My s22i was making a scraping sound, the pedals were a bit loose. After removing the left pedal and shifting the whole drive assembly left, then putting the left pedal back on and tightening it down with some T-Handle allen wrenches it was very smooth and silent
Super helpful video. I ended up getting replacement parts for the frame bearing directly from Nordictrack and this video got me through. Our bike had visible wear on the bearings and it was producing a terrible ride. So far it feels smooth like day 1 of the bike.
@@Tenders64 Next time, get the Park Tool for bottom bracket removal. Also, I am upgrading my bearings to SRAM instead of the cheap ones that Nordictrack provided me. Same issue.
Looking for help. Just had mine delivered and set up and that part with the orange sticker is rubbing on the fly wheel. Doesn’t seem like something I can fix myself. What can I do?
Is this part listed in the parts list as Key No. 63 "Frame Bearing". My S22i has a clunk when pedaling that feels like the resistance is different at one point of the pedal stroke. It happens at all resistance levels and RPMs. Do you think replacing this part will resolve this issue. The belt doesn't slip and feels okay; the pedals are tight.
I've crossed paths with allot of these lately that the pedal itself wasn't tightened tight enough, also creating that same sound. Double check that before trying to get to those bearings.
Do you have any advice for removing a really stuck frame bearing? Got my right side (reverse threaded) one off, but the standard threaded left side won’t budge…
Do you have the part number for these bearings and where to order them? The right side in my wifes bike is bad, tried repacking it with wheel bearing grease and its improved but still makes noise. Thanks
@@gitfit875 thanks but its the bearing, I had the machine apart and the left one had a lot of free play so I unscrewed it and pack some grease in it but won't last. The right side is smooth without any play. I found some ceramic upgrades on eBay that I ordered
@@gitfit875 To follow up, I received the ceramic upgrades (MPN 390160) faster than expected since they came from Alberta Canada to me in south Florida in one week and they fit and perform perfect if anything they seem better than the factory bearings.
I hate this company! With the complaints I see on Facebook groups of all these Nordictrack bikes, I don't understand how there is no class action lawsuit against them yet? I've had my bike for a few days when i first got it and after only using it for 2 1/2 hours. My bike started doing this same clicking when pedaling it! This should not be happening when paying $2400 for a bike! I contacted customer service. Ive sent them the video of the problem for them to see and hear whats happening. Their response.....was telling me to take the cover off and see if I can pinpoint the problem and figure out what it is and where it's coming from. Really?!?!
The screw on the crank arm doesn’t strip every time. You have to loosen the Allen screws on the side first. You coulda saved yourself the trouble of cutting into it but thank you for sharing
Removing those two other Allen screws not make any difference.. I'm using an actual professional park tool allen with impact driver and it doesn't budge. The Allen wrench chews through.. And in this case drilling or making a slot for a screwdriver would not help as there's no way to get enough leverage on the screwdriver to move it..
I took a very large slotted screwdriver and gently tapped in with a hammer to spread the crank arms apart a little bit.. I was able to get it to come loose even with it stripped...if I would have done that before I would not have stripped it out. putting it back together only needs slight tension anyway with some blue Loctite❤

Also I had to use pliers the entire time when removing and installing the bearings. We had a lot of wear.

If you loosen the larger screws on the crank arms first, the small inner screw comes out without stripping.

Heat. A propane torch may break it loose
Use a breaker bar and a 16-Notch 44mm bottom bracket socket (BBT-69.2)

Iconservice.com...... check the pedals themselves, I keep crossing paths with bikes that the pedals aren't tightened down causing the same noise

@@ThePalmiterfamily1 that’s weird. It works every time for me. I’ve never had to cut a notch into that screw
