No, not yet. This camera has a major flaw, there is no light indication on the front of the camera to let you know its recording or even on! I haven't given up, I just made a "boom" that allows me to swing the camera towards me to make sure its on and swing away to record. I have filmed some mountain biking from my helmet and such and it seems like a nice picture, I wouldn't buy any camera again without some front indicator lights as I mostly film myself!
@@TahoeYakFisher interesting, are you not able to turn it on once and use the remote from there on? Or does it turn off automatically after a certain period of time?
@@thevalrangler714 So, the first time I tried to use it, by the time I hit record on the remote, the camera had turned off! I found the setting to keep the camera on and the second time I tried to use it, by the time I hit record the battery had died! Don't get me wrong, my GoPro dies if I leave it on also, I fish for 6 hours at a time! The Akaso is far more intuitive than my old Hero 3 Silver and other than that one flaw I like it. I don't have a ton of experience with it yet but I have used it on my bike a half a dozen times. I think the boom I made will make it "usable" on the kayak, I hope to try next week. Monday or Tuesday, I will make it a priority to use the new camera.
@@TahoeYakFisher ah gotcha, I am planning to get a boom anyway alongside the camera so I guess I can just turn it on. I see people doing that with their gopros too.
@@thevalrangler714 OK, three things, now that I'm thinking about it... the Akaso I chose had the best image stabilization in the class but the worst internal microphone. And lastly, if your purpose is TH-cam than 4k isn't necessary and uses more battery. Hope this helps.
Goodd share coz i also will using this after this😅😅..thank you friend👍👍👍
Love you're dog
@@johnzisa8855 Me too!
Nice setup! Fyi there's a firmware update for the camera in last three weeks that improves microphone and image quality.
Nice 👍🏻!
Nice !
I did figure out how to remove the date stamp, btw.
Do you have any videos with footage from this camera on your yak? It looks like they're all recorded from the one you have in the back.
