I am Bing watching your old videos in my spare time better than Netflix
Cool! I agree with you, Netflix has gone downhill. I watch TH-cam a bunch
Looks like you got the planter dialed in 👍 Simon the singulation mouse 🤣
It did a great job! It was probably all due to Simon’s help 🤣
Like seeing that Oliver in a big field.
It looks awesome!!
looks like the planter is doing a great job I guess time will tell
That one was fun. Nice to see the work you did on the planter worked! I love how the bins bounce up and down, looking like the Whack-A-Mole game. And when you speed it up, they look like they're dancing to the music!
It was a long road but I’m glad that it finally paid off. I like watching it plant and the seed came up excellent so we’re on the right track.
Nicely done wish we could see what kind of stand you got!
Nice oil pressure on the 1855!
I built this motor myself, its way better than the pressure it had before. Maybe the rings weren’t seated before 🤣
@@rosstheoliverman Too much oil will do that.
@@ThatOliverGuyChris for every quart of oil you need to add 1” of cardboard to the front of the radiator 👌🏻
thank you for taking us along
Besides your 2 big 4x4s what's your 3rd biggest tractor?
Probably the 1955 in pieces.
What's your 3rd biggest you can actually use
👀 good Ross. Well worth all of your effort getting that planter ready. 👍👍
Thanks Tom! It’s been working great!
Ross I think you did a very good job on the planter. It looks lot neater the you fixed thx Ross
Thanks! I’m happy with the way it turned out.
How fast can you plant beans with a white? Looks like you’re moving along a decent clip!
Up to 7 mph
@@rosstheoliverman that’s pretty darn fast! You guys plant corn around 5 still? It’s been awhile since I had my 5100 8 row vertical fold. And I never planted any beans with it
Good looking neatly layed out planter. Interesting video of the seed meters working...
I think it’s a fascinating design. Just air and one moving part to move the seed.
Nice to see Simon served a purpose in the end other than chewing through wiring and using tractor cabs as a all you can eat buffet.
Simon is my favorite kind of mouse. He never asks for anything 🤣
those seed boxes moving up & down reminded me of wackamole at the county fair
🤣 I thought they looked like they were dancing along to the music!
I s this the 1655 your grandpa bought? Would it pull that disk/harrow you used before planting the soybeans?
The tractor to the planter is the 1855. If you’re talking about that disk I pulled with the 1755, it’s slightly too big for the 1655. It will pull up but it’s quite a load.
The singing planter . Cool beans bro !
🤣 Those scrapers are loud!!
Your 1855 is sounding great, good looking seed bed
Thanks Adam!
What's that box you have mounted behind the steering wheel?
It’s the monitor for my round baler
Excellent video Ross keep them coming! Thanks for the ride along. The 1855 really sounds great!! Wish I had one!
Thanks John! I love the 310T sound!
Great to see the new planter in action. The 1855 and that planter make a sweet rig.
Thanks! I think it worked great!!
hey Ross - the Oliver sounded good and the 5100 seemed to be working well also. Noticed you have the same soybean seed disks and I do - the ones with the holes in each cell that holds 2 seeds each. They also make a disk where each cell only holds 1 seed. Looks like a lot of the parts off of your 5100 would work on my 4 row 5100 and I'm sure you'd be willing to sell me parts off of yours if I needed them. LOL!!! There are some things you can't get any more - like the gauge wheel arms, etc. I bought some used ones because mine are getting worn.
I’ve been looking for spare parts. I may end up buying another whole planter just for that. After this year is done, I’m gonna take all the gauge wheel arms off and have the machines out to take those replaceable bushings. Then they really shouldn’t be anything that goes bad on them unless one breaks. I don’t think that I could get the population I want with the single seed disc. I had it set around 165,000
@@rosstheoliverman Well, one thing I noticed about those gauge wheel arms is that the holes in them where the gauge wheel bearing stem attaches gets worn a little big, then the wheel wobbles. I've been shimming them with really thin sheet metal, but I'm thinking of taking them to a local machine shop and having them weld the holes shut and then re-drill them to the right diameter to fit snug over those gauge wheel bearing stems. I bought 6 used arms online and the holes don't seem to be worn to bad, so at least I have some to work with over time.
How do you adjust plant population on this?
Well I'll disagree with your seed man, A soybean laying on top of the ground doesn't grow, At least around here! Simon is one of the best !!
I think his point was just don’t go too deep. Simon is the best mouse I’ve ever had.🤣
I would think that if running the marker track with the tire is accurate, why change it.
That’s what I decided to do. The only thing is, I need to readjust it now because it has vibrated shorter still so now it’s off.
Only a old farmer would understand I bet you even like old cars and trucks and going to a junkyard
I could walk around a junkyard for hours!
Simon dying of cancer?
I think he passed from dehydration 🤣
@@rosstheoliverman I think he had some lack o wadda syndrome
@@Jane-rq7sv he’s watching his weight 🤣
@@rosstheoliverman he took it a little seriously
