Thanks for the honest review, honest ones are hard to come by these days. I have an MEC sling bag and I run into a similar issue of the strap just sliding off my shoulder, making it super annoying to actually use. To know that this Patagonia bag does the same thing is a bummer because I was looking at it. Thanks again for an actual review!!

At 2:16, you swung the bag around the wrong way. You should be going under your arm, not over your shoulder. As for the sliding, you can remedy that by loosening the straps a bit more and letting the pack hang a little lower. Not ideal, but if you like the bag otherwise might be worth a shot.
I tried the Osprey and it seems smaller and not as organization friendly-namely the pocket on the strap is just an open mesh pocket with no closure. I love everything about the Patagonia but the comfort. I wish it were ambidextrous.
@@erinspicerlewis3494 I have the Patagonia sling and I would have preferred it to be ambidextrous but then they will have to redesign the zipper layout, maybe make it clamshell or parallel slit zippers.
I got mine from Patagonia’s website a while ago. I think it was a seasonal color so the best place to find it would be other third-party websites or possibly Patagonia’s Worn Wear website. I hope that helps!!

If the backpack moves while walking, use a stabilization strap. Although I don't think it will solve your shirt problem...

Why does it need to be ambidextrous? Does that mean the patagonia Atom Sling 8L isn't suited for left-handed people?
wish it had two zippers to come together to lock (pick pockets) in Italy/Europe.
run a small thin cable from the top strap to one of those figure 8 type caribiner clips to zipper, no way anyone can open that up easily
I do get back pain by wearing normal backpacks. Do you think this sling variant is better for preventing back pain?

I think that the biggest pocket is a little too small to fit a MacBook unfortunately :/

I don’t believe so… but I have also never attempted to do so. I know there are lots of areas to clip carabiners on, though!
