Oh my gosh I felt like crying. That was just amazing. Totally loved it. Couldn't stop watching and listening.
This is a very cool piece! My favorite bit is the beginning from 0:25 or so to 1:35 or so, where the piano and the alto flute sound ineffably Spanish somehow. Like a night in the gardens of Spain.
That's because it's based on a piece by an actual Spanish composer -- the second movement of the _Concierto de Aranjuez_ by Joaquin Rodrigo.
I love your playing, as always Jasmine. Sadly I stopped playing in high school and never really kept studying flute, but I think I finally decided to get back into it after 20 years just for personal enjoyment.
Worth mentioning that the flute player on the original recording was Joe Farrell, a jazz musician who was primarily a saxophonist, but one of the handful of jazz players to take the flute very seriously. He plays flute on a number of Return to Forever tracks.
Actually Joe Farrel started on flute......then like many flute players had to double on sax to work.

I really love this! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ This definitely sounds like the beginning of the Joaquin Rodrigo guitar Concerto.
Just found an article explaining (amongst other things) how the intro was inspired by Gil Evans' arrangement of Rodrigo's Concerto on Miles Davis's Sketches of Spain (www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2011/11/how-chick-corea-wrote-spain/248948/).
Apparently Rodrigo disliked Evans' arrangement, but made a good amount of money from royalties...

Very nice : a spanish tune with some korean fragrances
I really wish I could play on a straight head alto because it would make life easier, but it’s too painful to play on those altos so I stick with curved altos.
