Most cherished/classic cars are driven fairly sedately like this. Which, to anyone who has ever owned anything of value, makes a lot of sense. To those who haven't then just go to Settings on the vid and set Playback Speed to x2 and get your vicarious thrills that way.
I love the Lotus Carlton & obviously 40 RA having the history it had with it, I wonder what Misha would have thought of it? Lovely car & one I know I shall never own but good to see it at the green (wet) hell!!
For so many Years 40RA was a thing of mystery and Folk law It is merely just a proud owner fulfilling a personal dream, and letting it stretch its legs a little. It has nothing to prove in the current climate. It’s was the king of the hill in it’s time, and remains a deserved legend. Thanks Richard for the recreation and sharing it with us.
Nothing wrong with that. Clearly a non racing driver, driving what should be a boring Executive class car that got possessed by the 👿 devil ... Or in this case Lotus.
Nice one Oscar thanks for sharing mate
Glad you enjoyed it
I love that fact that the original owner bought another lotus carlton and put the his private plate back on

Slow and steady wins the race! I'm glad he drove calmly with it, it's easily the most exciting car on that track and has nothing to prove. Great vid.
Looks like it was a fairly quiet day. I've never been for fear of getting harassed by loads of faster cars.
Excellent 👍
He should get "Misha Charoudin" to take it around the track,.We have to see how this classic will do in these modern times!

The Co pilot is encouraging, I bet he acts as his traction control on the way to Asda 😂
I wonder if 40RA is as well known outside the UK.
There was a successful video on it in the states.
wasn't it featured in a popular computer game, maybe gta3?
@@01302 I'm too old for computer games 😃

A beautifu car just begging to be let loose and opened up. I wouldn't take the risk with those old tyres, really needs some fresh rubber.
It was clearly on completely the wrong tyres.
You didn’t have to watch it and if you cannot say anything positive why say anything at all !
So you’ve subbed to somebody who’s content you don’t like, then whinge like an old woman about it
Got you 👍🏼
@@KungFuPanda989 I couldn’t really care less mate. And it wasn’t my opinion it was an observation.
Go back to your Kung Fu.
You should of got a fake police car to follow you round 🤣👌
Lol 😂
