Thank you so much! We do what we need to do, but I’m happy my son has been able to achieve what he was hoping for….the rental market here is very competitive and hard to get somewhere. He needed to be doing his own thing, as much as I do 😉

Lovely space Jackie, good to see some of your lovely artwork, hope you will eventually display some more. I have a small room crammed with my arts and craft stuff plus day bed (which I ‘m currently sleeping in as it’s downstairs and more convenient as I’m waiting for hip surgery 🤞🏻hopefully not much longer) and as you say difficult to get my supplies easily. My son has bought a house and it’s coming close to him moving out so my plan is to have his room which will be great. I think your furniture looks lovely, the wood makes the room so cosy and probably much better made than modern office furniture x
Room tours are my favorite along with purchase hauls. I'm a believer that everything doesn't have to match. It can still come together and flow well as yours does. I got a large bookcase cheap and I'm always rearranging it to make it look neater or just for a different look. I quickly get bored of a layout. Why buy office furniture when what you already have works well? Everything flows well with the fireplace. Refinishing the table is something I would do but a job I have never attempted. Been afraid of trying it cause I'm sure it wouldn't end up looking new.lol. As I always say, if it's not broke don't fix it! Your room looks nice as it is and cozy. I'd have a special dedicated room but can't sit at a desk due to spine problems so no sense in creating one. Ikea carts are so handy to move supplies to another room. Love your space and all the matching wood. I had drawers like your grayish plastic setup. Mine was half that size, the smaller drawers with each in a different bright color. They barely held any weight or the drawer would fall because they weren't quite wide enough to stay in their tracks. I used other plastic drawers but didn't care for them because they didn't hold weight and you could see thru them. I'm always on the hunt for new ideas. Thanks for sharing with us!
Those plastic drawers can’t cope with much weight….which is a perfect reminder for someone wanting to be more minimalist 🤣 thanks for visiting - I think I’d like to attempt some refurbishing of the current furniture (the table has some deep scratches and gouges that could do with some filler and a sand, it’s already lived a real life and the varnish is patchy) it’s amazing how much more comfortable it all seems now that I actually have a comfortable chair 😆 I like that some of the furniture has come to me via friends with a story too, I have a sentimental streak now and then that likes that sort of thing.
Hi Jackie! Your artroom looks nice! I told you that i paint my furniture but that was because we redid the floors with a different color, so it was a missmatch. Your furniture looks good together! Your artwork is amazing!!

I absolutely love your studio, it is so warm and welcoming! It’s my opinion that you don’t need matching furniture…in fact I prefer my stuff not to be matchy matchy. You could put several large candles of various height in the fireplace, that’s just an idea. I love all the storage, the organization and the windows too. The framed art is really good.
