Love the colours, gives me a van Gogh or Monet impression, lovely images. Too bad the heavy fog. Love how the French lifestyle remains, I noticed a lot of "American vehicles", not too surprised, I liked seeing the European autos The houses remind me of The Netherlands and France of course lol😅 They very much resemble houses painted by van Gogh, Rembrandt and others. It amazes how many people do not realise how close we are to France/Europe 😊 Thanks for sharing, looking forward to the next spot. Cheers,
Thanks Will: The Fog was a bit of a down for me, I did everything I could think of. Then on the trip back, it cleared off. That and an excellent cup of coffee ☕️ really turned it around for me. I got the best images from the deck of the ferry ⛴️ as the fog was clearing. Thanks again for watching 👀. Mike
Hi, 4:52 this is basque cross or lauburu and what you see is Basque pelota court to practice that sport (basque is a specific region across Spain and France with a typical language called euskera) 5:14 this store sells clothes and "soldes" means sales in french 5:32 this a "caisse d'épargne" basically a bank 6:20 more or less the house of the soldier, probably a veteran association 6:30 memorial for sailors lost at sea
I would easily get sea sick on the ferry. Very colorful island. Never heard of this island. Did not know France owned that island. ! Spent 14 months at Goose Bay in Newfoundland. Severe cold there in winter and 100" of snow in winter. Eh. Thanks Sir. 😊😊
I had heard about this place for years. During American Prohibition, it was famous for international smuggling. It's said that Al Capone was a visitor. It's not part of Canada but rather a part of France. It was a unique experience. Thanks for watching. Mike
Thanks for sharing this visit. I have never been to St. Pierre. May I give you a little critique? The HDR effect in some of your photos is a bit strong to my taste. That is just one man’s opinion, of course.
I see what you mean but I like the colors, you can see it as an artist impression. Especially the floating church. You can go the other way with deep black shadows. Both are artist impressions right? (artificially enhanced) I am no expert but I liked this take 🙃
Absolutely stunning!
Thanks very much for watching and especially for commenting it really helps 😀.. Mike
awesome colors, worth that dull wait for sure 😉
Thanks very much 😀

@clarkmadrosen1780 hi Clark: A bit of a rough ride that day. I knew it was French territory and that's why we wanted to see it. Thanks. Mike
@bellasvistas3463 thanks. Still very interesting. Merci. 🇫🇷 .. I have been to Paris twice. Very interesting city.
👍
Never knew that there was a part of france in Canada. Doesn't look much like the france I know. Thanks for sharing learned something today! Grt guido

Well it's not IN Canada. It is a 'department', a part of France.
@randall8379 yeah I got that I mean that I never knew that there was a part so close to Canada. But thnx for explaining 🙂

@@tip00former1 I may well be in the wrong. Last month I had new lenses put in my eyes after developing cataracts. Now everything seems HDR. :D
@@RoderickJMacdonald Haha, sounds like you have a good time.
You interpreted the French signs correctly.
Thanks for watching. Mike
