I put 2 same model fury impact ddr4 3200mhz with CL20 and then blue screen problem occurs occasionally. Now, I take out 1 of it and replace it with the original built-in ram (ddr4 3200mhz cl22) and see how 😅 follow ur steps since see u remain the original ram and just add 1 more new ram

i think you should not remove the battery. its not that important to disconnect battery from the motherboard. since it's not really related to inserting ram in it. Just turn of the laptop and plug it off the powersupply

Make sure all the screws are removed then pull the back pannel starting at the rear part. Also have a thin plastic pick like the one that I was using to removed all the locks inside.

Hi! if you you have a different CL the system will calibrate your RAM at the slowest CL. Example if you have CL18 and CL22. It will run at CL 22. If your market is not that wide just make sure you'll get the same GB and mHz of your stock RAM to activate dual channel.
I dont think it does really. If you're paranoid and something happens to your laptop that makes it need like servicing, just open it up again and remove the new stick. They can't tell whether you've taken it apart or not

Today I bought a 16 gb Kingstone Hyperx Impact DDR4 3200 stick, and upon plugging it in, the laptop went into BSOD loop. I really dont know what to do with this. I've tested both ram slots with my original ram stick and both work fine. Testing the 16 gb ram in either slots dont work. Would appreciate any help.
Based on the information that you've provided. There's a big chance that the 16GB ram is defective. Please check for any physical damage on the new RAM. If you have another laptop where the RAM is compatible, please try it as well. If not, I would suggest returning it where you bought it.

Hey! I'm sorry for the late reply. Was the black button you mentioned burnt? I'm not exactly sure what component that is, but my guess is it was a resistor. In some cases, some parts of the motherboard will still work. Even a resistor is burnt or now working. In your case, if your laptop is working, then that part of the motherboard is okay, even with one less resistor. Just avoid getting your laptop really hot so you can avoid further damage.

@TH-cam Account There's a big chance if the resistor is no longer functioning. But as long as your laptop is working well, don't try to fix it. If that is really a resistor and that resistor is dedicated to the RAM, the problem you could experience is performance.

@@epicamigo5395 Don't use much force unplugging it. There's a small plastic part the both end of the plastic connector, make sure to push at those part simultaneously. Don't pull it out using the cables.

I'm a little bit confuse. Let me give a try. If you have a second monitor. Try opening Task Manager and go to Performance then while playing and see if the games are running using your GPU. If not, go to your NVIDIA control panel and make sure all games under Global Settings is using your GPU. 2nd is, your monitor definitely affect your FPS depends on the refresh rate. 3rd is make sure that your drivers are updated. Let me know about the updates.

I would suggest that you do it again. Just make sure that the RAMs are properly installed. There should be no problem as long as you two working RAMs.

What is the graphics card? If you have 2080 or higher, it's definitely better to have 16GB x2. But if you have 1650, 8x2 is enough.

Hey buddy i want a little help here. While opening my ideapad gaming 3 to upgrade ram i forgot to disconnect battery so while i was putting back ram cover a minor shot happen in black button near ram i was very sad but laptop was working fine as it was earlier as if nothing had happened what could have happened then? a little help will appreciated thanks. Hey! I'm sorry for the late reply. Was the black button you mentioned burnt? I'm not exactly sure what component that is, but my guess is it was a resistor. In some cases, some parts of the motherboard will still work. Even a resistor is burnt or now working. In your case, if your laptop is working, then that part of the motherboard is okay, even with one less resistor. Just avoid getting your laptop really hot so you can avoid further damage.

My laptop cpu doesnt even hit 70s and gpu doesnt go above 60s it is in 50s (on full load while gaming) actually i have managed laptop thermally well. But i want to ask will it have any other effect on laptop?
@TH-cam Account There's a big chance if the resistor is no longer functioning. But as long as your laptop is working well, don't try to fix it. If that is really a resistor and that resistor is dedicated to the RAM, the problem you could experience is performance.

@@epicamigo5395 Don't use much force unplugging it. There's a small plastic part the both end of the plastic connector, make sure to push at those part simultaneously. Don't pull it out using the cables.

@@georgeabouassaleh8914 oh. For the the RAM it was 8GB. Maximum of 32GB. For the storage the one that I put was 960GB. About the limit, I've never really read anything about a limit but I'm sure 1 TB or even 2TB will work.

It is not possible, can you help me? with the RtX 3050 4GB and not disabling the integrated I do 30 fps on fortnite, disabling the integrated I do 5/10 but disabling the rtx I make 75/80 (all low I'm talking about), on other games like csgo without rtx I do 120 but with it I do 60, stumble guys without it I do 240 and with 60, how is this possible? please help me, i don't really know what it is.
P.S sometimes but rarely opening it the rtx does normal fps, I don't really know what it has, maybe it's the monitor screen connected to the integrated one but I really don't know,please
I'm a little bit confuse. Let me give a try.
If you have a second monitor. Try opening Task Manager and go to Performance then while playing and see if the games are running using your GPU. If not, go to your NVIDIA control panel and make sure all games under Global Settings is using your GPU.
2nd is, your monitor definitely affect your FPS depends on the refresh rate.
3rd is make sure that your drivers are updated.
