This is like Einstein of Carnatic music, this young man is unlike anyone, blazing his own trail so early, singing full phrases even in aalap, making for a melodious concert, the mridangist NC Bharadwaj’s gentle accompaniment with BC Purushottam providing incredible touches on the kanjira, both of them matching Ramakrishnan Murthy’s speed, Charumati Raghuraman is proving to be the next Lalgudi, with a reply for every phrase introduced by Murthy, matching his speed, I wish them all many more successful performances. Thanks folks!

Every year Sri RKM is pushing his boundary to produce a truly genuine experience for his listeners, and so are CR and NCB. Varali was rendered with great restraint just the way KVN would. This is probably one of the best concerts of this season. Rather than appreciating the extent to which these youngsters have tried to preserve the authenticity of the music and enjoying the musical experience, Mr. Kanti Kumar (one of the critics in this thread) has chosen to demoralize these dedicated musicians. Sri RKM could have had a lucrative career in the US after earning his Informatics BS degree at UC Irvine. Instead, he chose to pursue a career in music; kudos to his dedication. I am sure these young artists would like to hear constructive criticism of their music but not an irrelevant rant about being distracted by shishyas shaking their heads. Mr. KK, get a life man!
Well said TNS. True artists will prevail no matter what the critics say. In one of his interviews RKM had mentioned that he is not a traditionalist and is open to experimentation as long as it stays within the bounds. In this concert at least I felt I was listening to an old soul singing especially the Varali. Keep them coming RKM. You have a fan following now!

Mr. Murthy has a different kind of voice,. Attractive during his music concerts with fine and skilful accompaniments like Mm. Charumathi on violin etc.

What talented young musician. One word superb concert. RTP simply divine showed their musical mastery. I can see so much of KVN sir in Ramakrishnan Murthy and Charumathi showed the TNK sir’s soft bowing so beautifully. My favourite artists of yesteryears and it is so wonderful see them through these youngsters. The ragamaligai virutham is like honey. Our music in great hands.👏👏👏👏
Amazing cutchery, unbelievably beautiful RTP in a rare combination. Great choice of compositions with superbly chaste pronunciation and rendition. The ease with which the artist traversed the beautiful octaves of Mohanakalyani and Todi makes it all the more satisfying for the listener.Marvelously accompanied by Ms. Charumathi, Bharadwaj and Purushottaman. RKM is an accomplished singer. He gives more than 100% of his talents . In raagamalika swaram Sindhubhairavi is wonderful & his mixing of all Raagas is outstanding. Superb Kalpanaswarams. I fail in my duty if I appreciate less the talent of TNK's disciple Charumathi who is exquisite..

Excellent concert. Incredible to hear a RTP where two ragas are used in the Ragam and Tanam and then a ragamalika in the pallavi. Wonderful to see hear Charumati rise to the occasion everytime. Karnatik music in good young hands!

Kalasagaram was one of the beacon s in classical music and dance in Secunderabad. It used to be conducted in Keyes High School my Alammater..It is very glad to see it online

One of the finest RTP I've heard in years! Fantastic how the singer and the violinist weaved two complimentary raga pairs in every segment of the RTP seamlessly transitioning between them. Wonderful MohanaKalyani-Thodi followed by Dhanyasi-Kalyani, SindhuBhairavi-Behag swarakalpana.

Dhanyasi and Sindhubhairavi are janya of Todi.
Mohanakalyani and Behag are janya of Kalyani. (Well almost)
So it was appropriate to have these Todi group ragas versus Kalyani group ragas!😊
Ramakrishnan is my favourite singer. This concert is excellent. The pallavi is very good. I enjoyed very much.
None but Muthuswami Dikshitar can compose so beautifully. Divine music.

Well done ... great concert. After a long time, I heard a very good Ramakrishnan Murthy’s concert with Charumathy Raguraman’s violin. Miruthangam also well accomplished with the concert. The Kanjira musician also graced the occasion by giving excellent rhythmic kolas. What an experience… The capturing the video and broadcast was also excellent.

Another very splendid concert of RKM and CHARU combination. This combine never fails to reach the pinnacle of performance every time because of several exceptional reasons : " Both CHARU and RKM are profoundly talented and very highly accomplished. Both are young , very handsome and equally blithesome. They both have all endearing stage manners too ". No wonder brilliant RKM and charming CHARU together in every concert weave a glorious fabric of fantastic , spell binding pure Carnatic Classical Music . I wish both of them still greater success in all their musical endeavours. The percussion support by both the maestros is also extraordinary.
Ramakrishnan Murthy is excellent as always. The violin accompaniment is outstanding, matching the main artiste at every step or inflection! Top class on the whole.

Msg from Srinivasan ex jt secy Kalasagaram husband of Sivakami alias Sowmya, I am proud and happy to state that he performed a chamber concert at a young age in Kalasagaram, one of the life members of Kalasagaram who was hosting him requested the then Secy Kalasagaram Mr. Rajagopal for a concert at short notice. So, I and Rajagopal decided to put him on stage and the rest is history as they say. Talented and humble musician. He later performed many times in Kalasagaram. Before the initial concert, he came to my home the previous day to participants in a music meeting organized by my wife Sowmya who is a carnatic musician. I could find the spark and abundant talent in him. He has scaled great heights Proud of hiim
