    When asked by a reporter how it felt to be one of the best guitarists in the world, Angus replied: "I'm not even the best guitarist in my band!". RIP Malcolm Young.

      My favourite story about Angus, is when one reporter tried to disparage him with the idea that most bands only know three chords, but Angus only knows two. Angus replied: “There are two?”

      Unfortunately the bluesy sound of ACDC also died with him.

    "I like that Cat he's cool." That my friend, is Angus Young. Arguably one of the best best guitarists of all time, and damn sure one of my favorites. • @kingidar
      @kingidar ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Technically he is brilliant!!!! But there are those out there that give a lifetime of practice to just play fast! Fingerpicking solos lightning fast!! But what is that?? Its just annoying! 😂😂
      No one plays like Angus and Malcolm together! The brilliance of the brothers making this groovy, bluesy, hard but still melodic, is not to include 100 different chords in every song, and play really fast, just to claim, «hey we play advanced» 😂😂
      As Malcolm said: why so hung up on the number of chords in a song? Its not how many that counts, but HOW you play them, and HOW two guitarists make it sound for the person listening!!!!
      You all have heard the beginning of «get it hot»? How many chords are they using each? ONE chord each! And then it comes down to HOW they hit the strings with the right hand, and vary from up to downwards, down to upwards, using maybe 2 or 3 of the strings in the original chord, that usually involves 4 or 5 strings, and then the timing and co-playing with maybe 1/10th of a second before the other one,…this is the brilliant «simplicity» of ACDC! Funny though,that NO ONE plays their songs like they do, even if it involves only an A, D and G-chord in a given song??! 😅
      Most dont even try to figure out the timing, rhythm, and hitting, when and how….not just notice, «oh that is just an A chord» 🙈🙈🙈

    In 1980 AC/DC’s lead singer died and he had a crazy unusual voice and they thought they were done. They decided to carry on and found Brian Johnson, probably the only person on earth who could fill Bon Scott’s shoes. They continued to have huge success, more than they’d had in the 70’s.

    You DID notice the lead guitarist (Angus Young, original founding member with Malcolm, his brother - guitarist) is playing that riff with ONE hand, right?! They hail from Scotland and moved to Australia. The original singer, Bon Scott died and Brian Johnson came on board...
    No pressure, right? Love this video and reaction! Try out "Highway to Hell".

    • @Dreyno

      It’s actually easier to play that part with one hand than it is with two. On the record it’s played with two hands (you can hear the pick attack on every single note). He starts it off live with one because it looks cool but then switches to two because that sounds better.

    Yeah it may be unbelievable that some haven’t heard AC/DC songs before but that’s the beauty in seeing this gentleman’s genuine reaction of feeling the energy and really getting “it”. It’s truly a special thing to see. AC/DC has always been one of my favorite go to bands to get me jacked! Whether it was before I took the mound in a baseball game or in the gym or just to pull me out of a low day and set me back on fire. There’s so many songs by the band that get me going, like “Back in Black”, “T.N.T.”, “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap”, “Shoot to Thrill”, “Highway to Hell”. I could go on and on but I leave with one more and it’s “Hells Bells”. I read a comment under a Hells Bells video that said “ This is my neighbor’s favorite song whether they like it or not.”
    Which is to say there is only one way to listen to AC/DC and that’s turned all the way up.
    I Enjoyed the video, keep discovering these songs you haven’t heard before. It’s important. Music is important.
    It’s our past, present and future. The only real Time Machine.
