I wanted to pull off a sort of "Frontline Officer" aesthetic so here you go. There's talents in place to give the Laspistol excessive crit for ammo efficiency assuming there's enough shooters firing at you in a staggered enough pattern to maintain the crit bonus on dodge and stamina for Deadshot.
Was a devil claw/power sword main, but then I saw your video. Used dueling sword for the first time and never looked back! This sword just scratches a spot in my brain that I never knew I had. Great build too!
coming back to the game after a long break, have an Ogryn and psyker at 30 but wanted to try vet this time around. Any suggestions for what weapon set if I want to be a back line support/sniper control? Is that even a thing? Or is every class basically front line...
Hellbore lasgun, vigilant autoguns, zarona revolver, and plasma serve as good long range weapons, that being said Darktide doesn't really allow for true backline gameplay (due to disabler spawns and the game rewarding high mobility) so your role would be staying at the back of the group and shooting approaching threats rather than staying in the back and only using your ranged weapon.
Not every class is frontline but it’s more accurate to treat the team as a 4 man “cqb breaching” squad than have true front or back lines. Generally when I play things that are seemingly “back line” like a veteran with certain long ranged weapons like hellbores, vigiliant autoguns, the slower firing autoguns, etc, I am still mostly trying to follow the team aggressively. This is more for your personal safety even if you support or snipe because of the nature of the AI director. The further isolated you are from your teammates the AI is hardcoded to spawn nuisances at you in particular and at higher frequency. The closest thing you’ll have to a back line is that you’ll try to have a melee teammate in front of you as you shoot but all roles still need to accept falling into a melee range engagement with or without using ranged weapon. (Psykers using their staffs at point blank for example) it’s more accurate to say that you are in the “center” of a formation as a ranged focused character as the melee ideally should orbit between frontline and rearguard as needed to engage whatever is thrown at you but this is more a guideline than hard requirement.

He meant to orbital drop into the Ork’s backline and liberate Imperial holdouts so he could build a guerilla force to flank the Ork Warboss! *absolutely intentional*

@@Vamp0613 oh absolutely yes, I bought the Yarrick cap precisely for that one lol
I dunno this seems obviously broken on other classes. The vet melee talents make me near invincible and I suck. This with double barrel❤
