Most of the surgical instruments available in India are made in Pakistan.. both good and average quality instruments are available. Western brands usually buy from these Pakistani manufacturers at low prices, give them great packaging and they become high quality
I wanted to comment but what you wrote were the exact things I was thinking. ThanK God I did not write anything non sensible. I was just thinking that the clothes are comfortable yet they are loose and can be sucked in by any machine. Further during the buffing and polishing process the workers should be given the protective gear. Ironically the workers are producing equipment for the health of the others at the cost of their own health. May Wahe Guruji bless them all
In the US, Pakistani surgical instruments are considered cheap, single use disposable, recyclable surgical supplies - lower quality stuff of weak steel. Not even worth the time in an autoclave for reuse.
But what I saw in Pakistan is labours condition is very poor and miser and they work under very risky conditions. No safety system at all.usually all factories are just like huts with lots of dust.Very dissapointing.

А оперироваться такими инструментами вообще клево. Сталь мягкая, отсутствие хромирования, ржавчина на зажимах вызовет у пациента столбняк. Хорошо что еще скальпели не делают.

Those are clearly for poorer countries. First world countries & western countries wouldn't use them, simply because of the risk of medical malpractice lawsuits in the US & other developed countries, they wouldn't be imported to the US, & certainly wouldn't be used in developed countries due to the manufacturing process.

I've seen the "quality" that comes out of these factories. I appreciate handmade items and that these men have work, but I wouldn't mark this as "quality", more like "quantity" and "low to good-enough quality". How are they sanitized after production as well?
Take away all of the worker safety standards, workplace safety standards and environmental requirements and it is easy to see why the US cannot compete for these items.
these are the low quality stuff. a foundry, is a foundry, is a foundry. Clothes and safety precautions may differ from place to place, and some may be more automated, but they are essentially the same. The quality is the steel, and in the US "Pakistan" stamped into an instrument means "single use only, disposable"
What an unpleasant working environment ! Workers in there are not PROTECTED from hazardous materials like fine particles from grinding or polishing. These fine particles when long tern inhaled will definitely cause respiratory problems. I will call these facilities " Blood Factories " !

Pakistan has the knowledge and the people to make their own cars, machinery and even weapons if they really wanted to. They aren't as high quality steel, so they rust and deteriorate faster.
