Hard to explain how this felt when it first came out. All of sublime really It helped define alot of moments in our lives growing up. Drink some bear, sit back and just relax my man. Life seemed simpler
Not sure if I was old enough to remember when it first came out but it definitely was always popular when I was growing up. They got a good style and vibe compared to some other bands that don't really have that essence that connects with you. They’re from LongBeach like Snoop, but the singer overdosed a long time ago. Music style is reggae/ska punk. No Doubt (Gwen Stefani) had that ska punk style too, in their early years.

So Bradley, the singer, used a lot of Spanish when he sang so that’s probably the stuff you don’t understand. Caress me Down is a song of theirs that’s almost half in Spanish, maybe even more than that. My favorite sublime songs are waiting for my rucca, doin time, caress me down( dirty song though lol), scarlet begonias, date rape and new song. Also if you like this ska/reggae vibe that sublime has you should also check out 311, some good songs of theirs are down, amber, all mixed up, hey you, sunset in July, beautiful disaster, come original, and I’ll be here awhile

Took awhile to find another music reaction by you guys got to say you should definitely quit the political nonsense you guys have been doing recently like some other reaction channels have. Just not fun and as worthwhile as the other reaction videos youve done. Either way thanks for the video. Sublime isn't my favorite but they got a good vibe. Either way stay cool and hopefully your channel gets back to what it was before but its up to you do what feels right and stay cool. Hopefully you guys have had a little more success with your channel compared to when I first checked out you guys when you were first starting out. 😎. Y'all know that lead singer Od'd before this hit. Check out "Badfish". Such a tragedy. He took up smack, because of the vibe, community. He only did H for a couple months. Crippled the So Cal music (Orange county).
Bradley Nowell , the lead singer and arguably the heart and soul of sublime died on may 25, 1996 from a heroin over dose. He was left behind by his wife that he literally married like 2 weeks before hand and his 9 month old son Jakob James Nowell, who now has his own band called law. The band wasn't world known until after Brads death and the release of there album, Sublime, Sublime. I can listen to Brad sing all day. They were my fave band growing up and will always have a special place in my heart. Lotsa good music to check out from them. They were a mix of punk, reggae, ska and hip hop. They mixed these genres so flawlessly that many bands have tried to copy it but no one has every hit that same sweet spot that sublime did. The only other band that comes close are the dirty heads which i strongly recommend checking out as well.

About 10 years ago my young nephew said he loved Sublime but the songs were overplayed. I had to laugh. He didn't know about Nowell's tragic heroin death after 1 album.
