'm glad your review confirms that I didn't make a mistake. Great review, as always!
How are they? Has the sound volume changed at all?
These have become my immediate recommendation to friends for budget earbuds. Their sound quality is just insane for the price and they’re so small and comfortable that I use them when I sleep. They’re very well received on RTINGS and are compared with earbuds almost 4x their price.
I wouldn't recommend sleeping wi those in your ear
@@danx1720 ?
@@danx1720 you sleep with Headphones in? I wouldn't reccomend that if you're a roller or side sleeper
@@thenexus7343 no I don't
They TRASH!!
These JLAB Air Pops are the best fit for my ears over all the true-wireless earbuds I've tried. I have small ears and these don't feel like they're going to fall out constantly. They're so small and nearly weightless. Love em!
How are they? Has the sound volume changed at all?
Unless you have big ears, they are NOT tiny! That is the one thing I dislike about them is that they are big and bulky. Thicker than a hearing aid BUT the sound is amazing. Crystal clear, loud.
@@NickyM_0 yeah too big for my ears as well. I love everything else though
Glad to see you back in the game brother!🙌🏼
Thanks man, not 100% by any means but a hell of a lot better
El Jefe.. I watched ur review first on the pop and I absolutely love it. I love ur passion about how you present. I watch ur videos and I smile all the time and nod my head as though u were sitting right in front of me. And when u approve.... u APPROVE!

I love that I don't have to keep up with the cord!
Fantastic buds, these were great stocking stuffers at Christmas due to their promotional 14 dollar price in December. I bought 8 pairs for various people including myself, everyone is still happy with them! My personal experience after 6 months is that I am still shocked at the quality. I use them daily at work for over 9 hours, the fit is great without fatigue (they're very compact) and the battery lasts the whole day without going much below half battery. Sound quality is great, for reference they sound a lot better than my Bose headphones. These are very clear, I frequently hear stuff I never heard before in my music. Bass and treble are perfectly tuned, you can turn them up LOUD, I really don't have complaints. The case is very sturdy, has a built in charging cable, and is very easy to fit in you pocket due to it's small form. The case charge lasts about a week of heavy daily use, I have not noticed any sort of decreasing battery or sound quality.
These are a great daily driver, not expensive enough to break the bank if they get lost, sound fantastic, and they last due to their great quality. I will definitely buy another set for myself, I don't see any reason to buy a more expensive pair since these have been all I really need! 🙏
in my earphone the sound goes and goes for 2 seconds, do you have it too?
How is the microphone?
I'm a fan of the color options, sometimes you want a "beater" pair of earbuds when you're running or something like that. Also I'm glad to see you better man, hope your recovery is going well
Just picked these up and I'm impressed thus far. It's been years since I owned a In-Ear headphone but I finally found one with an acceptable run time (8 HR). The touch interface response time may be a tad sluggish and the built-in USB cable may be a bit too short but overall it's not much of a problem to me given the price point. Features like the preset EQ (3) is really nice along with the decent sound quality.
They have the best Battery life out of just about any other company
Hiw are they holding up now that you have had them for a while
@@jessie-ht7bc No problems thus far for me. I mainly use them while in bed at night watching TV, so the wear and tear is minimal.
@@ivanfreely6366 thank you. It will be a gift to a sibling of mine. They will also mainly use it for watching youtube and what not at home.
How long did it take to ship ?
The tapping to change the volume is sooo good, also the battery life is also really good for me!
I watched this review 8 months ago, when I was deciding whether or not to get these earbuds.
I came back to confirm that these were the best buy I have made in the last year.
Also, I highly recommend going with the dark green color - they look amazing.
Yes yes.. i am late , waiting on usps to deliver
.
I straight up ran mine in case through the washer and dryer. Still work perfect.
Welcome back, Boss. Happy to see you back looking great and Better... 🤗
These are the best Airbuds I've ever had, and I've gone through at least 5 pairs. I also own the Airpods Pro, and they just can't compete with the JLabs Battery Life. I'll work a whole shift and when I get home they're still at 80%. ANC and Transparency mode is the only thing I miss, but other than that you can't beat it. Especially if you're someone like me who loses singular ear buds all the time. Great, Cheap, and easily replaceable! I recommend these to everyone honestly. You can get a Portable Battery Pack for vacation and you wont have to plug them into the wall for weeks. Glad I found em.
The battery life is so good on these I haven’t charged them even once since I got them
This could also be a great option for everyone who doesnt know how take of their earphones or buds and always one side gets ruined.
Just got them from Best Buy at 8 bucks for black friday, these headphones are fine. Personally the most important thing is that there isnt any distortion at high volumes or bass heavy media.
It's a steal at 8 bucks.
@@NNA1984Id take 2😅
I bought these expecting the worse. I just needed something that outputted sound. But I was very impressed with how they sounded and felt. especially the battery life. Perfect for work, where I’m not really worried about having the best sound quality or ruining my high end earbuds.
Is there is any delay in sound
@@abdallasaeed2480 not that I noticed. Granted i only listen to music and TH-cam. I bet if you used it for gaming it would probably have delay.
@@Sci-Mon1 do you get any connectivity issue like dropping out or something also did you buy it for 20 or 25$
@@abdallasaeed2480 nope no connectivity issues. Honestly these are really good for the prices. I only paid $18. They were on sale.
I just got a pair a month ago and left em in my pocket and put it through the wash. Still works. No static or anything from the water.
I had a jlab go air for almost a year, I dropped the earphones so many times in the span of those months that I had it and they always kept working, the charger thing looked messed up too but worked just fine, eventually tho I got really careless and lost them-The point I’m tryin to make is that these things are hella durable, my con with the jlab buds is that they aren’t good with sweat and if u have a hoodie they start to act up
they are durable
i may have washed one in my pocket
They really are. I may or may not have dropped them in the bathtub and toilet
They really are, i may or may not have swallowed one, it may or may not have survived my stomach acid
Glad to have you back - crushing it as always!!
Thank you
W
I was omw to the gym and realized I forgot my beats so I stopped at target and got these for $20 they were charged and ready to go. Now I use these at work and when I get home. For $20 it’s a great value. I like them.
Bought a pair for my mum since she needed a pair of TWS Earbuds and ended up buying these bad boys for $12.99 at best buy since they were on sale. I tried them and they sound great for the price. The magnets are strong and the case is a nice upgrade from the Go Airs. Best budget earbuds
How would you say they compare to the original Go Air? Any noticeable differences?
@@TranceHistorian as far as I know the case is better on the Pops since they close shut.
I feel bad for your mum
@@Zeegoner nope. She loves them. And she's not an Audiophile💀
@@dabeanne which color did u get
I bought a pair of these for a buddy/coworker and a pair for myself after researching the best cheap earbuds. Now I do own "higher end earbuds" like the Jbl club pro plus, jbl endurance peak 2s, and Soundcore Spirit X2s, but I have to say Jlab go air pops have it where it counts which is the sound quality. Maybe I'm not enough of an audiophile idk but I do know I greatly enjoy listening to these, especially for the price. The real treat is the 3 eq settings adjustable from the buds themselves; no going into an app to configure them. Believe the hype with these!
My favorite feature is the cord being attached to the case. Such a brilliant 👏 idea 💡
Omg omg I am even more excited for mines to come after your review 😊 I ordered them on sight and got free shipping $20 through and through
I bought these because I forgot my 3rd gen AirPods at home and thought I lost them. I’m REALLY surprised at how good they are. The sound is comparable. So now I have a great backup or travel pair that I can afford to lose.
Picked up a pair this AM at Best Buy. Amazing buds for $20, perfect to keep in my pocket.
Just picked up 3 pair at Best Buy today....on sale for 12.99 !! One for me ...2 for gifts...lol
@@donatocongialdi4811 same!!!!
@@donatocongialdi4811 Same, I just got one for $13.77
@@haroun9 Awesome...these are great and a big hit for Christmas presents
@@donatocongialdi4811 Yep, picking it up in Best Buy later today, sometimes it's not necessarily the more money the better the product, there's a point where paying for more isn't worth the small added benefits
I've bought some JLab Go Pop ear buds today after losing one of my previous Jlab ear buds which is so annoying. All I can say about this product is they are the best IMHO. I hardly ever had to recharge them and they didn't take long to recharge I would recommend buying these again.
I work 8+ hours a day at a lumber mill so wood dust everywhere lots a rain here in Oregon and I can't complain much if any about these buds they are pretty danm good regardless of the price. Not the best in sound but not bad either so for 20$ they are a no Brainer. Personally I like em better than the dimes
Good to see you back, glad you’re feeling better. Great vid as always bro!
I bought mine march of 2023 and they are still at 100 percent and I’ve only had to charge them one time. I haven’t really used them like a whole bunch, but these are really good 👍
When my airpod pros got fucked up these things were a life saver
This just happened to me 😭
Hell yea for the video and your health bro! Welcome back!
Still feeling off but I am back and working...that's a step in the right direction
not sure about the volume of that crowd noise but ... that sounds pretty good ... totally agree about the "muffled" sound but the crowd noise wasn't as loud as your voice and that's a good thing
I just recently bought a pair of these jlab go air pops to replace my AirPods Pro’s after I lost them and these are so comfortable and have different sound modes and I love the built in charger and the battery life for me at least is unbelievable I haven’t even charged them yet and I’ve had them 2 weeks and I use them daily also they surprisingly have arguably better sound quality than my AirPods so definitely a 10/10 from me👌🏻
I'm big on JVC (for some reason 🤦🏾♂️) and I lost them so I decided to try them.
I would rate them 9.5/10 for $20! #1 the earbuds actually stay inside my damm ears
#2 the battery lasts 3x longer than the JVC gummies.
# The SOUND IS AMAZING. Great bass and ok.
#4 WATER PROTECTION, I often drop them in the sink while brushing my teeth and washing my face, my JVC gummies died after a dunk in the sink but the jLabs took it like a champ. I would buy another pair simply to have a backup
I am very very particular about my sound. I've tried 200 dollar earbuds and currently use His Res earbuds from Soundcore. And these sounds amazing! And for the price, a no brainer!
I got these randomly in the airport, I can't actually believe how good they are for the price range. Really good for music, for podcasts you can hear slight hissing noise not too noticeable, for phone calls not great at all & finally they fit really well with the tips they provide. £30 it's great.
I just picked a pair up this morning at $24.00 & im 100% impressed with the sound quality!
This earbuds is solely responsible for parking both of my Skullcandy dimes. I have two pairs of dimes. Because of only 3.5 hr. battery life on the buds itself, I had to purchase the second pair, and would switch buds when the first pair was low on juice.
With the JLAB Go Air, all I need is one pair, and can leave the charging case at home. The sound quality is awesome, the fit is great, the battery life is remarkable, and the price is unbelievable. This is an overkill compared to the Skullcandy dimes, it beat it in every category, hands down.
The only issue I have is, removing the buds from the darn case. There's no grip and my fingers keep slipping. Other than that, this is an awesome earbud, and is way underpriced.
I just wanted to add that I've had the go air which also is in the case with attached cord. Purchased may 2020, 3 years now. Cord is like new. I let mine hang most of the time just attached to a wall charger. I don't baby them. The cord thing is a preference issue. It's very well made. Okay has amazing quality for the price range. I've since purchased 4 different headsets just to have a variety. I enjoy JBL and have a set of beats.
I bought one and lost the case with one in it. I immediately bought two more. These are the go to earbuds for athletes who are on a very tight budget and are just looking for good sound, reliability, and won't fall off during heavy training /sweatproof
Are they still working ?
How are they now???
Thanks for this review! Any idea what the difference is between these and the original JLab Go Air? Wonder how they compare.
I've had one for years and it still works. Amazing value!! My only problem is how bulky they are in the ear but can't complain for the price.
Hi Keith. I bought the pair , and was really disappointed on the mic performance. If I take a call while walking outdoors, the other side says that there's a lot of wind noise.
I think you should include a wind noise test as part of your review.
Other than that, is a great pair, for the price.
I was looking for the mic quality. That’s a key component for me because talking on the phone is what I do with any pair of earbuds. Not sure if I should splurge and buy another set of 100 plus buds or get a cheap set. I use my buds for everything. At work, home, talking etc.
I bought these for my nan because she wanted a pair of cheap earbuds and when I tested them, I was very impressed with the sound quality considering they’re £25.99
Once I figured out I needed to swap the tip to the smallest one to keep them in my ears, I love them.
32 hours of charging use I'm guessing because I bought my earbuds, same version same color 2 months ago and I still haven't charged my case and my earbuds still say full everytime I use them. I also didn't charge them when I got them, I'm still using the battery life provided already straight out the box! I typically use my ear buds for 8 hours at a time 4-5 times a week at work. When I'm done or having a quick break I pop them back in the case and I keep the case at work. I'm sure I'll need to charge the case soon but as for my 2 month review I am amazed! Sound quality it great and I love the touch feature.
Damn gamesky!! Looking like a slim Jim over here! Looking good bro!
I love mine! For the price they have great sound and I love the colors! Ordered mine off walmart's website plus more. They came in 2 days!
Tbh I love the color. I wish my electronic store had them too, but unfortunately they were sold out in lilac. I got the blue ones instead. But if I see them in lilac, I'll get them for sure.
Welcome Back Bro, hope your feeling better.
Thanks, getting there
Just grabbed 4 pairs from Walmart for $9.88 each! 🔥
I have the brown colored ones, they work GREAT! for what I need them for. The built in cable is my FAVORITE feature and then the battery life. Ordered from Amazon.
Thank the lord you are back man. Hopefully you back to 100% 🙏💜
I brought these, sound quality is okay but I loved them cuz they had the charger attached to the case so very portable - I’m so mad I lost them!
Buy another pair 😢
I love these things. I often wear one bud nearly all day at work, and if im working super long days it charges more than enough during like a 30 min break to last a full 10-12 hour day easily. The biggest issue I have with them is the touch controls kind of require using both buds at the same time to work properly(Left for volume down and skip back, right for volume up and skip forward), but it's not that big of a deal to have to grab my phone for that. Also I've dropped them a million times, and a couple of times from up on a ladder and they're still totally fine.
@Gamesky What does "Total Playtime" mean vs "Earbud Playtime"? You only listen to the earbuds while they are in your ears so what is "Total Playtime"? Thank you.
Looks like the Edifier X3 but the X3 doesn't have its bells and whistles. Great to see you on screen once more.
Purchased some for only 10 bucks i cant wait to try them! black friday sale !
Very good quality earbuds in my opinion 🔥the bass boost is a very good feature, would recommend to anyone.
I have decided to order these in Slate Gray just to try out as a general purpose set with a 'pop' of color other than standard issue gray or black. I believe if JLab adds wireless charging in addition to the cable charging on all their sets, the purchasing audience would expand vastly!! Obviously, a slight price bump would make sense, likely, $35-45 for these. Thx for the review!!
I received these today and am very surprised that these respond so well to the touch functions. The JLAB Signature sound is the best, followed by Balanced. Bass Boost is TOO MUCH BASS. Bottom line: if you are not looking to spend alot of $$ or have a smartphone with no wireless earbuds, these are a no-brainer at what you get for the $$$
Does it fall out of your ears?
Thanks for the review. Is it possible to change the controls from right to left or left to right? Or is it fixed on each side?
Built in charger winner, Sound quality on my podcasts are good, deep rich sound, but playing for example Haste the Day, Alestorm and all the way to Elton John gives good all round sound. Just a bit tricky to get used to the controls. but for the money, epic pair of buds.
just got them an hour ago & i am listening to this video while wearing them and these are my thoughts so far:
- love the purple color
- the case is nice & small but it is kinda slippery so be careful
- comfortable in my ears
- nice audio
- it came with battery almost full
- dont like the charger that comes connected but oh well 🤷🏻♀️
- i absolutely love the touch sensors and it actually works
overall i rate them a 9/10 i rlly like these
I just added my 2 cents on the cord issue. I have the go airs which has the same cord case as the go air pops. Purchased 3 years ago. I don't baby my case let it hang. These are my everyday at home buds usually at night . prestige condition still!!! Wish I could share pics for reference. Be confident. Cord is annoying but excellent quality build.
@@estherwilkes8202 i agree the quality is pretty nice! thanks for ur feedback as well :)
welcome back glad to see you are better!
I have a pair of these in a muted hot pink color. I love them!! I do miss my raycon everyday earbuds tho.
Watched review in croma, bought it & now listening the review in jlab air pop
My main pair of headphones are my Sony XM5s. Bought these for works since I work out doors. And I gotta say these are very impressive.
this was a good video, but the whole reason I watched was to get info about the EQ3 sound, and you mentioned this a couple times and indicated you would get to it, but you never mentioned what you need to do to access this to change my settings. oh well maybe another video will actually have this info.
I've had these for about two months, they're damn good. I'm sure airpods are great but I don't need any fancy shmancy stuff. I just need it to listen to some simple audio and for calls. It does that perfectly fine. 10/10 would recommend.
Welcome back Mr GameSky. Man its good to hear u back.👍😎🤙
Wow , great features and great price for a gift for young family members! Thanks, Keith!
this man definitely deserves a sub!
Do you need the case to turn them on? Thats the part that is annoying to me. Is there a way to turn them on without the case?
Got mine for $17 @ Target. Excellent purchase for the price point, even in Lilac... I always put on Schoolboy Q Studio as a sound test, these things are ridiculous for $17 hell at $40 they'd be a steal.
You do a thorough, informative job! Thank you! 💯👍🏼
I had the bigger ones I didn’t even know these existed until I walked into Best Buy. Worth it and worth replacing when they die.
I just purchased this for 17 bucks, to replace my jbuds air and they where amazing for 30 dollar headphones at the time I’ve had them for about a year and a half working out side at the price range it makes no sense to buy expensive ones. Good bass and they to block out outside noise.
I've had these ear buds for like 7 or 8 months and I swear I have played them nonstop all day and they haven't gone below like 40% battery. I have used them for hours on end and not charged the case for like weeks at a time and they still have good battery. Anyway I do love these earbuds and would recommend them if you have a budget.
Exactly the same for me 💯
I could use them on and off for legit 3 or 4 days straight without having to charge, and when i do i can charge them literally from anywhere without needing a charger (since its litetally built in)
Bro youre like one of my favorite tech youtubers. Great work bro
Just picked up a pair from best buy for 13 buck preblack Friday, after rewards 8 bucks. Thanks for confirming post too cheap not to buy price that I'll enjoy these as my backup beaters. Cheers!
I been having mine n same color for a year n is perfect I'm glad I seen these video I needed to see the instructions again lol😅
These things are amazing for their price. In fact I'd go as far as to say that I like them better than my last set which were about 10x the price.
do they fall out easily? like if im trying to play basketball or some sports, would they fall out?
@@velxyr mine had a piece that helps them not to fall out as easy, but without it yeah they might be a bit loose if your sweating.
Glad to have you back we missed you ❤️
Hope you're doing better now, good to have you back. :D
The battery 🔋 life on these are great, and they sound good for the price...
The skull candy Dime constantly says "battery low" 😭
I almost bought those but I love the jlabs
Anybody else here have a weird obsession with cheap earbuds. I have no reason to get these but I really want them
I just bought the Originals one year ago so I dont Need Just new ones haha. So im very Happy with the Go Air: especially the Sound and the battery perform so much better than I thougt they would do for only 30€! I also love how well they fit in my ears and they even have Support for the nicer sounding AAC Codec, thats Just wow in that price Range. I definitely recommend The Go Air but I Think the new Pop ones are great also.
Glad you're back and at em. Always enjoy your videos, well, the audio anyway. :) a
How do these compare to the air go regular ones? I'm asking because the non pop are not that much more expensive. Do you think it's worth the extra $5-10?
Don’t worry about answering. I have to pass since shipping to Canada is more than the price of the buds. Thanks anyways
I'm having a really hard time deciding if i want the JLab Go Air Pop or Tozo T6, could u please tell me which one's are better?
Product is easy to use, even for an older guy! Good video, adds to the info from manual.
Happy to see you are feeling better bro.
I would love to have this for Christmas
Hey man welcome back, I hope you feel better 👍🏼
Love my JLAB Go Pop Earbuds! And the lilac goes great with my purple iPhone 12!
Even super budget buds have a place. Hope you're feeling better.
which color is best? i think red is cool but black is more stealthy
Honestly these are pretty good! I work 12 hour night shifts and use them on and off throughout the night and they last me my whole shift.
I’ve been meaning to buy a new pair of affordable wireless earbuds for a WHILE so I decided to go with this one after watching many reviews, I just hope they’re decent! (Wish the mic was a little better and the built in wire was tad longer but what do you expect for £20) I was stuck between the ‘Slate’ and ‘Teal’ colour as I wanted to match them with my blue iPhone 13 ended up deciding to go with slate since it’s a subtle blue more grey. My first pair of affordable earbuds I bought were Haylou GT1 Pros but they stopped charging and kept dying on me very 5 minutes after maybe a year of use sooo I hope I have a better experience with these JLabs :) I also miss the luxury of no wires XD
how's it holding?
For $30 these quality af💯💨
